"You should be fine." Dr. Stevens says to Joe Stanton, letting him stand up and throw his t-shirt back on. The doc jots down some notes, glancing up at Joe when he reaches for the FSC and he scoops it up into his arms. "But if you show any signs of a concussion, or you feel funny at all, contact me. You know my number." Andre says sternly and Joe nods wearily, looking Andre in the eye he smiles at him. "Thanks, doc." Nodding his head again as something of a farewell, he makes his way to the door and he exits the makeshift medical area. Relief washes over him when he's free of the situation, looking like he's happy to be anywhere but there. Idly he touches the red spot on his forehead where steel met flesh earlier. " [size0]Hmph." The Scarlet Speedster grunts out, not looking too worried about it. "Oh. Um..." The familiar voice comes a few steps ahead of Joe where the Platinum Queen Kim Coulter finds herself alone in the hall with the Scarlet Speedster. She looks about as awkward about this as you would expect (assuming you know their history). Glancing back the way she came and then towards the direction she was headed, which happens to be straight through the Fighting Spirit Champion, Kim looks conflicted about her next move. "Hey?" It's both a greeting and by the sound of his tone, a suggestion for something for Kim to say when he notices her. Though it's clear he's not forcing interaction, side stepping so that she has an escape route if she desires one. "Got to admit, it's weird." Something's on Joe's mind, it's not the awkwardness Kim feels though. He glances down at the championship that's in his possession. "Were you that confident in Garcia? Because I had it pegged that at Anarchy I'd be standing across from Nathaniel or Stephen. Depending on which one you sicced on Johnny and if you wanted to use that rematch clause." There's a lot mixing together to make up the look Joe gives Kim and the tone of his voice when he asks her about the Rising Champion. Most of it seems like he's having a hard time believing the theory Kim had such confidence in Rob. Glancing to the side, he shrugs his shoulders. "Not that I'm complaining." A smile tries to creep onto his face, even now the thought of tumbling with Freakshow putting him in a good mood. "Maybe I did." There's a glimmer of the Kim Coulter that we all know as she backs her Rising client, at least with her words. There's something else trying to overpower the familiar cockiness of the Platinum Queen and it becomes more apparent as she decides to continue on her way. Which, of course, has her walking directly towards the Fighting Spirit Champion. She slows and comes to a stop near him, even though there's plenty of space for her to just keep walking thanks to Joe being a gentleman. Shocking, I know. "I guess, consider yourself lucky?" Rather than tell him that he's lucky for avoiding one of her clients, she's just making a casual suggestion as she looks the champ up and down. When her eyes come back up to his she offers a small smile. "Lucky, huh..." That suggestion bounces around Joe's head, a thought he can't quite wrap it around right now. He repeats the word with uncertainty. "Not sure I'm the lucky one." Only two by Joe's count aren't in Kim Coulter's umbrella of control, should things go bad for the good guys. He offers a smile back to reinforce the friendliness of his banter, looking down at Kim. She shrugs, her smile growing a little bit as she does. "Yeah. Well. Good luck at Anarchy. It'd be a real shame to see you lose the title so soon." She manages a full smile along with a nod. "It looks... really good on you." Kim walks off and Joe glances down at the title belt in his possession, looking at it. Something about Kim's departure catches Joe's eye and he looks the way she departed...then leans forward to get an even better look? Whatever's got his attention slips though and he stares at the Fighting Spirit Championship. " [size0]Lucky..." Muttering that word to himself again, his head's full of dozens of thoughts when the camera fades to black. |
