Zombie Black is outside his Winnebago, looking rather guilty over smoking a cigarette. A hand suddenly clamps down onto his shoulder causing him to start, and it's owner rounds him, Joe Stanton grinning at him.

"Don't tell me you came just for the free catering?"

Joking, Stanton mimes eating a sandwich in case Zombie forgot. He pats him on the shoulder again and he looks around them.

"Or, did you want to hear my announcing up close and personal? I admit I'm no Joseph Solie, but few are, man."

Feinting at bragging, Joe waves off the idea. Going one step further by joking again...least presumably. Though it's a mystery why he'd joke about a professional like Joseph Solie. Black grins and moves the cig so the smoke doesn't blow in Joe's face.

"Yeah, I mean... quality stuff either way."

He holds out a fist for that weird vertical pound that people sometimes do, Joe's fist meets his to do that very gesture.

"I also wanted a look at Holland. We've had some rough times in the past... no apologies on either side. Seems good now, business is business... y'know. Sometimes you gotta put on a scary mask and fuck people up for a while."

Ain't that the truth.

"Didn't expect they'd put us in a match together. Should be fun, though."

There's something in the air, and it ain't the cigarette smoke. Joe's not always the most observant, but he can tell something's amiss by his face. Though he maintains a sympathetic grin.

"Yeah, wasn't really expecting that either."

Tilting his head, he confesses he hadn't expected THEM to meet.

"Worried at all?"

Trying his best to not be obvious he's asking what's up but with subtly missing from his question, he asks the question. The sympathetic look stays on his face when he rubs his head.

"Could tell you what not to do, if you are."

Joking again, Joe tries to lighten the mood by bringing up his bad luck with Erik. Black takes another drag, shaking his head.

"Match is a match. Friendly competition, y'know? No titles, no egos on the line. Somethin' kinda... pure in that. Y'know? Uninhibited by my own desire to win."

There's that feeling again.

"Maybe just... put on a good match. Kinda nice."

He nods at Joe, smiling beneath heavy shades.

"Thinkin' of havin' a real British fry-up tomorrow, out here in the parking lot. You in?"

Joe's been looking at Zombie for most of their conversation, but he takes a good, hard look at him when he's talking about the match. It all goes away at the mention of the fry-up though.

"Does the Coulter Crew like cosplaying Reservoir Dogs?"

Zombie seems to be trying to wrap his head around that one, so the question hangs. Joe shakes his head and offers up his fist to Zombie to pound and gets his adamant response.

"You bet, man. If you need help or want me to grab anything for you, let me know."

"I could use an extra set of arms. I wanna pay for everything though. FIW and its people have given so much to me... I wanna give back."

Black finishes his cigarette and stands up, flicking the butt in a nearby bin.

"You got that guy Freakshow again, right? Only this time for your title? I prefer to be all-inclusive, but if you want me to lose his invite..."

Joe nods his head and immediately balks afterwards when Zombie offers to lose an invite. Shaking his head, he waves off the offer.

"Dude, no. It's cool, really."

Surprisingly, Joe sounds genuinely okay with the idea of Freakshow showing up. He glances down with a more of a somber look.

"I mean, yeah, it is for the title..."

He looks up with a toothy grin.

"But this is what I want, man. Fights, real fights, fun fights! The kind of fights like that battle royal, like what Erik and you are going to have, a knock-down, drag-out, burning-down-the-house, battle! No bull, just violence."

The energy's flowing through Joe when he gets talking about it, looking like a hungry wolf licking his chops. He gives Zombie a playful nudge with his knuckles when he brings up his own match.

"Besides, the guy's not douchenozzle like some."

As if he needed any more reason to like him, Joe gestures that added reasoning like he's serving Zombie something on a platter. Surprisingly, Zombie declines.

"Yeah, I'm tryin' to give people a chance. I've been through a lot of shit, I've done a lot of stuff people would categorize as... just as bad, if not worse than the Coulter Crew. And... Kim's part of the reason I'm here now."

He shrugs his shoulders and looks somewhat apologetically at Joe.

"It's hard to be mad at that, even if they're doing some evil shit. They have their reasons, y'know? Maybe they aren't very good reasons, but I'm not sure that's for me to decide."

His voice is more thoughtful than assertive. These are ideas he's entertaining, not a stance he's committed to 100%. Nodding, Joe looks like he follows what Zombie's saying. The more he reflects on it, the more it's looking like Joe's having a hard time deciding what he thinks the definitive answer is.

"You got a point."

Sighing, he runs a hand over his hair.

"I don't think you have a bad policy, hell, it's basically what I try to do. But just be careful who you hand chances out to. From my experiences in this industry, some people will use them to hurt yours and you. You've had enough bad luck for one life time I reckon, it's time some good luck came your way."

A friendly warning from Joe turns into almost sounding like he's asking a question of Black, like if he gets or agrees with what he's saying.

"A girlfriend I never see, a sister I never want to see, and a bunch of friends who can take care of themselves?"

Zombie pats Joe on the arm.

"I'll take my chances. C'mon, let's go get the stuff for the fry-up."

Stanton's initial remorseful look turns into a smile when Zombie makes it into a joke and the two push off from their resting spot. With Zombie leading the charge, Joe's right behind him when the duo walks off camera.

" [size0]Wait...You got a girlfriend?"

It's on this amused, yet puzzled question the footage fades to black.
