*We open inside Panopticon again. Both Alpha Wolves are there, but there's no chairs, no rocks, no Anna Bowie, no nothing. Just the two of them.*

You know, in the middle of having to deal with NBE and their awful habit of, well, I think my husband already spelled it out pretty accurately already, anyway, he forgot to take down one little detail of NBE's dumb rant.

Why yes, we do believe we will win this. We believe and we achieve. It's been our credo since 2010. It ain't arrogance or cockiness, it's confidence. When the Crew or NBE decided to talk way too much shit about us while knowing full well we can make them eat it, that's arrogance. When we call our shots and pull them off, that's a product of confidence. Muhammed Ali did it. So did Conor McGregor. So did Joe Namath. Like Mr. Ritchie says, it ain't bragging if you do it and you back it up.

Besides, I think it's plenty obvious that the Crew is walking into this arrogantly thinking they're somehow going to survive with the titles intact, and Badd Breed already said that they're out to either get the belts themselves or to make sure the Crew leaves without them. So Hikou's claim goes straight down the drain, lands on Go To Jail, do not pass Go, do not collect $200. It becomes as pointless as their goat is.

The problem that NBE is inevitably going to run into is something called reality, and it's the same problem that the other teams are going to face. When you go out of your way to anger someone, and you get stuck in a situation where you don't get to run away from that someone- Oh, I know, Rebel, you're going to insist that you and Hikou won't run, that you've never run, and we already know that's a goddamned lie. And you're going to go off on another drunken and incoherent rant that nobody is going to listen to because it'll be the same heap of ignorant name-calling garbage that you always have, because that's all you know. You absolutely suck at speaking, Rebel, and my parents taught me that if you have nothing relevant to say, you're better off being silent. And that's a lesson a lot of people in FIW seem to need to be taught. There's too many people here talking and too few people actually saying anything, and Rebel, you're firmly in the first class. I don't think you have any interest in improving your spot, either. And this doesn't just go for your hideous attempts at trying to talk. It's beeen clear to us and to everyone else for a long time that the only reason you're in FIW is to get drunk and engage in behavior that would have gotten you canned from any other company. We've made it clear that we're here for three things: to win every title we can, cement our place among the greatest that this sport, not just this company, this sport has ever seen, and to help the rest of the good guys send the Crew packing once and for all. And if you're only going to be here to get drunk and waste your time calling people horrible things, then you may as well get out now because you'll never have any worth in this sport whatsoever other than to fall flat on your face against anyone better and smarter than you, just like you did at Rise Of A Legend. It's a shame that Hikou is getting dragged down with you. It really is.

*And that prompts Richlen to shake his head in disagreement.*

Actually, no, you two deserve each other, because he's turned into a lazy sot just like you, Rebel. Maybe if he were to finally grow a brain and ditch you and your enabler you call a manager, actually feel bad for saying that since calling her or Coulter "managers" is a goddamned insult to managers, he'd actually be something more than a glorified jabroni! But instead, he's going to waste his career stuck with you and that damned goat, who is probably being poisoned by you feeding him the English equivalent of Cocoa Krispies, poor thing, and Hikou will end up a punchline just like you are!

*Shaelin just smirks.*

Speaking of punchlines, Krueger just had to open his mouth and make a fool of himself again. Last time I heard someone lie so damn much, I was watching C-SPAN.

But really, should anyone be surprised? I mean, we are talking about someone who still thinks he's in 2011. He still wants everyone to respect him without bothering to show any back. He gets pissy because we don't give him any respect, well, where the hell is ours? Oh wait, he's with that bitch I already beat, so we're never going to get any. But guess what that means? We'll just have to beat it out of him. Again.

Because you want to know something, Krueger? That's how we operate. We don't run around and act like we're entitled to shit because of what we've done in the past. We don't go around asking for title shots that we haven't earned or matches that we don't deserve. We go out and earn our keep. We win our prizes. This isn't supposed to be somewhere where if we don't get a "participation" trophy, we throw a hissy fit. The Crew already is bad enough for that. Nobody is entitled to jack, shit, jack shit, or the square root of minus jack shit, no matter how much you insist otherwise. We work for what we want, which makes it insanely laughable when you get handed a title match by that bitch and then you turn around and accuse us of laziness because we believe in earning shots. But you want to know something? In the unlikely event that you leave Panopticon with the titles, we have a rematch clause that we can easily use whenever we feel like it, just like Coulter pulled on us. It's gonna make you look real stupid when your tactics come back to bite you on the ass.

But hey, who cares, right? I mean, you'll always have 2011 to fall back on when someone wants to take a shot, right?

Sure as hell ain't going to do you any good on Saturday. You lost the only other one you've been in. Big fuckin' woop. All that does is show weakness. It shows that our odds of taking you and Claudel out of the match have just gotten so much better. And it's so difficult for you to admit that, for you to admit that this match is absolutely perfect for us, because you don't want Coulter to realize you're weak and kick you to the curb. You're right, the Crew isn't a family, but that isn't what the rest of them would have you believe. And that means that once it becomes clear that you're nothing but a past-his-prime failure, you're going to get kicked to the curb. That's what passes for loyalty with Coulter. I've seen it plenty of times so don't think it won't happen. In fact, you may want to be that much more wary of Claudel now that you know that. I'm sure that he'll be that desperate to convince himself that the decision he's made isn't going to end badly for him after all when we all know that it will. But then again, you should be an expert on divorces by now.

*Well, that's pretty cruel of him, but he's already made it clear many times before that he's lost all respect for Krueger so it shouldn't be unexpected.*

And it's pretty mind-boggling, really, that you and Claudel would show any signs of weakness going into this match, or really that any of the other teams would. We already know how to beat you. We already know how to beat, hell, the only team we haven't beaten has been TMS and their turn is coming up. We're not trapped in here with you. You're trapped in here with us. It's like every restaurant in town just opened their doors and said, "Here you go, you two. It's all-you-can-eat time." We really don't give a damn about the physical toll it may take because as far as we're concerned, that's a pretty small price to pay to hang another loss on five teams' records and walk away with our titles again. And knowing that two of those teams are you and NBE makes it that much better.

So let me ask you this, Krueger: what exactly do you think is going to happen when two starving Wolves are locked in a cage full of prey? There's only one correct answer to this: we are going to feast. Badd Breed will hang in there a long while, to be sure, and they, like us, will outlast you, but they ain't leaving with the titles. NBE is already a primary target alongside you. Templarios are easily beaten, and TMS is going to find themselves part of the feast as well.

*Richlen, meanwhile, has walked over to the walls of Panopticon, and he's already started climbing.*

And the fact is, it's so easy for us to do damage to you and everyone else in here. And the best part is, Krueger, you know it. You know it, Claudel knows it, NBE knows it, they all know it! All of you know that when you push me far enough, I get mean, and when you lock me up I get meaner! And now you got the both of us to worry about, Krueger. When you're leaving without a title, again, I'd like to see you try to call us lesser or forgettable ever again!

I wonder what the best way to dispose of you is. Maybe a double spear through the pods?

*She goes over to one of the pods and starts hitting the glass.*

I don't think this would really take much to break, do you?

Or maybe I climb to the top of the pod and we execute Blood Eagle on the floor?

*She stomps on the floor a few times, obviously to emphasize that it's steel. Not that anyone would think it's made of snow or something.*

Or maybe we use these chain walls to our advantage. I'm sure we can use these as leverage for submissions. Can you imagine if my husband decides to walk up this as he has the Decapitation Ritual locked on you? I can, and it is glorious.

*She walks back into the ring, not noticing that her husband is still on the wall.*

You asked how we can be so sure that we will thrive in this enviroment. There's your answer. We are built for this match and vice versa. We have the determination and the ability to beat every team in this match, especially you. And we're not about to be deterred by your arrogance, NBE's hollow rantings, or anything else. Those belts are coming home, not just to us, but to our Wolfpack. This is going to be the match where after we've finally retired, we'll be telling our children how this was the moment where FIW started to win the war with the Crew, and the moment where our careers took a turn for the better.

You should be happy to have such an important role in the lives of our future children, Krueger.

*Richlen finally gets down off the wall.*

I have one more answer, one that will settle it in our favor once and for all on Saturday.

This.

*And before Shaelin can stop him, he throws a punch at the camera, knocking it down off the cameraman's shoulder.

And everything goes to static as it hits the floor.*

Hikou Seikai, looking a damn sight healthier than he did at breakfast, is chilling out with a protein shake as he catches himself up on the haps in FIW.

The Haps

This isn't supposed to be somewhere where if we don't get a "participation" trophy, we throw a hissy fit.

Something there gives our hero brain freeze. Did she really just say what he thought she said?

Yes She Did

This isn't supposed to be somewhere where if we don't get a "participation" trophy, we throw a hissy fit.

One more time, just to be sure. Surely she didn't.

She Really Did

we throw a hissy fit.

He never gets the chance to watch it through a fourth time because Rin Takeda - the Ninja in Ninja Blood Explosion - lifts his phone out of his hands and flicks the power button.

Clay: “There was once a man who would do the very thing I am about to do and I didn’t like it, I felt it churlish and inevitably would lead to problems but only now do I see the benefit. It’s time to dispel some myths once and for all because I’m tired of repeating myself to the same accusations week in and week out. You’re lying to your fans and most alarmingly, you’re lying to yourselves. I’m not going to tolerate this anymore. Everybody else either doesn’t care about what you say or knows that it’s irrelevant but I’ve had just about enough of you disparaging my character. There a lot of things I do that you can take a shot at. My life is out there and you don’t even need to look hard. I know the things that I have done because I did them. A lot of them I am not proud of. A lot I am.”

Standing next to a television screen with the ability to pause, he loads up the Alpha Wolves latest offering.

Quote:

Speaking of punchlines, Krueger just had to open his mouth and make a fool of himself again. Last time I heard someone lie so damn much, I was watching C-SPAN.

Clay: “I haven’t lied once. Where’s your evidence, where’s your quote? You don’t have one because it never happened. I don’t lie about anything, I don’t need to. I’ve always found that the truth hurts more than a lie, even one you repeat every week as if it were fact.”

Quote:

But really, should anyone be surprised? I mean, we are talking about someone who still thinks he's in 2011.

Clay: “I don’t think it’s 2011. Why would I? I can read a calendar. I have an iPhone that tells me the date. I’m assuming this is a reference to your thought that I wish it was 2011, because that was a real period of success for me. You didn’t know me then. You didn’t know the man I was. Whether I was happy to be that man. All you have to do is ask.”

Oh wait, he's with that bitch I already beat, so we're never going to get any. But guess what that means? We'll just have to beat it out of him. Again.

Clay: “You know that’s a lie. You know that of anybody in this company I give more respect than anybody else. I’ve talked extensively not just here but on social media about Joe Stanton, I was one of the people identified as encouraging Zombie Black to return and if you’d like my opinions on the FIW Champion, I’m happy to provide them. What I’m saying is, I show plenty of respect. I don’t expect respect back, but I also don’t expect to be slandered and accused of giving ‘everyone’ respect. I think we all know that the ‘everyone’ in that scenario, is you. That’s a different conversation and doesn’t have anything to do with the respect I show on a consistent basis for others.”

Clay: “Let’s set this one straight, if there was a sliding scale where you’re entitled to something because of what you’ve done in the past, then yes, you are not entitled to anything. I’ve never asked for a title shot. I’ve never begged or cried. What I am awarded based on my success is for somebody else to determine. That comes from RESPECT and exactly like the ‘everyone’ in the last point, people have different opinion of me than you do. That’s why I live a privileged life in this company, why I have people’s confidence and why they trust me.”

We win our prizes. This isn't supposed to be somewhere where if we don't get a "participation" trophy, we throw a hissy fit. The Crew already is bad enough for that.

Clay: “You know that’s a barefaced lie. You know that when I accused you of laziness it had nothing to do with earning title shots. It had everything to do with you taking those big wins over myself, over Kim Coulter, over Nick Riot, over whoever and having that momentum and doing jack shit with it. You know that, and yet you peddle this propaganda when you know that’s as blatant a lie as anybody says around here.”

Clay: “Shaelin, I strongly urge you to take my tactics on board. I urge you to learn everything you can from me because you will be a better competitor for it. I wouldn’t suggest telling the person you plan to surprise that you’re going to do it, but other than that, you steal whatever you want from me because your need is greater than most.”

Quote:

Clay: “I will always cherish my memories of whatever I’ve done in FIW. I do have those to ‘fall back’ on in later life, that is something that is very dear to my heart and one of the reasons why I continue to have passion for this industry, why I attempt to teach others and show them a better path.”

Clay: “It shows experience, Richlen. Experience of walking in and probably all the more important, walking out and the implications of doing so. I’ve done this preparation before, not my first time. It’s also pertinent then I won a tag team triple jeopardy match. Lots of bodies, lots of teams, tag titles at stake. Experience is important, I wouldn’t underestimate it because it will do me good.”

Clay: “I may need you to enlighten me on this score, who are you referring to? Who has Kim kicked to the curb? Helena left of her own volition… Jack Manson Jr.? I suspect that you believe it was the best thing that ever happened to him. Didn’t end well, though, did it? Since I’ve been here in the Crew, nobody has been kicked out. Much the opposite, we’ve grown stronger. My relationship with Caleb isn’t like yours with your wife, I trust him to make decisions and have thoughts of his own. If he’s not happy being one half of the FIW World Tag Team Champions then there’s not a whole lot I can do about it. How happy were you when you were one half of the FIW World Tag Team Champions?”

Quote:

But then again, you should be an expert on divorces by now.

Clay: “I have been divorced, yes. Once. I suspect that hardly paints me as an expert. I believe Joe Stanton has an annulment on his record, I wouldn’t accuse him of being an expert in that either. My first wife God rest her soul died when my children were very young. I’m thinking you weren’t just looking to elicit emotional pain by that statement but thank you all the same for reminding me. I'd just like to point out that I get along rather well with my ex-wife now. We're both in better places. She's a former Hellcats Champion as it goes...”

Clay: “I’m not aware of this weakness, could you elaborate? And yes, we are trapped in the Panoptican with you. Which is exactly the same as you being trapped in there with us. That’s kind of how that works, Gus. It’s funny you mention opening doors because the way this match works... we might not be in there with each other at all but you know, continue to ignore that for… you know… narrative.”

Clay: “The problem with this is twofold, first of all you should be concerned about the physical toll. I’ve suffered and am carrying far more injuries than I care to admit to. Strategy wise, focus on two other teams if you want but I won’t be doing that. I don’t want to beat just you, I want to beat everybody.”

So let me ask you this, Krueger: what exactly do you think is going to happen when two starving Wolves are locked in a cage full of prey? Clay: “Congratulations, Shaelin. We agree on something. I think you are going to feast… at first. Then I think you’re going to get fat gorging on the meat, then you’ll tire, then you’ll go back to being the complacent Shaelin that we all know and recognise. I think you’re too hungry, I think desperation could be setting in.”

Clay: “Oh, stick around. I’d be happy to oblige. Yes, Gustav, you will cause damage inside a Panoptican. I’d actually be concerned if you thought you weren’t going to. The only issue I take with that is, people fight back. This isn’t all going to go your own way. This is one of those examples where you’re flagrantly unrealistic. Nobody ‘knows’ anything about this match, except those that have been in it. You’ve just watched it, I’ve lived it.”

Quote:

I wonder what the best way to dispose of you is. Maybe a double spear through the pods?

Clay: “Yeah, choose a spear. I’ve won more matches with spears than anybody in FIW history, but yes, a spear is the way to go.”

Quote:

I don't think this would really take much to break, do you? Or maybe I climb to the top of the pod and we execute Blood Eagle on the floor? Or maybe we use these chain walls to our advantage. If that was just a clever way of saying that those are your intentions then… maybe… I’d plot those in my own head. I look forward to seeing the Decapitation Ritual using the chains. I hope Gustav has long limbs because the one thing he won’t do is gain a submission outside the ropes. It does help to know these things, my dear.”

Quote:

You asked how we can be so sure that we will thrive in this enviroment. There's your answer. We are built for this match and vice versa.

Clay: “I hate to be the one to break it to you, but that’s not an answer. That’s a prediction or a hope. Nobody is built for the Panoptican. I do hope you can understand what I’m saying to you. This match will not go well for any of the six teams involved.”

Quote:

Clay: “I’ve been waiting for this. The double standards issue has reared its ugly head. How come when I talk it’s arrogance but when you talk, it’s confidence? What’s the difference? I’d also like to just point out that when you do tell your children, they’ll probably accuse you of living in 2017. Your careers should have taken a turn for the better after Rise of a Legend when I brought you into this fight, but it sounds like it’s time to restart again.”

Quote:

You should be happy to have such an important role in the lives of our future children, Krueger.

Clay: “The moment you find out you are pregnant, please let the office know immediately. They’ll take you off the cards and we won’t need to hear your lies, your repeating statements or your shrill voice anymore. That’ll be a big help to all of us, we’d be delighted for you. It’ll also settle a bet that Hikou and I have. He says Gus is firing blanks, I say that it’s just down to busy schedules and stress. Be good to have that bet settled.”

Quote:

I have one more answer, one that will settle it in our favor once and for all on Saturday. This.

Clay: “Yep, punching a camera always helps. Causing petty damage to FIW property should be high on all our agendas. In terms of intimidating myself, Caleb, Badd Breed, Ninja Blood that is a ten out of ten move. In terms of helping your standing with FIW management, who are already not that high on you anyway so that additional rematch you talked about might not be forthcoming, that is a zero out of ten move.”

Having FINALLY got to end of the tape, Clay allows himself a breath. That was tough. Lots of points, lots of counterpoints, good fun all round.

Clay: “I hope I managed to answer some of the points you raised and set you straight on a few things. Next time, just don’t do it half-assed. Put the work in. Do your homework. Don’t lie to your fans with sweeping statements about my lack of respect for ‘everyone’ and trying to twist my words as to your laziness. My life is on tape, it was in the public eye for the world to see. You find something I’m genuinely ashamed of and I’ll hold up my hands. After all, fair is fair.”
