The scene opens on Joe Stanton, he's standing out in the hallway of some hotel right next to a hotel room. Leaning against the wall, he patiently waits for somebody to come out, softly humming the tune to "Some Kind of Monster" by Metallica to himself. Unfortunately he doesn't get more than a few notes in before The Dream saunters into view, a smile on his face.

"You know, there at very few things in life that are better than soaking in the tub and being able to fit. I mean, Moscow was great, but even Vi would have trouble fitting in their tubs."

The author would like to note that Dream's using Vi to illustrate a point, not imagine her in a tub. He doesn't need Sakura and Big Brother Koji coming after him. It works, because Joe scoffs and stifles a chuckle.

"It'd be easier if you didn't have that army of rubber duckies, and don't even try to say you don't have those."

In jest Joe scolds Dream, he lifts up his finger and points accusingly at Dream when he tells him not to deny it.

"I've seen your luggage."

Jabbing his finger at the other man like he's pinning him for murder, Joe's demeanor suddenly changes into a grin and he drops the finger. Dream playfully swats at the finger and fails to stifle a chuckle.

"To be fair, you gave me three of them. It would be rude to say no."

Dream takes out his phone, scrolling through for all of five seconds before placing his phone back.

"I gotta say, the Afterparty Celebration is gonna feel weird knowing Johnny lost his belt. Bit of of a bummer, you know?"

The good times slow down a little in Joe's step when the topic of Johnny's brought up.
He fights off a frown to the best of his abilities, smiling through it.

"Yeah...it sucks. A rematch between the two of you would've been electric! A proper one on one contest, with the FIW title on the line? That's a blockbuster main event!"

Stanton gets excitable and throws up his arms to display an imaginary marquee at the thought of it. It comes and goes though, and his arms flop back to his sides.

"But you deserve to celebrate this victory, dude. It's huge.
And, John...John needs some time to himself to process and deal. Believe me,
I know."

Nodding, Joe sounds like he's trying to convince himself as much as he's trying to convince Dream.

"Plus we both know he's going to be there when we need him in the main event, we can count on him. He's not the type of person to walk away from this."

Patting Dream on the back, Joe sounds a bit more confident now when assuring him that their friend's going to be alright. Dream ponders this for a moment, a pensive look on his face.

"You know, you're right. Johnny's always been there for us, there's no reason he would be there again. We just have to stay positive and focus on our match."

Dream slowly begins to smile, putting an arm around Joe.

"I mean, we're the Super Best Friends. The Three Amigos! The Three Caballeros! The THREE MAN BAAAAAAAND, BABAY!

Okay maybe not that last one, but you know what I mean. We're inseparable."

The smile softens as Dream remembers Johnny's words on Twitter. Dude's going through a rough time.

"Honestly Joe, he's gonna need us a lot this week. I haven't exactly lost a title, but I know what it's like to lose a main event. And if that's bad, I can't even begin to imagine losing to him in the main event."

Dream's slowly picked up on how to say "him" with the same amount of disgust as the Blank siblings. Plus, it's Stephen Eversol. Pretty easy to say it that way when he's involved.

"I tell you, I can't wait to kick his ass."

Scoffing, Joe pops his eyebrows and nods with understanding.

"And, I can't wait for you to kick his ass either. It's going to be a sight."

The Scarlet Speedster's hand gives Dream a few more pats on the back.

"We get a taste of it this week, and as tempted as I am to batter him some myself, I'll leave him to Johnny and you to share. This Super Best Friend will deal with the other two chuckleheads, letting our new champion deal with the Dream Team. We'll crack some skulls together, do some razzle dazzle and woo some special ladies. But in the mean time..."

Bringing the two of them to a stop, Joe turns slightly so that he can more properly face Dream. A big smile crossing his face and he pats Dream some more. His free hand's fist lifts up to be presented to the Manifestation of Merriment, awaiting a pound.

"We celebrate your win. You earned this."

Joe says with clear pride and joy for what his friend's achieved. Dream smiles wide as he pounds Joe's fist, Joe's enthusiasm too infectious to ignore.

"Well then, let's party!"

Dream takes a moment to adjust his mask before the two friends make their way down the hallway and off on another adventure.
