![]() due to jet lag and massive amounts of caffeine that ran through her veins, she eventually crashed as soon as she hit the bed of her apartment. she kissed caleb's cheek goodbye and ... did she even close the door? she remembered sauntering off to the bedroom but she didn't remember the dismissal of the boy. she groaned, checking her phone as she noticed the time. it had been nine hours and she wasn't so sure she was ready for the communication. her brown eyes quickly closed to shield the light. it was morning? she didn't notice the AM symbol next to the number, damn it. she rolled over, pulling the blankets tighter around her body. she did remember to strip down, thank god. burying her face in the pillow and pulling the blankets over her, trying to disappear for a few. no luck as her stomach reacted, a growling grumble in the pit of her stomach. shit. she got up, stretching in the mirror and moving to the kitchen, her fingers running along the trim of her black bra to adjust the placement. and then her hands moved down her body, slapping her stomach. shit, she was tired. pulling back the fridge door, she scanned the containers. shit...all her stuff was old. skipping to her room, she grabbed her phone once more. her eyes scrolled with her fingers as she pressed on the name. caleb. she sighed, smiling as she opened the message. her stomach grumbling again, bringing her back to earth. " caleb...bring food over. please. i owe you, so place your bargain when you get here." send. Edited by COLIE, Sep 8 2011, 11:39 PM.

Spending weeks in his home city with a beautiful girl by his side was definitely the way that Caleb wanted to spend the end of his summer. He was just lucky that she had agreed to it. He was attempting to be different. Well, rather, he was attempting to let her see who he truly was. He wasn't always this asshole that slept with women and flaunted his conquests as a trophy. That was a persona that he put up because that's what everyone expected of him. The Caleb that Annie had seen while he was at home, in his natural habitat, surrounded by family; that was the real him. If anyone were to see that, he wanted it to be her. He dropped her back off at her place the night before and as soon as he'd gotten home, he passed out. He hadn't even made it to his bedroom, having fallen asleep on the couch in the living room. He was awoken by his phone vibrating in his pocket and he grumbled, picking up his head as he tugged the device from his pocket. His face lit up the moment he saw her name on the screen and he sat up, reading the text. A small laugh left him as he looked at it, shaking his head. He probably should have warned her about that. He got up and made his way to the door, pulling on his shoes and a hoodie. He didn't bother changing; no one else besides her would know he'd worn the same clothes. He made his way to get food for the two of them before going back to her apartment, knocking on the door. |
