Hunter: A Humanoid group of neutral to good bent on hunting the creatures that go bump in the night. How to become a Hunter? To become a Hunter is a bit more challenging then one may assume. It requires your character to, normally, be directly related to one of the original families to start the Hunters. Or, they are taught by another Hunter who is either near death, or a Hunter has found an extremely promising person. Don't get your hopes up, though. Getting trained by a Hunter is hell. What are Hunters? Hunters are a group of humanoids who have banded together to banish the world of all the foul beasts that roam about. Generally, they attack, and kill, only the darkest of the creatures. A few are known to break this rule, killing all creatures non-human without a thought. Ivan Michael Westfall being a prime example. Do not follow his influence. It's quite wrong. The life you should expect to lead as a Hunter Ever wanted to see the world? To travel around and see all the most beautiful places in the world? If so, then being a Hunter is most definitely for you! We've agents in France, Italy, and even Hawaii ! You'll find yourself in some of the most breath taking scenes as you fight for your life against a creature ten times stronger then you(Unless, you, the reader, are actually one of the "Gifted") should sign up today! Let's talk about the health care policies, too! None. Though, we do pay handsomely to our soldiers. And, let's not mention that you'd be constantly training to keep yourself in your physical prime when it comes to fighting the beasties. And not to mention that fear of getting caught by Ignorant as you fight a Shifter. That can be a real problem! As you can expect, Hunter's should not expect to live long, healthy lives if they choose this profession. It's almost a death wish. I mean, have you ever fought a Lycan during the full moon? I lost a rib. Not broke. Lost. Then again, he only wanted a bone to chew on, so did...Sorry, rambling. But, you should all remember, future Hunter's, be safe and always watch, They'll be one step ahead if you aren't. The Weapons of Hunters As a Hunter, you are required to be considered a deadly weapon. Skilled in CQC, handguns, semi-automatic rifles, automatic rifles, bolt action rifles, any firearm you should be able to handle if need be. Knowing how to wield certain bladed weapons is also considered a plus. But, remember, don't try to engage a Lycan, Vampire. Shifter, or Half Demon with CQC. You will be slaughtered, as they are physically stronger. Of course, to our non-human members, do go ahead and try. But remember, don't be stupid. Take off it's head from a mile if you can. No need to risk dying! How it's run The Hunter's tend to have no true central head, outside of the main four families. One representive of each acting as a sort of leader. Each Hunter being assigned a location by one of the four heads. The main families being Westfall, Stone, Barnett, and Turner. Generally, the four figure heads maintain only a loose order. But as of current, they are leading with a strong hand. Meaning, any new Hunter's would be used to being ordered around. The older one's would be somewhat surprised about this new leadership. Westfall Family Head Sevian Westfall(45) Sevian, a 45 year old Hunter. Elder, and his talents are far known, and wide. His skill being considered as the highest ranking Hunter of this generation. His only flaw is that he's a kind man, and generally dislikes to kill. Stone Family Head Franklin M. Stone(39) A somewhat young head. His talents are more of the diplomatic sort. His position as a Hunter is limited, as his skills are soft. But his position inside the U.S. Congress does aid in helping shift the eyes of the public away from any strange actions. A soft spoken, intelligent man. Barnett Family Head Jacob Barnett(40) A fighter, pure and simple. Of Irish roots, he has quite a heavy Irish accent, and looks every bit of the Irish man. He's hot headed, brash, and speaks his mind. His skill as a Hunter is legendary, completing with Sevian in terms of skill. He tends to be open, and more brawn then brain.(So far, the only man known to beat a werewolf in an arm wrestling match.) Nelson Family Head Aaron Turner(44) A man of little words. Unlike the soft spoken Franklin, Aaron generally says nothing. As a Hunter, he is not very skilled outright. But, unlike most, he is Lycan. Turned, and remained on the side of the Hunters. Through the skills he holds, and his Lycan form, he has proved a valuable member of the Hunters. And, his loyalty to the Hunt is noble. Gray Family Head(Lesser family) Lorine Gray(34) Most notably, the only female Hunter head as current. As she is part of the Grey family, she sticks to the hunting of Demons, and Half-Demons and not the rest like the rest of the Guild. Of course, she is skilled in combat , and extremely wise for her age. Perhaps the youngest Head, then again, the Gray's were known for young leaders. These are the current heads, and should a Hunter meet them, he'd better be licking some boots. These are the people whom they are meant to serve loyally as Hunters. Outside of these families, few "Hunters" exist. I'm sure a few do, but they are not part of our organization. Now, some details about each family... Westfall. The first family. The name Westfall is known throughout the major names of all non-humans. Brutal, efficient killers for centuries. Famed, hated, feared, loved. It all depended on how you looked at them. Their family is heavily rooted into the life of Hunter's, low tolerance for anyone of them not taking up the mantle. One Westfall went as far as to kill his own sons wife to prove that once he has shed the care for the Westfall name, he has no right to live. This is to be taken note, any potential Westfall children. You will be raised as royalty. Your main location is American. Located around central parts of the U.S. Key Figures: Sevian Westfall Thorne Westfall Ivan Westfall Stone. The wise family. Another well known name is that of Stone. Many of these Hunter's have made their name known in politics opposed to outright combat. Intelligence, or unique traits, being common in there blood. It's is unknown to how exactly the Stone's and Westfall's crossed paths, and merged, but these are the two eldest families of the Hunters. The main location of a Stone hunter tends to be major politic cities where they would be most effective. But, that is the politics. The true Stone Hunters are normally found in western Europe. Ranging from Italy, to Germany. If one becomes a Stone, expect to be a bit brainy or a soft speaking person. One doesn't have to be, but it is normally how they are Key Figures: Franklin M. Stone Frederico Stone(Yes, he's Italian.) Damien Stone Barnett. The strong family. Barnett's are not as well known worldwide, but in Ireland, they are strongly known. Strong, powerful, and skilled are most Barnett Hunter's. They tend to be built, and designed for combat. Heavily Irish, and damn proud of it. That's the jist. They have only Ireland as their main area. Key Figures: Jacob Barnett Ivory Barnett Turner. The empty family. ...Well, they're very enclosed. They have no designated area of home base, as they are very focused on wondering, split apart. Similar to the Westfall in that they are very strict about members becoming Hunter's. Many cases of missing Turner's have appeared through their existence within the Guild. Many of them stick to the shadows, and quiet life. A notable fact: The Turners support the killing of all creatures. And this is why there is a limited amount of them. So, ask permission when creating a Turner. They're...very limited. Key Figures: Aaron Turner Wes Turner Cody Turner Gray. The exorcists clan. ...PM Cyril Gray for more information. Do not create a Gray without his permission. Key Figures Lorine Gray A general history. In the year of 860 A.D. a man in Europe had been poor his entire life. No longer would he tolerate such unfairness. In his rush to become a wealthy man, he decided to become a "Demon Hunter". He was but an actor, and played his role well. Never did he fight a true Demon, or any of the like. This man's name was William Westfall. A liar, and a cheat. But, he climbed his way to money in ten years time. 880 A.D. William had moved to France, escaping his home in what would be the British Isles. His trip was long, and challenging. But he had made it. He was wealthy, and could afford the finer things in life. He had only left due to his actions as a Demon Hunter being questioned. And, at that, he decided to collect his goods and leave. Once in France, he decided to drop the facade, and live as an honest business man. His fellows who played along in the fact joining him. A fine shipping company did they run. Among the group of actors that had followed William, the name Stone first appeared. 900 A.D. William had faded into the cold hands of death, the company being ran by his eldest son, Louis Westfall. The business continued to grow, becoming more profitable under the expert eyes of Louis. The various people whom joined William let their sons, and daughters, work in the Westfall Trading company. All was well, life had been grand. No one could truly complain. Until...Louis began to notice...Odd things happening around him. Strange disappearances, and deaths. People of odd dispositions, strangely pale for a man whom supposedly worked in fields all day. Not to mention, a man would walk into an alley, and an animal would come out. Clothes left in the alley. This continued for a number of years, Louis never said a word to anyone but his son, whom was young and loved his father dearly. 930 A.D. Louis had died, and a Stone had taken up the family ownership of the company, which had still remained to stand strong against the woes of time. And, at this point, Edward Westfall, son of Louis, had first became what his grandfather before him had been. A Demon Hunter. But, unlike William, Edward killed the true creatures. He did not play around, and fight the actors. He hunted the beasts, He was considered a lunatic, and all but removed from his family. But, he knew what he had saw, and had been killing. He kept a journal with him of the various creatures he encountered, making recordings. He had not yet decided on names. He simply referred to the various beasts with such names as "Cold Ones" and "Shifters(Which lasted to this day, a tribute to our patron and true Hunter beginnings)" 960 A.D. Edward had grown old, now in his early sixties. He was far older then many people at this day and age, and had to do what any man could. He selected a person he trusted most to inherit his journal, and his talents. An Irish man by the name of Horus Barnett, his son, William Westfall II, and a strange man his son had befriended by the name of Laurent Stone. He taught them all of what he knew, dying only three years later. This, is how the three main families had met. This, the last words of Edward, was how the Demon Hunters had become simply known as "Hunters". 1100 A.D. Years had passed, and the three original Hunters had gone and died out, spreading throughout a growing Europe. They had taken to the backgrounds of society, allowing the people who knew nothing to maintain the business where they collected money for their projects. The Westfall Trading Company had grown, and spread, with now three different locations. France, England, and Italy. All was well. Except that only seven Hunters still existed at this point. Two in France, three in England, and one in Italy. Westfall's had taken to the English life, becoming elitists, believing that as they were part of the select few to know, they were better. The Barnett's had remained as they were, and stayed in France. While the Stones had moved to Italy. They continued their work, nothing of note had been stated yet. 1500 A.D. Four centuries since the separation of the original families, Hunters had grown. Now well over one hundred existed. A new family joining the ranks during this time, known as the Turner's. A very quiet, serene group of people. They killed all foul creatures, and it was at this time, that the Families decided to form a system that would allow them to remain in contact, and stay in a sort of leadership. The four family heads were formed. Henry Westfall, Johnathan Stone, Valice Barnett, and Kain Turner. The four heads, each holding power over the rest of the Hunters. And, it was here, that every family now had the right to know. And the heads were to teach every family member what they knew. And, to tell new members at the age of sixteen. 1740 A.D. The company that the Westfall's owned had still survived, living long and profitable thanks to underhanded business by the Hunters. They needed their funding from this business. Now, each various form of Hunters had chosen certain areas to remain located. But, each family would still send out different members to the various locales of the world to slay the various creatures. Near this time, the head of the Stone family proposed a set of rules. And they were passed as such. 1. Do not harm the Innocent in your conflicts. They are our sheep to the foul beasts, we are the Shepard. We are to protect. 2. Allow any into our glorious Hunter society. No longer shall we be but a select Family. All of talent may join our guild. 3. Hunt only the wicked. Many cases killing of innocent Creatures has been reported, let it be no more. Slay only the wicked. 4. Train only one Hunter in your life. Do not train two. Only the Head of your family can allow you to train two people. Present day. Not much as changed from the past. New leaders with stricter powers over the families is all. All is as it has been. None can be certain what new events will unfold throughout this guild. Welcome, young Hunter, to the path that dooms us all to Hell. Current Player Hunters Ivan M.
