Check back in the topic, Jody. There have been a few Elvis songs put on here. This is a fantastic thread and I'd like to personally thank Aitch for taking the time in putting on these old songs on here. Nostalgia over-load from me. |

Aw, try to make time if you can lass. This music is from a time long before you were even thought about, and it's smashing stuff. You're probably too young to appreciate it really, like Aitch and I are probably too old to appreciate the modern music which you may enjoy, but give it a go at least. |

I quite like older music. After all, i lived with my grandparents for 14 years and they are now in their late 60's, so it is their type of music and i always listened to it. I'll bet i know quite alot of the songs. |

Ah, it's lovely stuff from the 50s Jody, but then as we come into the 60s, things do get different. Listen and learn how music changes. This thread is a sort of history of how music changed a lot of the way people lived their lives. Music is so important as you'll know yourself as a singer! |

today's 4, and for anyone who hasn't seen this thread before, I have now included the first 3 at the start of the posts, back to these , this was the top for 4 weeks from the 8th Sept 1959 then this hope this is a sign of our weather picking up, just 1 week Oct 6th1959 and another of my favourite songs of that era, 2 weeks from Oct 13th 1959 and the lad again, the 92nd number 1, the start of the Brits inroads into the charts , this did 5 weeks at the top from Oct 27th 1959 a lot of these records I still have either as a 45, or on an album, still good to hear.
