Tuesdays batch starts off with this, 2 weeks for the Dave Clark 5 Jan 14th 1964

number 162 of the countdown was recorded by this group, it did 3 weeks in the number 1 spot

This knocked the searcher off top, but this only lasted 1 week, but they had more to come

and then the ladies started to make an appearance, feb 25th for 3weeks .

Number 165, March 17th for 2 weeks, another newbie, they are now coming thick and fast,

enjoy a dismal tuesday night, with these livener uppers.

Back to the beatles with number 166, this hit the top for 3 weeks from the31st of March

and then April 21st for 2 weeks, this was a complete change

May 5th again for 2 weeks was this, the record companies are really churning out the discs now

this lasted just a week May 19th 1964

Number 170 of my top British records, this lasted for 4 weeks from Miss Priscilla White AKA Cilla Black May 26th 1964

the next couple of weeks will see a big change in styles and artistes as more on the scene, enjoy

today, is when a few more of the 60s crowd start appearing in the charts, number 171, 2 weeks June 13th 1964

this only did I week but was the start of a legend, first heard it on holiday in Torquay with my wife to be, as well as my parents

This one as well only did 1 week, but they are still around, albeit a bit more wrinkly, than they were before

then the lads back again, 3 weeks at number 1 July 21st,

Number 175 of 1000, this also was a new group August 11th 1964 for 2 weeks

/dance -dance- , tempo is now heating up, next 5 features another 4 new artistes.

I'm most certainly going to thorough enjoy listening to all those tonight. It really was a brilliant era - the 60s - and I'm so glad I was part of it.
