Love them, Aitch. The music of the 60s will live on a lot longer than a lot of the garbage which is churned out today, and so many artists will be remembered as well. :nod:

Here we go again the next 5, to start the long weekend off, 2 weeks april 11th 1967, for this father and daughter

then 3 weeks for the barefoot lady of pop, april 25th

May 16th 1967, this also did 3 weeks for this group

June 6th for 6 weeks for this group, get a look at the fashions of the days, flower power at its start.

Number 235 from these chaps again, 3 weeks from July 18th 1967

/dance Here is your 5 for today, the start of the flower power generation ,this one was the british number 1 for 4 weeks from the 8th aug 1967

this did 5 weeks from the 5th sept

October 10th for 4 weeks

2 weeks for this another new one 7th nov

the 240th British number one was by this man 2 weeks from the 21st nov

hope they set a good tone for the weekend for you all, enjoy them

I'm listening to the last two sets of songs. Couldn't abide Long John Baldry or Englebert, but the rest are brilliant. Most especially, I like White Shade of Pale by Procol Harum. That went to number 1 three times over several years. I've still got the original made in the 60s though. :thumbs:

Just listening to the foundations, i love that song :E no i was never a Englebert fan it has to be said, loving the rest as well Aitch thank you so much for giving us our 5 a day :E

Well, after giving this thread a rest for a couple of weeks, heres your next 5, number 241 of the british chart singles is this one from the lads
7 weeks this one stayed on the top spot dec 5th 1967

this one only lasted 1 week

2 weeks for this from jan 30th 1968

this did 2 weeks from the 13th feb

number 250, this did 3 weeks at the top, from the 27th of feb 1968, weird !!!
