Here's the 5 to bring up the 250, first is this one, March 19th 1968 for 1 week (get the compere) :angel: this one lasted for 2 weeks, I quite liked this one at the time 2 weeks for this as well, April 9th England's Eurovision song contest winner This lasted for 4 weeks a young looking satchmo, April 23rd lastly quarter way through these hits number 250, 4 weeks for this as well may 21st 1968. the weekend starts here, enjoy these as an appetiser. :thumbs: :popcorn: |

Blue! :E It's called Xandadu and yes, it was recorded by Olivia Newton-John and ELO, but that was in the 70s, not the 50s or 60s. Glad you posted in here though. Aitch hasn't put any of the oldies on for a while, but I guess he's been busy with other stuff. :thumbs: |

They did indeed Loki and I liked their verson. I was replying to Blue's question about it being in the 70s. In fact, I've still got the LP Xanadu. Not listened to it in over 30 years though! Will have a listen to that now. :E |

I may try to put some more hits on, at present not having much luck trying again, if this works its the 251st british hit and did 2 weeks from the 18th of June 1968 this was number one in the british charts for 3 weeks from the2nd july 1968 this did 1 week from 23rd July July 30th 1968 for 2 weeks number 255, august 13th just one week well its been a while, but if you still want to carry on let me know, good listening Edited by aitch, Jul 8 2011, 10:01 PM.

number 256 just a week, from the 27th august 1968 this is the next, never liked um misel, but each to their own 1 week for this 2 weeks for the lads again this one was the top for 6 weeks from sept 24th 1968 just a week for this, the hits were coming thick and fast, not many lasted more than a week thats your lot for tonight I hope you enjoy them especially the younger people on here, see what we got up to in the 60s :angel: Edited by aitch, Jul 9 2011, 10:57 PM.
