one of my favourite radio stations is Classic fm, I could listen to that sort of music all day, but likewise I listen to country and western and all r and b and rock and roll, but not, this so called hip hop and what now goes for modern music, bring back the oldies. |

Me too, Aitch. I like songs that you can understand what they're saying and the meaning of the song as well. Some modern stuff leaves me trying to analyse them. |

Oh Aitch. I cannot begin to tell you what Oh Mein Papa means to me. My dad had a 78 of Eddie Calvert playing that on his golden trumpet, but at some point words were put to the music: Oh my papa To me he was so wonderful Oh my papa To me he was so good All of the day, he used to sit me on his knee Then with a smile, he'd turn my tears to laughter ...... My daddy was the best daddy anybody could have had, and he used to play this for me on his piano accordian and sing it to me as well, when I was a very little girl. Then, 45 or so years later, Gordon learned how to play that as a solo on his keyboard. Tears rolling down eyes now, so shurrup Moll. :) |
