I love places like that. Have any of the Wigan contingent on here ever been to Th'Owd Barn up Burscough way? That's got lots of curiosities in it as well, but I'd like to see more of the way people lived. Anybody got a photo of an old Yorkshire Range? :) |

Thats true enough. It reminded me of when I was a kid, and one of the treats was putting a bit of bread on a toasting fork, and toasting it in front of a coal fire. :thumbs: |

We had a yorkshire range like that, and did'nt we feeel posh when we got our bungalow range, it was a cream marble and looked lovely. |

Thanks for the photo, Charlie. That was exactly like my grandma's. My other gran's was also cream, like Kathleen said. Didn't need black-leading. :E |
