my great anuty use to have one of those even back in the 1980s
her cottage was realy old and she had no hot water in there
and a outside shed for the bathroom they didnt have a bath
and the floors were just flag stones
was up moss house lane wrightington on the corrner
was neat in there :)

Is on the car wash, they squeeze their chamois leathers through it to clean it.

I used to use all them Aitch, when I first got married, I didnt get a electric washing machine till after I had my third child.
then you would probably have these as well Kathleen ?

My Grandma had one of those irons with the bird on the front, but if i remember rightly it was made out of brass

i have one of these in my bedroom at home, it doesn't have the top bit of it but it does have the bottom bit, next time i am at home i will take a photo and post it on here
