I was wondering if someone would help me out, I have a problem when I try and use Google it just sends me to unrelated sites I have been trying to find out which is the best contact lense solution is the best to use, and tried to search reviews but it wont work There are two types of all in one solution one is rub and the other in no rub, they try and sell you the most expensive but that's not always the best If anyone could have a quick look for me for any links I can click on I would be very grateful |

Pam, I very strongly advise you to ask your optician about this. Your lenses are probably gas permeable, but there are many different types of cleaning solutions. Don't buy the wrong sort otherwise your lenses could be destroyed. Ask the optician that made them for you. P.S: Google is crap search engine! |

i did ask the optician she said it was up to me but the one that cam with the monthly contacts is the most expensive which it typical i have ordered some every day contacts to try which you just throw away after one day, so if there ok i wont have to worry about all the differant solutions |

My stars, how times have changed since I had mine. I had two bottles of solutions which I had to use - one to clean, and one to soak. I wouldn't like to advise you on this I'm afraid. :happyno: |

It probably really is best to speak to the optician but here is a link for a few recommendations. Hope you find one to suit you best http://m.ciao.co.uk/Boots_Daily_Soft_Contact_Lense_Cleaner__7917097 |

Pam sent me to Boots, along with several other chemists in our area to get some advise, and i was surprised how many options contact user had, the prices can range from £2 a month to £14 a month |

I can't honestly believe that Pam's optician said it was up to her. There are so many different kinds and for those specific contacts, there has to be specific solutions. I may be a bit behind the times, but I'm sure that not all solutions are good for all contact lenses. Anyway, as I said, this is out of my knowledge, so I'd hate to advise. :sadno: |

Rub or no rub solution? Never heard of that and I've worn lenses for over 10 years. Is this for hard lenses? Mine are monthly disposables which are delivered to the door with a multipurpose solution. |

No squeezy its for soft lenses here is one of the no rub ones OPTI-FREE EXPRESS Contact Lens Solution you know how you have to rub them after use abd then leave to soak until the next day, with the no rub ones you dont have to do anything and its supposed to be better as the lenses are cleaner and like new, with no build up at all its all new to me so i am just trying to find out whats the best all in one solution i have monthly disposables, and i have aldo sent for some dailies to see how i get on. some of the solutions are very expensive, i dont mind paying after all its your eye sight, but i think some of them are just a rip off |

I used to have to use two bottles, Pam. One was for rubbing them once they've been taken out, then another solution to soak them in little pots. The solutions were expensive then, and probably more so now but, like you say, it's your eyesight that's important. Can't help on this modern stuff though I'm afraid. :) |
