That must be really painful, Jody. Mine happened to me on a Saturday night so by the time I went to A&E on the Monday, the claw marks were starting to crust over, but were still painful. There had been blood everywhere so there was nothing they could actually do for the scars. I did have to have a new ATS though as mine had run out. It had been over 10 years since my last one. How time flies! When I was a little girl, I spotted a poor little kitten walking around. It's neck was obviously twisted or broken so I took pity on it and built it a little brick den at the back of our house. I was only about 10 then, and I fed it and everything. Anyway, one day I tried to pick him up and he bit my middle finger on the left hand. It ballooned right up with pus so my mum took me to the doctor who gave me an antii-tetanus and drained the pus from my finger. Poor little bugger wandered off after that and I never saw him again. |

Blimey Jody, you were very lucky for it not to have done that to your eyeball. I hope you're not in too much pain now, but I seriously think you should make a complaint to the police about that cat, especially because it's also attacked a child. :( |

Definitely report that cat lass. This is no different from a dog attack, except to say a dog can do a lot more damage, even kill, but that cat could at some point attack a baby. Please report it before it does more harm. I gave Billie the benefit of the doubt, and he's come good because he's in a good home now where he knows he's cared for, but I still don't trust him 100%. :( |

i hope you do report it Jody, this cat is pure evil, and people are to ready to blame dogs, but a cat, if it is big enough can be as bad if not worse than a dog of the same size, i know from first hand how wild and evil a cat can be. I always used to be a cat person, and most of my life i have had cats, now i have dogs (poodles) who are on another level :D but now i would have a dog any day |

I got my mum take a photo of the inside of my eyelid where the cat has scratched it...it's a total mess to be honest. Grrr. Bloody cat. I have never really been a cat person...apart from my cat i had years ago. This is the reason why. The scratches on my hand are infected now. :( |

I have to agree with Pam when she says an attack by a cat can be equally as vicious as that of a dog of the same size, more so in fact. I still think you should report that cat to the Police. It may not be the cat's fault that it does what it does, but if it's full grown and not being a playful kitten, then there's little hope for it. I would have reported Billie had I known where his original home was, but I didn't know. Put it this way Jody, if that cat attacked Reece, wouldn't you report it to the Police? |
