I'm just having a glass or 10 of a fairly cheap little white number. I never start on alcohol before 9 p.m. - never have, even when I've been on holiday. There's no way I could sup any sort of booze before the sun's over the yardarm! :D |

Mead? Blimey Blue, is it the real stuff? It's like rocket fuel that! :E I went to a Medieval Banquet years ago and they were serving mead at table. It was quite thick, and extremely alcoholic! I think I only had about three glasses and my hubby had to carry me to the car and stuff me onto the back seat as I was hard and fast asleep.  |

I'm not surprised Blue, if it was real mead.  Pam! He's been doing all that hard work and all you'll let him have is a ginger beer? Give him a shout for me: "Alan, get some ale down ya lad. Ya deserves it." Has he heard me? :E |

My favourite tipple Pam some years ago we had a shop in Scholes the area I live in near Wigan town centre and the chap who owned it used to serve drought Ginger Beer along with Hops Bitter. I think the shop was called Barton's Chemist It was the old threepence for a pint but by ye gods it was good. :snicker: |
