Loki, you are incorrigible.

The bottled Pils isn't a patch on draught. I don't know if you know this or not, but in Germany they don't have pubs as we know them. There are no licensing laws and they serve until the last person falls off his chair or stool.

My first experience was in 1972 just after I'd got married and my husband and I walked to Heidi's. My husband said it was only about a mile, but after four miles we finally got there. Anyway, we had a gorgeous meal and some Warsteiner Pilsner. We had no car at the time but, when it was time to go Heidi told Franz to drive us back home. That was my first taste of German beer, and bluddy good it was too. /dance

Have the ingredients, so might make myself a 'Black Russian' cocktail (Vodka, Tia Maria, & Coke (the drinking kind) over ice in a tall glass - delicious!!!

The Sister-in-law likes Pernod with Coke and one of the Daughters likes Jack Daniels with Coke the other Daughter likes Wine. One of my Uncles loved Brandy with dry Ginger.

I can't even stand the smell of whisky (Scotch) but I don't mind Irish Whiskey with lemonade. There's Bush Mills and Black Bush, and Black Bush is the more expensive. I only ever tried it when I lived in Londonderry and, like Loki, I don't drink spirits either. :D
