Did you try the Lindisfarne mead whilst you were there Blue? It is potent stuff! We have a few Lithuanians at my work and they often bring me a bottle of mead from Lithuania... some of it is 90%!!! :O I was working last night, but I have a bottle of Lyme Bay Elderflower wine for tonight. If I am not drinking beer I only really like country wines... plum, peach, pear... etc. I am not a lover of the grape. I do however like Liebfraumilch and Hock. |

Yes Cadfael I like the German white wines best. That's if I order a wine which is very rare [/b] |

Pam darlin' - there is a better one than Liebfraumilch, its icewein - made from grapes that aren't harvested until late October or November - hence the name because they're covered in frost and ice. Lovely wine!!! |

The Black Tower is excellent. Having lived in Germany that's all we drank in the alcohol department. I love Liebfraumilch as well. Any good wine shop will sell it, even ASDA I think, although I've never looked. I cannot abide French wine though. It all tastes like vinegar to me. |
