Not seen it yet Scorp its Ant and Dec's new game show is it not.

I think it was on the radio this morning that one contestant who won on the show was to have his winnings stopped because the producers of the show have been told the contestant who won had a criminal record.
Why shouldn't he be allowed the money though? Ok he did the crime but did his time why should it all be dragged up again?

Mr criminal goes to shop buys a lottery ticket wins a tenner = keeps it
Mr ex criminal goes on game show and wins a million = kicks up a fuss.

I think they have to sign some sort of contract Scorpion, and there's a clause about convicted people not being allowed to take part, he must have lied and got found out.

As Charlie said, they do have to sign a contract to state that they have no previous convictions. That's standard on game shows and quiz shows. Remember Major Charles Ingram on Who Wants to be a Millionaire. They cheated throughout that programme because he was as thick as two short planks. The money was taken back off him after it was found out that cheating had happened.

I know it's not quite the same, but there have been a few contestants on shows that were not allowed the money after being found to have criminal records, or were found to have cheated in some way.

Fair comment. I haven't watched it, but I think I may take a peek so that I can comment fairly.
