How many people on here would be prepared to go on a holiday with a person of the opposite sex. and share a room with twin beds, knowing that it would only cost half as much as a single room, (but no smutty remarks please,) this is a serious question, I is thinking ahead.

I'd be very happy to, provided I knew the person beforehand and it wasn't a complete stranger.

It sounds very sensible. Their nothing wrong in sharing a room with a friend of the opposite sex. As long as you get on well together. I for one cannot see a problem.

How this all started was through a friend of mine and his wife wanting to go on a Scottish holiday, so I got them interested on a trip to Fort William with Shearings, they wanted me to go with them, so I tried to arrange a single room, no joy, I could have a double room for double the price, and presumably double the meals, but no way would they concede they had space, I followed the seating on the coach by looking on the web, and even when my friends went, there was still room, I am not sure, but I think the Caledonian Hotel they went to is a Shearings hotel, so that may be why they wouldnt budge on price, still, in my mind, not really a way to do business :sadno:

The Caledonian is owned by Shearings Aitch, when we went there were a few empty seats on our coach, but there is more than one coach goes, and the hotel was full, there were people in single rooms on our coach, but I don't know how much they paid.
I will make some enquiries, but I know they booked well in advance.
