Scrap metal dealer, pays £21,000 to repair memorial. Which has, had the brass plaque with 243 service men, from WW1 names on.
He had new stone plaques engraved with the solders names on.

He done this to show not all metal dealers are bad people. He said how ashamed he is of some metal dealers, who buy stolen metal.

Its reported that metal theft cost the country £1billion a year.

This happened a our local cemetery. They stole the brass plaques from the remembrance garden. They were caught and put in prison. I think they should have thrown the key away. (disgusting people)

There's a lot of them about blue. And then there's the ones who vandalise and desecrate war memorials for no personal gain, but just because they can. I know what I'd do with them, scumbags.

These people have no respect, for the solders who fought for this country.

If they could come back and see what goes on these days. I wonder if they would have given their life's up, so quickly. :(
