A female bank robber in the US had claimed that she stole in order to afford new dentures. The toothless 49-year-old was arrested after holding up a bank in Waynesburg, Pennsylvania, according to the Observer-Reporter. "During her confession, she stated she wanted to use the money to pay for dentures she was unable to get through welfare until next year," a member of the local police force revealed. The unnamed woman is believed to have carried out the crime by handing over a note to cashiers asking for a specific amount of cash. She allegedly also claimed to be armed and warned tellers not to call police. However, she was caught after another bank worker reportedly recognised her from church and alerted the authorities. |
