2nd

The police arrive in the village to ask Cain more questions about the garage fire, now suspecting that it could have been an insurance job. Once the police have left, Debbie stresses that the garage has been deliberately targeted and is worried about their safety. Cain is then forced to tell a shocked Debbie and Cameron the truth. Debbie is seething and heads straight to see Adam, warning that if the police ask her directly, she will reveal his guilt.

Later, Adam is determined to turn himself in, so Holly tries to cause a delay by offering to drive him to the police station. Holly then discreetly contacts Aaron, who quickly arrives to talk Adam out of it - adamant that he needs to be around to look after his family. Adam agrees, but panics when the police arrive. Taking matters into his own hands, Aaron heads out to greet the officers, telling them that he was the one who torched the garage…

Meanwhile, it's the day of Jacob's party and David is dreading it. As David makes preparations, Rachel is amused by his lack of enthusiasm. With the party in full swing, David attempts to control the kids and is surprised when Alicia compliments him. Rachel watches him enjoying himself and tries to be casual as she asks Alicia why he's single. After the party, David and Rachel enjoy a couple of drinks together as Alicia heads to the pub.

Elsewhere, Amy is frustrated by Brenda's interference at work

Aaron is questioned by the police at the station and they warn him about the severity of the situation. However, Fletcher seems suspicious of Aaron's story. At the same time, Adam is unaware of what Aaron is up to until Holly lets it slip. After being released, Aaron visits Adam, telling him to stick to the story. However, Adam is torn and Aaron worries that he won't go along with it.

Later, Aaron explains what he's done to Debbie and Cain. They're stunned that he is protecting Adam, but Cain agrees to go along with it. Cameron suggests telling Chas, but Debbie insists that it isn't their problem and to leave it alone. Soon afterwards, Aaron meets Adam at The Woolpack and tries to convince him that everything will be alright - he has a plan…

Meanwhile, Alicia is annoyed to come home to find Rachel on the sofa and the house still a mess after the party. Rachel winds Alicia up and the girls start to bicker. Later, Alicia asks David about Rachel, wanting to know whether he's going to start something up with her. Alicia's relieved when David insists that he and Rachel are just friends. Is Alicia hiding feelings for David?

Elsewhere, Amy is all smiles with Brenda, wanting her to cover a shift at the B&B

Aaron makes a phone call to Ed, before telling Chas that he torched the garage and he's already confessed to the police. Chas is angry, but becomes confused by his calmness and determination when Aaron asks her to trust him. Over at the farm, the police question Adam about Aaron's confession, while Cameron is torn as he still wants to tell Chas the truth.

Later, Chas begs Adam to tell her why Aaron would have started the fire, but Adam sees Moira plead with him and he lies to Chas. At the same time, Aaron is in the café as Ed turns up to see him following his call. After his meeting with Ed, Aaron tells Adam that he's got to trust him and not speak to anyone before tomorrow when he is due in court…

Meanwhile, Pollard reprimands Amy for craftily getting Brenda to cover her shift. However, Brenda is naïve to Amy's antics and tells Pollard how well they're getting on at the moment. Later, Brenda is delighted when Pollard offers to cook her dinner, as with no guests at the B&B they can have a lovely evening together. As the pair enjoy themselves, Pollard surprises Brenda by kissing her.

Elsewhere, Alicia and Rachel bicker as they both insist they don't fancy David, while Ali is stressed as Ruby nags at her about speaking to Dan about the divorce

5th

Dressed in his suit on his day in court, Aaron visits Chas at The Woolpack and tells her that it would be best if she stayed at home. However, Chas knows something is amiss and decides to go. Cameron offers to attend court with her, but Cain doesn't trust him not to say anything stupid, so insists he will go along too. They're ready to leave for court when an unimpressed Edna tells Chas that she cleared up cans from Jackson's grave, assuming it was Aaron.

Later, everyone waits at the court, but there's no sign of Aaron as the usher calls him. Chas panics and tries to phone Aaron, refusing to give up hope on him. When she struggles to get hold of both Aaron and Adam, Chas is horrified to discover that there's now a warrant out for her son's arrest. Does Aaron make it to court in time?

Meanwhile, Brenda is furtive as she leaves Eric's house, having spent the night with him. She bumps into Nikhil, who guesses what she's been up to. He soon tells Gennie, who's shocked by what her mum has done. Later, Brenda is ashamed when Gennie tells her that she knows about her night with Pollard. Brenda realises that she left her coat there and will have to return to face Pollard sometime.

Elsewhere, Ali tells Sean that she can't read and has been pretending all these years. She's hurt by Sean's reaction.

Adam contemplates losing his best friend as Paddy struggles to stay strong. Chas is reduced to tears as she is forced to say goodbye to her son in heartbreaking circumstances.

Does Aaron face a future behind bars, or will he escape court and go on the run?

Meanwhile, Brenda calls round to Pollard's to collect her coat and offers to help clean the B&B. David gives his dad a disapproving look, knowing what he's been up to. However, Pollard ushers David out as he enjoys a drink with Brenda. After coming downstairs, Brenda suggests a drink at The Woolpack, but Pollard wants to keep things quiet. Brenda agrees that keeping it a secret might be fun.

Elsewhere, a guilty Sean offers to help Ali learn to read.

Cameron tries to support Chas and tells her that he's there for her. Soon afterwards, Chas is wound up by Rachel as she makes jibes about Aaron and Lisa steps in, steering Chas into the back.

Later, Cameron apologises to Chas for the situation, but she tells him that he's the only one who got it right. They both realise the chemistry between them and Chas makes her feelings clear.

Meanwhile, Jai declines to invest in the festival, so Declan warns Megan to leave the investment to him from now on. He later visits Jai, telling him that he's a good friend for turning down the investment - admitting that he needed to put Megan in her place.

Elsewhere, Lisa tells Zak to visit Chas and is disappointed when he fails to speak to her, while Rachel feels disappointed for Sean when Ali refuses his help learning to read.
