Well, umm, here’s the thing. FCOM is being closed. Yeah. Seriously. I’ve been thinking about it for a long while. It’s just time to close up shop. Err, again. I just can’t keep it active for a long while, and by the time I’d come back it’d probably be too late to really save it. Real life sucks, huh? I apologize immensely to the members and staff here. I know a lot of you put a lot of effort and time into the forum, you know who you are. Thank you for what you did for the forum, even if you did abandon it at some point. I kinda regret not getting to the one year mark. My lack of planning, and at times, devotion, was the reason the forum failed. I should’ve known that around this point of life I would start getting busier. And from past experiences, I should know that a forum not well-established kinda dies when it’s admin disappears. (And I’m not just talking about Wuzhou, I’ve been a part of quite a few forums which die for the very same reason.) But… I’m persistent. Chances are I’m going to try one more time at some point. But I have a feeling it won’t be anytime soon. And I mean we’re looking at a more distant future then just about 3 months. Though I’m somewhat doubting that very many of you are willing to follow me on second, or for quite a few, third attempt at a forum, which I wouldn’t blame you for. If you wish to keep in contact with me, shoot me an e-mail at xuanzhongda@aol.com, or volpe11@live.com. Or if you happen to go on KW (which I know a grand majority of you do) shoot me a PM there. Or any other forum you happen to see me at. And if you’re going to send me an e-mail solely to try to dissuade me, you’re welcome to try, but I doubt you’ll have much success. There’s also one person I would really like to recognize while I’m still typing this up. Minako/Sithis. She really poured a lot into this place. Like, a lot. It wouldn’t have gotten nearly as far as it did without her. Quite possibly one of the most devoted people I’ve worked with as part of a forum’s moderation or administration team. At least I saw it as so. While most the same can be said about many others like FD, King Drizzle, Tempest, and such, and I really do wish to list them all, I’m just so… lazy. It was a really fun run, even through the bad times, and I admit I made a few mistakes as an admin, it was still really great. Again, thanks to everybody. I’d like to issue an apology to Wen Hu. Yes, seriously. I kept you suspended for far too long, me have things to deal with is hardly an excuse for neglecting to unsuspend you, even if you did say some less than appealing things in the chatbox, or so I been told. I could’ve gone on for a moment to unsuspend you. Sorry. Also, sorry to the staff for not consulting you about my decision to closing the forum. That was rather unprofessional and rude of me. And lastly, I’d also like to issue an apology to Lei Fang as well. Although I still just can’t agree about how you interpreted an incident here at FCOM, I should’ve tried to understand how you were feeling about it. I’m sorry. Well, that’s it. I do wish to keep in contact with all of you guys, you’re all great; I’ll probably see you around at some place or another. That was a bit melodramatic, wasn’t it…?
