Thank you for using my idea, Chipster; I'm really excited ![]() However, this is intense. We have only one vote to get this right. Thus, it's REALLY important that we think this through long and hard before settling on someone. |

It was silent. Well, mostly silent, apart from the soft breeze and the occasional bird. But there was another sound, gradually becoming louder. Suddenly, the train rushed by, and as soon as it had arrived, it was already gone, continuing its journey. The last wagon of the train was the baggage car. The second to last was a passenger car, and was almost empty: only six people were inside. The passengers were all friends from a well-known Internet forum, who after months of planning had finally managed to organize a real life meeting. Unfortunately, the other active members of the forum were busy in real life and therefore unable to attend. On one bench, Bright Side and Chibiscuit were having a discussion about philosophy. Further away, Crackers and Soren were discussing their musical tastes, while Vesper was showing Chipster some of his recent photographs. After a while, Chibiscuit expressed a need to go to the lavatory. -"Does anyone else need to go before me?" she asked. "I'll be there for a while, and there is only one toilet for all of us." However, nobody else needed to go, and Chibiscuit soon left the seating area and vanished into the smaller compartment where the lavatory was. Meanwhile, Vesper had shown all his recent photographs to Chipster. -"I have a few more on my digital camera, but I didn't transfer them to my computer yet," he explained. "It's in my bag, I'll go get it." -"Can I help you with this?" Chipster asked. -"No, I'll be all right. You stay here, I'll be right back." Vesper went to the baggage car, but it was a complete mess. The various bags were piled up in no logical order, and his bag was nowhere to be seen. Suddenly, he heard the door open behind him; it was Crackers. -"Brighty told me she wanted to see my purse, it looks somewhat like a chicken." She glanced at the piles of bags. "It should be in here somewhere..." -"I suppose we'll find what we're looking for faster if we both search different piles. I'll search for your purse, and if you find my bag, let me know." Vesper described his bag, and the two started searching. Meanwhile in the passenger car, Soren had put on his earphones and had lied down on the bench with his eyes closed. Brighty absent-mindedly looked out the window. The view was amazing, she considered incorporating something like this in her novel. She turned on her laptop and started typing. Chipster, however, got up and started to make his way towards the baggage car. -"You all right, Chipster?" Brighty asked. -"I'm fine," Chipster replied. "Nothing a little fresh air can't fix." Brighty nodded, and soon went back to her novel, seemingly absorbed in her task. As Chipster walked through the baggage car, he saw Vesper and Crackers throwing bags around. The noise was deafening, and neither seemed to realize his presence. He walked out of the wagon onto the platform outside. However, unbeknownst to all the others, one of the passengers slipped away, and went to see another one, signalling them that it was time to carry out their plan. The second passenger nodded, and went out of the passenger wagon, contemplating the fragility of the mechanism linking it to the rest of the train. Chipster was still outside, contemplating the view, when he suddenly heard someone approach from behind him. He turned to see who it was. -"Hello," he said. "The view really is beautiful, isn't it? Hey what are you doing? No! DON'T!" A loud scream could be heard everywhere in the two wagons, coming from the platform at the end of the baggage car, where Chipster was. Four of the passengers immediately rushed to see what had happened; Chipster's motionless body could be seen next to the tracks further away. -"We've got to stop the train!" Everyone immediately ran back inside the passenger car and pulled the emergency brake. The train seemed to be slowing down. -"Well, I'm back," Chibiscuit said, walking out of the compartment containing the lavatory. "Hey, what's going on? Where's Chipster?" -"Chipster...is dead," Brighty said, struggling to hold back her tears. "He fell off the train." -"Fell off?" Vesper interjected. "I don't see how someone could fall off..." -"Someone must have pushed him off!" Soren said. -"I don't like the looks of this, I'm telling the conductor," Crackers said. She went through the doors leading to the next wagon...and nearly walked off. The two wagons were stopped in the middle of a bridge, and the rest of the train could faintly seen much further away. -"We're trapped here, in the middle of nowhere, and one of us is a murderer?" Chibiscuit said, on the verge of panic. -"Two of us, probably," Soren said. "The wagons getting detached at the same time Chipster gets pushed off? That's too much of a coincidence." -"This is terrible," Crackers said. "We've got to do something about this..." --- The day phase has begun. There are clues in the story, but keep in mind that not everything is a clue. I will post a list of clues once the game is over. Be careful: the result of this round will determine the outcome of the game. When you have decided who you are voting for, post their username in bold. Good luck! |

@ EVERYONE We are 3 normal Citizens VS 2 Mafia. We have ONE vote to win, so we need to be slow and careful and think about it before deciding. I guess one good thing about this is that the Mafia can't kill me, which is what tends to happen in these games I can be as hardcore as I want, and I WILL be hardcore. Also, I don't rely on clues - I've played several games, and I can tell you that people EASILY misinterpret them. However, I do turn to them a little, and more info is probably better. So [CALL]Chipster-roo[/CALL], how many clues are there? Obvious or subtle? Going to wait for the posts before making judgments. |

There are four clues. I tried to make them subtle, but whether or not I succeeded, I don't know. However, a few of them involve making deductions based on seemingly unrelated details. |

"Stuck in the Middle with You" So since the game has officially begun, I decided to do something interesting to add a little spice into this imaginary situation of Mafia 2. I decided to draw the setting we've been placed in, given only the information in Chipster-roo's story and after doing my own research, drawing, and a good amount of time, I was able to complete this drawing I named after this song- https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=DohRa9lsx0Q It was hard ad took a while for I have a tendency to draw with the best of detail, yet I still think I could have drawn it better. Sorry If it looks sloppy everyone for I'm still getting the hang of this, yet I'll improve soon. Also Sorry about it looking too small. @Chipster-roo- I really love the story you've written here my dear friend, I was actually surprised and really happy that you've decided to use my suggestion of using the material of the Novel Murder on the Orient Express for I had hardly expected it. The story is well constructed, keeps the sense of mystery and suspense and I could easily imagine each and every one of us doing the things you've had us do in your story. This may take me time to think of who the two accomplices are but I'll do my best to avenge you and bring these perpetrators to justice before the day is done, I hope. (Also Hugs from me for It's sad to read your death, my dear Friend, hope you rest well.)@Bright Side- Thanks for the advice my dear brighty for that will hopefully aid us in our quest to get these criminals.^^ (Also, Hugs for you too for It's saddening to see you cry, my dear) Edited by Vesper, Nov 24 2016, 12:00:17 PM.

Well done drawing, Vesper! It's cool that you're using your imagination. However, this doesn't excuse the fact that you could be Mafia, so I can't trust you. When I read the story, something stuck out to me. I didn't post this earlier because I'm wary of clues, but it's been bothering me.
Soren is really...informed. He's also quick to accuse the group. It would make sense for a Mafia to want others voted (AKA killed) out for their gain. HOWEVER, don't assume it's a clue. It may or may not mean anything. |

Thanks my dear Friends for I did enjoy drawing that and thank you for adopting my suggest once more for It was a pleasure to share it with you.
Don't worry my dear Brighty for I had no intention to use my drawing as a decoy or of an excuse of some sort, and I understand that you can't trust me, yet I can't trust you either. Now then, I may have a theory with some form of evidence on who may the two mafias among us on this train. I believe it's both Bright Side and Soren for the following reasons:1.) Diversion, meaning to draw attention away from its main course in an instance is found within the events that transpired to the death of Chipster-roo. In the beginning, we're all the same car, and that provided an issue for both of the suspected mafias for their were too many witnesses and was not the most favorable of conditions to conduct the murder, so the two had to wait and act natural as they waited for the opportunity in timing to present itself. Then Chibsicuit had expressed that a need to go to the laboratory and soon leaving for the Laboratory, leaving Chibisicuit out of the picture for she had commented that she would be there for a while, allowing the two suspected Mafias to not worry of her foiling their scheme, leaving only me and Crackers to deal with. Luckily for them, I had to go to the baggage cart to retrieve my camera for Chipster-roo, then only leaving Crackers left. Brighty then as a way to distract her, asked her if she could see her chicken purse which was in the baggage cart, as said by Crackers herself when stumbling upon me-
Now with everyone gone, they had to still wait for the time when Chipster-roo was most vulnerable for them to commit their crime. As they waited, Soren , while Brighty . Then Chipster-roo became vulnerable when he and commenting to Brighty that . This had provided the opportunity that the two seeking for and once Chipster-roo told her what he was going to do, she nodded her head, maybe nodding of how things were going as well as they had hoped and in order not to further cause suspicion upon herself, she went back to her novel,
"Seemingly"-meaning so as to give the impression of having a certain quality;apparently. Once Chipster-roo had finally reached the platform in the back of the Luggage cart, Bright Side decided to put their plan into motion as she and Soren were finally alone in the passanger cart as she then got up to see Soren, who was assumed to probably still listening to his music, and signalled to him that the time was now for them to do their part in their scheme. It is assumed that Soren went to detach the last two cars from the rest of the train as presented in a suspicious comment given by him later after the crime is commited . Meanwhile as Soren was doing this, Bright Side had a more sinster role to play in this great scheme of theirs. She is assumed to quietly pass through both the Passenger and the Baggage cart without raising suspicion to the plateform, where she finds Chipster-roo, alone and Vulnerable just as how she intended for him to be given circumstanses. It best to note on how Chipster-roo greets this Suspect for it seems calm and friendly, like greeting an best friend of his, which in turn, Chipster-roo and Bright Side have been known to be great friends to one another, so the greeting as seen here -
was to be expected when he saw her on the plateform with him. Unfortunaltly for him, he was caught off guard when he was pushed off the train by his best friend, leading to cause of his death. It also good to note how his screams were only heard in instead of the whole train, leading to assume that the last two train carts were separated by then by Soren. It best point that due to the sudden rush in adrenaline between both me and Crackers, we had not probably noticed how Brighty was already on the plateform, with only Soren taking notice. They soon pull the emergency brakes and Chibisicuit joins to them and asked what is going on, in which Brighty who was "crying" at the time (Possibly just for show to not allow them to get suspicious of her, rather give her sympathy instead* say that . I later comment how that was highly unlikely, in which all then assumed that this not an accident as Soren commented that . It is then discovered that they have been seperated by the rest of the train and now are stuck in the middle of a railway bridge. Soren then comments that . It's Suspicious how Bright Side had put it
*It's also good to note that the motives are still unclear and unknown, leading to why I decided to not include in my reasons to avoid misleading eviedence. Now then, I hope I have provided reasons that will put these protraiter to justice for Chipster-roo killing was not justified at all. Thank you for your time. |

Only thing I can say is that I'm slightly leaning Town on Vesper. I could be wrong and he is Mafia, though. Never assume someone is Innocent. We all know that I find clues unreliable. Vesper, it's worth noting that if your reasoning is wrong, your conclusions are also completely wrong. You could have completely misinterpreted the story. However, your thoughts may contain some truth. More importantly, I like his process even if I disagree with it. He seems to be really thinking through the story. Most Townies (I'm an exception) tend to start their investigations using the story, and that's what Vesper has done. I find this unsuspicious. A viable alternative is that it's a trick and he is a Mafia pretending to work hard. This is a possibility I have in mind. |

(I gotta say, I love this setting Chipster and Vesper! A train murder mystery? Awesome^^) First off, that's quite an analysis Vesper! I agree with you on the main point: diversion. It's obvious I think that whomever the mafia are, they needed to wait for someone to be alone in order to kill them. But I think that makes about everyone suspicious (except Chipster of course. What a plot-twist that would be! :D) because this diversion could've happened in any number of ways. For example: when Vesper leaves to search for his bag, he could be purposely distancing himself from the group, knowing that if he stayed away long enough, someone would come and see what was taking so long and thus separating that person from the group. Or another example: Crackers says she came to look for her purse because Brighty asked to see it. This could mean Brighty send her there on purpose, but she could also just be lying and she could be mafia and positioned herself in the baggage car to lie in wait. I'm not saying any of this is the case but it could be. So while I agree that a diversion was needed for the mafia to strike, it's difficult to say how and by whom this diversion was created. Now, not many posts have been made yet so it's difficult to decide based on that. So for now, I'll base this on the story, even though I know I need to be wary of clues. I'm not sure who, exactly, is mafia but there are a few combinations that I think are unlikely: Vesper and Crackers: either one of them may be mafia but both seems unlikely to me because of this conversation:
It would be an odd conversation if they were both mafia. And to say it is an act seems a bit far-fetched to me. However, either of them could be mafia. First because of what I said earlier and secondly because:
And to borrow Vesper's words:
If one of them were mafia they could've pretended not to notice Chipster, alerted their partner and snuck off to push Chipster off the platform. The other innocent wouldn't have noticed because they were really absorbed in their search and as stated "the noise was deafening". Second: I don't think both Brighty and Soren are mafia for similar reasons. It would simply make more sense to me if at least one of the mafia were in the baggage car but maybe that's just me. I mean how else would they know Chipster was really alone? Crackers or Vesper could've have joined him on the platform for a bit of air and then the plan would be ruined. Soo I think that's it for now? Like I said, I'm not sure who the mafia is but I don't think it's Crackers AND Vesper or Brighty AND Soren. |
