"Well.....okay," Gooseberry muttered to herself, a little sore that her offer to help the new doe, Naru, had been promptly ignored. She shied away from all other rabbit contact, which was hard enough considering the confined space. All the new names and smells were whirling in her head like a whirlwind and she knew the chances of her sleeping were next to none. Bramble's stories about dogs, and hrudodos and men had her tingling with excitement and anticipation, like an electric charge from lightning had hit her.
She moved nearer the entrance, giving the rest of the rabbits, especially those grossly injured, a more secluded and safe sleeping space and claiming the mouth of the run as her own.
Gooseberry seen Cayenne and how hrair different emotions were stated across her face. She smiled to herself, guessing who had brought on such a reaction.
"Is Rowan okay?" Gooseberry hopped to her left and cut off abruptly, facing the eyes of easily the most dangerous rabbit in the whole group. She apologized for her interruption but something more sinister tinged her worries after she accidentally brushed her paw against Naru's. A hot energy singed her fur.
She stumbled backwards at the waves of oppression, fear and insecurity that swept through her. What sort of gift had she just unveiled in herself? Why had she never noticed it before? She was just a common doe that had lived too near a farm her whole life!
"I'm sorry!" she gasped, and pushed her way outside.

I do not know what that was about! But anyway, sorry for being absent for a while, hi everyone :) Nothing personal to anyone because of their characters!

Rowan simply nodded in response to Frost. Now that everybody was safe behind bushes, he could join them in there and take a closer look at his forepaw. He hopped through the shrubs and branches, doing his best to ignore the pain that appeared every time he put some weight on his left paw.

After getting through, Rowan looked at the rabbits by the scrape. He hoped that they will be able to get everybody underground sooner, that it will take that wretched fox to come back. He narrowed his eyes, noticing that not every rabbit was present. A few were missing. Where were they?

He glanced at Cayenne, who was at the moment talking with some of the new rabbits. She didn’t seem to be worried about missing rabbit, so they were probably somewhere nearby. He sighed deeply. This had already been quite an eventful day and he prayed to Frith that the rest of it would be peaceful.

Rowan settled down a few hops from the main group and waited for Frost to join him. He moved his injured paw a bit forward, so the healer rabbit could have a good look at the wound.

---

Dash turned to the pair of rabbits, who had followed him. He smiled at them warmly. “Thanks for helping,” he said. Even though he didn’t expect he would have to spend a lot of time on searching for Runt, he was glad he wouldn’t do it alone. With all these earlier encounters with predators, it was reassuring to have some company.

“You are very observant, Sage,” he said, looking at the break of branches she was pointing to. He sniffed the air. There was a faint scent of Runt coming from that direction. “All right. Let’s see how far Runt had come.” He followed the small doe, who obviously knew a thing or two about tracking and who had the same name as a doe he knew back in his old warren. Hearing that name caused a surge of memories, but he pushed them away. He had to focus on finding Runt…

[[Bramble, Sage and Dash are already outside of ring of bushes, right? ]]

[[@Myrk: Yep! I imaging they're like right up against it. In fact, I'll make a map.]]

Sage was struck by the way that he said her name, as though it help some great amount of meaning to him. "Why do you say it like that?" she asked, turning back around and taking up a pace beside Dash. "'Sage'?" she closed one eye, imitating the buck's voice inflection. "Something wrong with the name?"

---
Cayenne saw a change overcome Gooseberry's face, and she stood up in reaction to it, wondering if there might be a predator about. Looking around, and then back, she noticed Naru reacting to something in her paw, and Gooseberry dashing away. "Gooseberry!" she called, thoroughly confused. She gave an unsure look to the still-silent Bravlao and then followed after Gooseberry, catching up to her just past the ring of bushes and putting a forepaw on the panicking does paw. She gasped for breath, having not been prepared for such exertion of energy. "What--happened--G-Gooseberry?" she managed, eyes full of concern.

Dash didn’t answer at first, as he was occupied with following Runt’s trail. Why had his companion left the safety of the burrow anyway? “There is nothing wrong with your name,” he said to Sage, “It just reminded me of rabbit I know, of home.” For a moment, his face had a sad, wistful look. Suddenly he realized how much he missed his old warren and friends he had there. He had had a pretty decent life there, but he had lost it, through his own fault…

He noticed that trail was beginning to lead them to the east. Runt’s scent was also getting stronger. He sped up, wanting to catch up with his friend quickly. And soon enough Dash saw whom they had been looking for.

“Here you are! What got into you, to hop away like that?! It’s not safe here. There is fox about and…” he paused, because Runt didn’t turn to him or even acknowledge his presence. The smaller buck was just staring into the distance. It must be one of those moments, where he is in his own world, Dash thought. He came to other rabbit and pushed his nose into his side, hoping this would get some reaction out of Runt. It didn’t.

(Thanks, just wanted to be sure, oh and I will refer to him as Gray, his actual name is Inlè-Thlay, or moon-fur.)

Gray limped slowly along the river path, glancing around occasionally just to make sure he wasn't about to be attacked, he'd already been attacked twice because of his fur and eyes, the first time they had torn his ear, the second he escaped after giving the leader of the attack a kick to the face, he couldn't help but feel satisfied at the thought of that.
Regardless, he had to keep going, even with how he constantly hid his tracks out of habit he could still be found by Homba, Lendri or some other Elil, he stopped as he could feel a familiar scent, rabbits.

He had never known there was a colony in this area, so this made him quite curious as he started to walk away from the river and towards the scent, he wondered how these would act, if they would try to kill him he'd just give whoever he could reach a kick, bite or a swipe before he'd run away, if not then that would be a welcome change.

(He's headed towards Runt, Dash and the other rabbits in that small group, dunno who all of them are, basically he's heading towards Runt and Dash, if you went east at some point you should be not too far from the river, thought it'd be logical if he just noticed you in some way from there.)

[[Glad you joined :D Perhaps you may even be what Runt's vision is about. Hope to see your character soon!]]

As Dash got that wistful look on his face of remembrance on her face, Sage had to chuckle through her nose. "He got that same look." She turned her face forward and smiled to herself. "You two are pretty similar, it would seem--with a few minor differences in attitude."

Suddenly, Dash shot forward--whether or not he hadn't heard her or chose to ignore her, Sage didn't care much. She followed after, rounding a corner and finding Runt sitting just off the deer path they'd been travelling along, in another trance--this one with less shrieking and convulsing. That was at least better.

She came over to his side to see Dash feebly attempting to draw him back to the real world. "How long does he usually stay like this?" she asked, thinking back to the burrows when she had been the only one around. A momentary image flashed by her mind in which she was sprawled on top of him, trying to calm him, and a little hot flash flickered through her cheeks and she turned away, towards the now-in-sight river. "Anything I can do to help?" she muttered with a dry throat.

(Thanks.)

Gray continued walking towards the scent of rabbits, barely walking for a minute before he saw the small group of rabbits the scent had came from, three of them, one of them looking Tharn, curious he slowly walked closer to them, stopping about 10 feet away from them, not wanting to get too close if they were jumpy, "Hello, are you from a nearby warren?" he said loud enough for them to hear.

Dash noticed that Sage wasn’t fazed at all by Runt’s stupor. She must had seen something like that, when she had been alone with his friend. “Well… It varies. Sometimes it’s so short you wouldn’t be able to play even one round of Bobstones. Other times he can stay like this so long that in the meantime you could have a Bobstones competition for whole warren.”

He cocked his head to the side, as if to take a better look at Runt. He wondered what the other rabbit was thinking about at that moment or if he was 'seeing' something.

“Obviously we can’t let him stay here,” he said to Sage. Then his lips twitched in slight smile. “Luckily, I have a proven way to wake him up. I just need to bite his tail.”

At that very moment Runt almost jumped in place, turning his bottom away from Dash. “Keep your damn teeth to yourself, Dash!” he said with evidently angry look. The brown buck only chuckled in response.

“Oh. So you can hear us after all.”

“Us?” Runt asked, only now noticing Sage and Bramble. “What did you all come here for?” he said in not very polite manner.

“We were obviously looking for you. It’s not safe to be here alone.”

“I know. You didn’t have to look for me. I was quite fine.”

“Of course you were,” Dash said with a heavy sigh. He hadn’t expected Runt to show much gratitude for them worrying about his well-being, but his companion could at least be less nonchalant about the whole thing. Especially towards rabbit, they had barely met. Dash wanted to make a good impression on their new friends, but Runt cared little about it. No surprises there…

"Hello, are you from a nearby warren?"

Dash turned towards the rabbit who said it. How many strangers were in these parts anyway? There was something weird about this one. Dash was unsettled by new rabbit’s red eyes, but he covered his uneasiness with friendly smile.

“Hello there. I’m Dash. And yes, we are from the warren. How about you?”
