Gray looked somewhat surprised at the rabbit's friendliness, he could see a short moment of strangeness because of his eyes, but he ignored that, at least the rabbit didn't think him some demon, when he mentioned a new warren Dash had spiked his interest, new warren?
He had not heard of any band of hlessi or the like passing through, much less hlessi who tried to set up a warren, heck, he thought he was the only one besides some old black rabbit with a scarred nose and ears that practically were rags.

He pulled himself out of thought as he realised he'd almost let several seconds pass without saying anything, he'd lost trust for that before in colonies, mostly because of the paranoia present in the rabbits that he'd been talking to when it happened, "I'm a Hlessi, my name is Inle-thlay, but please call me Gray, Inle-Thlay gets a bit lengthy in conversation, and your warren must be quite new, I have never heard of it before." the young rabbit said, shuffling his legs slightly closer to his body.
The rabbit looking to be somewhat bigger than average, though a closer look would reveal fur oddly thick, just making the rabbit look bigger than he was, he looked like no fighter either but his legs looked like they could deliver a pretty mean kick regardless.

(Hope that's fine to read for ya, I'll wait for speedwell to do a post too because Sage probably has something to say or do too.)

At Runt's line about being "quite fine," Sage couldn't suppress a snort. "Ah, yeah, you certainly looked it--sitting out here in the open as clear as a cloudless sky. There's an owl that passed by not too long ago--but, no worries there, I'm sure you'd have no difficulty whatsoever fending it off with you unmatchable one-line sarcasm. In fact, perhaps you'd best take title of Chief of Owsla right now; you seem all ready to be scoping out the area, don't you? Perhaps if you were lucky..."

And then she heard the stranger from the distance, introducing himself as though he were the king of the hedgerows. She had to suppress a little sigh, thinking that sleeping space tonight was going to be very crowded--not to mention noisy--indeed. She gave him a friendly look, nonetheless, having to turn off the dry responses she had in response to Runt's wandering off and completely tune out the buck beside her. "At this rate," she said to everyone standing most uncomfortably around her, "We'll have enough rabbits to declare war on the Wandering General by sundown, eh?" She smiled at herself, knowing this introduction not to be the most typical, but she had a feeling that, even if she could recall her past, she probably wouldn't remember how to be a friendly doe, anyway. "We're all pretty new to the area, Gray. Have you come from beyond that river?" She looked up at the water in the distance for reference. "I'm sure you would have seen the group that just came pouring into the burrow if you had been anywhere else."

[[Lol, Yeah. Sage has quite a bit to say...]]

(yeah, and he didn't introduce himself first then ask about them, he just asked out of curiosity and he really doesn't have an "I'm leader" tone to his voice, wasn't expecting to find a post here either at this time.)

Gray glanced at the doe not long before she spoke, she didn't seem phased by his eyes for now, something that relieved him a little, as the rabbit mentioned a wandering general he froze in fear, bad memories welling up inside him, rain, shouting, something about a general woundwort and a colony called efrafa, blood, running right past humans, just wanting to get away.
He quickly shook himself out of his thoughts, this was not the time for going Tharn, but he had already done so for about a second, maybe two, regardless, as the doe talked about where he came from he shook his head.
"No, I followed the river downstream to here, been wandering the entire day so it's no surprise neither of us have met before, maybe we should move to a safer place if any of us want to keep running, the wind's blowing our scent all the way to the river, probably beyond it, I do not know about you but I don't plan to wait for Elil to come at us." he said, purposefully avoiding mention of the wandering general, he was worried that he too might stumble over them, something he would not wish even for most Elil if the rumors about him were true.

Runt looked from Dash to Sage. It was obvious they weren’t pleased with his lack of gratitude for their efforts on his behalf. While Dash showed this only with his body language, Sage was more outspoken, which was usual for her as Runt had already learned. He was sure he had been safe sitting here alone, but maybe…

Maybe that didn’t justify his current attitude towards them? After all, they didn’t have to come looking for him and possibly risk their lives. In addition, they had had no way of knowing, if he had been alright, so perhaps they deserved better than what he was currently giving them?

He looked at them apologetically and opened his mouth to say something, but then a new rabbit showed up. For some reason these woods were teeming with hlesil. Was it a coincidence or destiny? Runt couldn’t tell.

Runt approached the stranger slowly, hopping around him and sniffing in curious manner. He was half-listening to what this rabbit was telling Sage. Finally, he stopped in front of newcomer.

“You have weird fur and weird eyes,” he said, “Perhaps you will stay with us permanently, instead of just visiting like you did in those other warrens.” He turned back and begun hopping towards their ‘warren’, not waiting for any answer.

Hearing this comment about the other rabbit's appearance, Sage gave an assertive shove to Runt and looked at him with a piercing gaze just as he began to leave. Of course, she'd been privately thinking to herself this rabbit did look strange indeed, but only a real piece of hraka would point that out to a stranger. She turned back to the stranger, all in a fret, and shook her head, saying "Seriously, don't you mind a word he says. He's got a family of termites living in his bumhole, I guarantee you."

Stealing back a moment to take a sigh, she looked back to where Runt was disappearing and muttered a bit quieter: "Though, he's right about one thing. You can stay with us if you like, Gray. It is a bit dangerous out here, but we're not far. You'll come with us." This last part was more of an assertion than a question, and she gave a nod to Dash, and then to the silent Bramble, and in her own matter began back towards home, very much hoping that the others would follow after her.

Gray watched the strange rabbit hopping around and sniffing him as he talked, rolling his eyes as the runt pointed out his fur and eyes, he was pretty much used to it, but he got the impression that that small rabbit hadn't learned manners, he sighed as the rabbit then started hopping away, as the doe commented he couldn't help but smirk but he didn't respond, figuring it'd just show bad manners from his own side.

When the doe talked again he nodded, they way she said the last few words making him give an involuntary shudder, it brought up bad memories, though he quickly shook those memories out of his head, following the doe, wondering how they might have placed their warren, "I appreciate the offer, hope whoever your Rah is doesn't think ill of me, I'd hate to cause problems for others."

Dash was getting more and more irritated with Runt’s behavior. His companion had spoken to Gray for the first time and he had to do it by making a rude remark about new rabbit’s appearances. Dash was beginning to fear that, if Runt won’t watch what he says and will keep insulting others, then the small, gray rabbit could be thrown out of the warren (which didn’t quite deserve that noble name at the moment).

And who would have to follow Runt to ensure his survival, if that was to happen? Me, that’s who, Dash thought angrily. He really needed to have a serious talk with Runt, before the latter get himself banished or (in best case scenario) hated be everyone else. That had to wait, however, till they were back at the warren, where they could have some private conversation.

“Don’t worry, Gray. I’m sure that Cayenne won’t mind you staying with us,” he said to red-eyed rabbit, as they hopped after Runt and Sage.

Gray followed the two rabbits closely, his torn ear twitching occasionally, there was something strange about how he seemed to pay attention and hear even the smallest sound, probably a habit from being Hlessi, he looked towards Dash as they hopped after the two rabbits in the front, "I hope so, I'm slowly tiring of just wandering around without any aim, oh and that friend of your, I don't resent him, he seems more like he simply has not learned any manners, besides, he was speaking the truth."

Gooseberry was pacing, and fighting back a wall of fear with each step. She was being silly, the 'physic' feeling she had received was a trick of the mind, after all, she had been through alot today. "My paw burned," she explained nervously to Cayenne, praying the doe wouldn't laugh. It's never done that before, never. It might just be that I got the impression Naru doesn't like me. It has to be, your paw doesn't errupt my paw into flames." She twisted her paw in mid air, then still shaking, she put on a brave smile. "Thanks Cayenne, I'm.....a little jumpy."

With a ruffle of her chocolate brown coat, she tried to slip back into her sleeping space, but not without some trouble. There wasn't much space left at all, perhaps the rabbits at the back weren't close enough, or, the worst cause, the burrow just wasn't large enough to accommodative to them all. Also Naru surprised glare made her shudder again, and a thin veil of the same feeling as before drifted through her.

Hearing a crack in the undergrowth with her sharp ears, she poked her head out of the head surrounding the back entrance, and met the surprised eyes of some returning rabbits, one ion particular that didn't look familiar. "Oh, hello, Dash, Bramble and Sage, is that a new rabbit?" She gingerly examined his eyes, remembering how some hutch rabbits at the farm had ones just like them in the past.

Gooseberry stepped back to let them enter the warren, chewing the inside of her mouth fretfully at the new difficulty involving space. She exchanged glances with Cayenne. Did no rabbit have a home of their own?

As gray followed the other three rabbits through the back door he immediately glanced around, it seemed a pretty convenient place along with the fact that it was hidden by the bushes, though there was little space between the bushes and the warren itself, or what he guessed was the warren.

As the new rabbit with the brown fur looked out he stopped, meeting her studying gaze fairly calmly, though with a hint of surprise as he didn't expect her to pop out like that, as she asked if he was the new rabbit he nodded, not giving the three any chance to answer as he responded, "Yes I am a new rabbit here, should be fairly easy to see that." he responded.

As she moved aside to let them in he noticed how little space there was and he hestitated before slowly walking in, that slight limp of his constantly visible, though seeming to not affect his speed whatsoever, he had no signs of wounds of any kind either except for his torn left ear, though that had seemed to have healed completely, "This place could really use some expanding, I don't think a burrow this small will be healthy in the long run." he said simply before finding himself a decent spot that wouldn't take up much space, laying down there and relaxing.

Gooseberry watched a little wryly. "I'm new here myself, and I sometimes have trouble identifying all the rabbits here. You see, I wouldn't know if you were new or here all the time......anyway...am...welcome."

She wasn't dismayed that the burrow looked too full for her liking, she liked to sleep above ground sometimes, though she wasn't sure the rabbits in charge of safety would like it. She heard the new rabbit comment again and pulled herself around, pressing a smile onto her face. "We just moved here, and rather alot of new rabbit have come today, even after myself. I'd be happy to help out with the digging, but only of the bucks consent to help. There really isn't that many does..."

(May I, then?)

"Hush. We'll get there when we get there."

"But I'm tired. Cold." came the response of a harsher voice. A buck, actually. "So are the others. You can't keep us on like this, Indi."

She turned sharply, her dark teal eyes ablaze and her soft brown fur beginning to stand up. "Zornroo, don't question me. I'm in charge, not you. Do I need to prove it?" she snapped. By all measures, indeed, she was quite a masculine doe. She had no clue her little group of four was passing by another warren. But someone had to take charge, and she couldn't let that be Zorn. She knew the buck well, and she knew how he'd lead - and that wouldn't do for Indi.

So she'd taken charge.

"Besides, we can find rest soon. We can't be out in the open anymore." She surveyed the two other does. "Hyzen, why don't you go and scout ahead? That's what you do best, isn't it?" The light tan doe nodded.
"'Course, Indi-rah." She darted ahead, her head and ears high. She wasn't looking at the ground, and finally just slipped in toward a hole. She scrambled back, her eyes wide. Turning, she called, "Indi-rah! Tell the others I found something!"
The voice of the unnamed doe rose up. "We can hear you, Hyzen!"

The other three arrived not far after, each examining the hole that they were too tired to realize was quite near a warren. What they were looking at was abandoned long ago. "Well," the third doe - nearly black, her fur was so dark brown - began, "We can rest around here for the time being."
"It could be a stoat's hole," Zorn growled. "It isn't safe."
"Well, Zornroo, I do recall that you aren't in the position to make demands or decisions. And there's no scent of Elil, so we'll be fine here," Indi told him.

(( Yes, you can. :) I take it that your characters are approaching other hole-that-is-a-warren? If they were near our warren, then they should have noticed other rabbits outside of it.))

Ah xD I didn't realize they were outside. I'll edit it - it's a hole NEAR the warren now xD)

"Hang on," Zorn hissed, sitting up. His pale fur stood out against the landscape. "I hear others." Indi looked around, searching for the signs of the other rabbits.

Gray seemed to smile at the rabbit's reply about digging, "I could help but don't expect an expert digger, I've been Hlessi since I was born and I've almost never dug anything." he said before hesitantly scraping the dirt wall next to him, scraping off a bit of the dirt, "Seems like fairly easy-dug earth, is the entire place like that?" he asked curiously, he might've learned quite a bit from the warrens he had stayed at but he was about as skilled with planning digging as a cat would be at flying.

He scraped the wall another time, then sighed and stood up, he was already getting a bit nervous, he had never been too comfortable with lots of rabbits in one enclosed space, "Anyone feels like talking to me I'm outside." he simply said before he walked out again, going about halfway into the ring of bushed before he just sat down and went quiet.

Listening to the sounds and smelling scents, That was his method of relaxing, he was so used to being a lookout he did it instinctively, paying attention to everything around him and ignoring his own body, he stayed like this for a little while before he could hear something, not from the warren, he could very faintly hear what sounded like lapine, more rabbits likely, he moved through the bushes silently to hear them better and also to see them, looking in the direction the sounds came from.
