It wasn't an easy task for Rowan to carry Fireweed on his back, but he was strong enough to do it and still walk without being slowed down excessively. He wasn't able to march as quickly as without extra weight on his shoulders of course and certainly he wouldn't be able to run if the need arise. He could only hope that they won't bump into a fox or human. They had to find somewhere to hide for the night and quickly. Rowan looked at Dash. The latter seemed to be quite a runner, so he probably would do well as a scout. "Could you run ahead of us and see if there is a good place for us to stay for awhile?" Rowan asked smaller buck. Dash, willing to prove himself as useful and cooperative rabbit, nodded his head and hopped forward, quickly leaving the behind. Rowan and others followed slowly. |

"Wait," Cayenne said just as Dash was beginning out. She raced after him, not looking back to see how Rowan would be affected... if he were affected at all. "Let me come. I'm an okay tracker." As if this weren't reason enough, she gave him a friendly look. "Besides... you may enjoy the company." Without a word, not even seeking permission, Cayenne hopped on ahead at a pace the Dash could easily follow, secretly hoping that Rowan would worry and order her to stop, but determined to get away from the scene nonetheless, and not responding to anything else said, slipped away around a bend, her casual and confident look suddenly slipping away into one of frustration, obviously upset. Sage felt herself being lifted, and, though frightened to death, as it was not a usual rabbit experience, she felt some relief- some glimmer of hope that she may be saved. Suddenly, everything around her flew away as she was tossed up, and though she could not move, she instinctively tensed for fear that she was falling down a large hole. The edginess caused her form to fold around the stranger a lot less easily, and she was repositioned just before she could fall off. Opening her eyes with a new rush of adrenaline from the fear, she now saw that she was moving on this stranger's back, towards the brambles. She clung tight to him suddenly, trying to say everything that she could about the attack, about there being a mad rabbit in the woods and that this buck had better not get to close for fear that he may catch the madness as well, but when the words came out in a jumble, she stopped, breathing heavily. "Thanks..." she could finally mutter, and it more than likely would have gone unheard if not for the fact that she was looming over his ear. --- Two of my characters getting carried off at once. ;P Why doesn't Cayenne just hop onto Dash's back? Hawkbit heard a small "Thanks" as he navigated through the bramble of the bushes. It was a tight squeeze the way it was, just him making a bath through; with a rabbit on his back, the journey was even more difficult to avoid scratches and not get your eyes or ears poked. Arvens hoped he the doe wasn't getting badly torn up. He himself was having a hard go of it this time, with various scratches on his legs and one branch got his face. They hardly drew blood but were annoying all the same. When at last he was through the brush and by the tree and the burrow entrance, Arvens realized another problem. Unless the doe could walk, she wasn't going to be able to sleep in the burrow. He couldn't carry her down there; he barely fit himself, let alone with another rabbit trying to squeeze through the same space at the same time. He lowered himself down, and wriggled out from under the doe so that she rested on the ground. He barely could turn around, as there was hardly any room outside for chatting while hiding. Damned branches he grumbled miserably, if we ever stay here I'm going to nibble through these so we have a passage in here so we can move about. He leaned down close to the doe's face. "You'll have to walk down the burrow. We can't both fit down there at the same time. We're well hidden now and no elil will find us or be able to reach us. Rest now, and if you can, get down in the burrow. I'll keep watch in case something followed us." With that he maneuvered around the doe as best he could, and back out towards the outer edge of the bushes. Wonder where she came from," thought Arvens as he laid in the bushes, watching for any signs of movement. |

"You are right about that," Dash said with wide smile, thinking that he may indeed enjoy the company of Cayenne. He wanted to learn more about her and what better way to do that than walking together? It wasn't exactly the time share stories of life, but small talk could be just as good. Cayenne might even use it, since she was clearly upset over the fact, that Rowan was giving so much attention to the newly met doe. Dash was wondering, if Cayenne was jealous of attention or jealous of Rowan? It was hard to tell now... "So... I'm curious what kind of warren you come from, Cayenne?" Dash asked, trying to start a conversation "I hope you don't mind me asking about that." He looked around watchfully, remembering that he had the job to do. --- Are we going to meat Arvens and Sage now? What do you think about that? |

OT: I'm ready to dive head in! ![]() IT: Arvens laid as still as possible. He hoped the doe could manage to get down the burrow if she could. If not, well, she was resting in relative safety now. That was something anyway. The wind rustled overhead, but as it had been before he found the sickly doe, silence was the lay of the land. How is it I manage to end up in the only area with...nothing. Hardly any birds, hardly any other creatures, not even elil for that matter. |

Ot: Hey. On Friday and following days I will be gone, because I'll be going on short vacation. I should be back around the 19th September. I may still be able to post in those days (using my Kindle for example), but if somehow I won't be able, then at least I've warned you.

D: Sorry for that disappearance!!! Relationship things have been arising, haven't been online much. :3 ----- Cayenne looked away from Dash as the two went along, thinking over how strange it was that he should instantly hit upon a question that hurt. "It was... well, safe, I suppose. Nothing wonderful." She cleared her throat and looked away once more, suppressing memories. "Just not the place for me," she finally said, looking back at him reassuringly. "And what about yours, then? You and, uh... Runt, yeah? If you left, you had to be leaving something." Now breathing regularly, Sage managed a small nod and opened her eyes to look up at the stranger: a strong buck with a feather woven behind his ear, as though her were trying to fly. Perhaps he can fly, she thought, relaxing once more. Maybe he was lifting me into the air when I felt myself flying off the ground. I'll have to... the thought slipped away as she curled into herself once more, trying to gather up strength so that she may get herself walking. Hrair moments passed before Sage jolted up once more, suddenly feeling a flush of the memories. Though she still couldn't stand, she found her voice, and called out in a burst, "Rowan. Don't trust her." Unsure of where the words came from, and dizzy from the effort, she pulled herself up in a panic and blindly stumbled in the direction of the burrow just ahead, before tiredly collapsing. |

Dash looked intentl.y at Cayenne, sensing her uneasiness. It was clear she didn't have too happy memories connected with her home warren. She was rather small. Did someone give her a hard time when she was there? Perhaps. He thought over her qeustion for a moment and said: "My warren was quite safe and there was a lot of nice and friendly rabbits there," he smiled at memory of times he had shared with some of those rabbits he was talking about. "I had to leave, because some got upset over... what I had done." |

Arvens took a quick look back. The doe was no longer there. I guess she managed to pull herself down the burrow, he thought. Turning his attention back to the open space in front of him, he tried hard not to fall asleep. He wanted very much to rest again but forced himself to stay awake. He brushed at his nose as a strong breeze whipped up dust and the scent of rabbit by him. Was he dreaming? Had he dozed out, unaware? There were still no rabbits in sight, yet the smell seemed real, and he sure seemed awake. He looked about for any rabbits. Nothing. But he heard things, and it sounded like someone talking...very close. The doe would be find if he left just for a bit to check on things. Emerging from the bushes, Arvens crept to where he felt the sound was emerging. It didn't sound like arguing, but he didn't think everything sounded ok. He looked around trees, and saw what his nose had already told him. Rabbits! So there were rabbits nearby. One pulled off the same maneuver he had carrying another. They didn't look very big or strong, and the conversation wasn't one of confidence or one of friends who had known each other forever. These were lost souls, brought together, and not apparently all too happy to be together. Arvens decided not to show himself immediately, preferring to hear more to know about his strange visitors. |

"What you've done?" Cayenne looked to the buck beside her, puzzled. "What do you--" and then something caught her attention. A scent. She looked around for a moment, but saw no one, and narrowed her eyes, wondering but not wanting to say anything. After all- if the scent were old, she would look like a right fool getting all worked up about it. Instead, she looked to Dash, bringing her question back into mind. "Dash?" Fireweed, from where she lay on Rowans broad back, opened her eyes, picking up a scent as well- not that of the buck Cayenne was picking up, but of blood. Her mind flashed back to the little doe she had attacked. Fireweed had up until now just assumed the runt would run off and die of its injuries- but if it had somehow help itself... if it were to be found, and if she told the rest of this group what she'd done, her story would be shot away instantly. This opportunity would be lost. Startled at the idea, she lifted her head and looked into the distance, trying to see if she could find a little body lying around. Instead, she locked gaze with a pair of eyes hidden by a bush, watching the group. She stared him down for a few moments with malicious eyes and, instead of pointing anything out, settled back down on Rowan, giving a tiny sigh into his ear. She desperately hoped that, if this stranger were the runt she'd attacked, she would be intimidated by the idea of approaching her attacker and keep her mouth shut where she hid. --- WELL HAI GUYS! *glomps for all* |

Dash followed Cayenne's gaze, but he didn't see anything out of ordinary. Just a bush. He hadn't caught any scent of elil. It seemed that they were quite safe at the moment, so Dash turned to Cayenne to answer her question, when he smelled something else. Blood! The scent of blood was coming from somewher behind that bush! He focused his attention on that place, prepering himself to run as fast as he could, if the need had arisen. Runt was secretly watching... alright, scratch that. He was openly watching Fireweed. That doe was clearly hiding something. Problem was, he didn't know what that "something" could be. Runt could see from time to time things happening before they did actually happen, but he wasn't a mind-reader or all-knowing. However, he did know one thing: the answer to Fireweed's mystery wasn't far off. |

Arvens watched through the bushes as it became clearly evident, the rabbits were aware of his presence. No point in hiding. Arvens poked his head up. "How did you guys get here?" he asked rather bluntly. "Do you need a place to hide?" |

When Rowan had seen a new rabbit, a buck, coming out of the bush, he approached him slowly and carefully. Rowan could somehow recognise that the other rabbit was a soldier type like himself. Maybe it was the way that buck moved or talked. Whatever it was, Rowan knew that the stranger wasn't an average hlessil. Suddenly, Rowan smelled what Dash had sensed a few second earlier. "Blood. I can smell a blood. Who or what is bleeding there, behind you?" he asked stranger not in the most polite way, but the scent of blood could bring predators, so it wasn't exactly the right time for pleasantries. |

As the stranger presented himself, Cayenne silently cursed-- not because she was upset to be joined by more, but simply because she had been onto something when picking up that scent. I probably just gave up the golden opportunity to maybe impress Row-, she blushed beneath her fur, looking away and quickly changed her thought, embarrassed, though unsure why. ...Of proving that I'm worth something. Fireweed silently cursed from her spot, feeling the pressing sense of doom. She shouldn't have let that doe run away. She should have made sure to have killed it. This didn't normally happen- she was usually very good at covering up her tracks. Nevertheless, she thought. It's a mistake that I'll just have to fix. She opened her eyes once more, to listen to the conversation going on, but instead met with the eyes of the small, quiet buck, who she'd heard very little from. His eyes had traces of suspicion in them, and she turned this over in her mind to a great extent as she gave this other buck a curious look, her innocent air veiling her once more, immediately setting to analyze Arvens in the back of her mind. ---- I don't mean for Fireweed to be exposed just yet, so I may let the issue fade soon, just to say. I'm inventing her scandalous hunt for power once the warren begins to settle and come together- which leads me to a question... ... How explicit should we allow this roleplay to be? :3 |

Arvens looked around quickly. Nobody had bothered to answer his questions, instead decided to question him. Well that was a fine how do you do," he thought whimsically. There was nothing behind him, but blood was certainly spilled somewhere in the area. The doe he had helped underground wasn't bleeding, and neither was he, so something else was out there. "I'm not bleeding," he retorted rather sternly. "I haven't an idea what is, and we'd best get into some shelter. I know a place where we will likely be safe if we're willing to forgo a bit of elbow room for safety. Now, are you coming or not? We can do introductions later." Arvens left the bush into the open. "Follow me if you wish to hide. This place isn't easy to find nor get to." |
