Dash looked from Rowan to the stranger, before deciding to follow the latter. He didn't know this new rabbit, but was sure he didn't mean any harm to their little group. After all, since when rabbits are enemies? Besides, this buck offered them shelter and Dash felt he could indeed use some rest in well-hidden place. He surely wasn't the only one that was feeling that way.

"I'm Dash," he said shortly, since this wasn't the time for long introductions. "So, where is this place you are talking about?"

Rowan wasn't so convinced that he should trust this new rabbit straigh away, but after a seconds of hesitation, he followed him and Dash. Runt did the same, quite happy that they were going to rest.

OT: Hmm... I think that when it comes to mature themes in this Rp, we should apply the rule: "imply, but don't show".

Cayenne instantly recognized this other buck's type of personality: good-hearted, absent-minded. At least, from what she saw. Having only Dash to safely look for an opinion from, she looked to him wearily, almost giving a rabbit shrug. "Seems like a nice enough fellow," she finally said when no words came from him. "And we're going to need someplace to stay the night."

EDIT INPUT (we posted at the same time):
As Dash when on without a word of response, she followed after, taking delight in the fact that Rowan seemed uncomfortably with the stranger. Probably just doesn't want someone else as big as he is around. He must like the attention, was spat somewhere in the back of her mind.

Fireweed let out her breath, calming down a bit. If no one was bleeding back there, the little doe couldn't have possibly be there- or at least, she thought her pummeling had broken the little thing some what. She'd been so caught up in a fury, that it was all a blur in her memory. She shuddered in on herself, feeling as though she were walking on pins.

Arvens led the tiny group to the brushes where he had previously laid the doe.

"We have to go through the bushes. Follow directly behind me or you will not get through them. Its not so obvious that there is anything actually hidden here. You will find a small burrow beneath the tree. You may rest down there....you will find there is a doe already down there resting. I will rest outside. We'll talk later when we've all rested for a bit."

With that, Arvens poked his head into the brush, pushing branches aside to reveal a small path of sorts for the rabbits to follow. It would be difficult, but he had made it through with another rabbit on his back--no small feat. He looked back to make certain they were following him, weaseling through the path. Arvens eventually came to the small clearing and the entrance to the burrow. "Down there" he pointed, "one at a time...its not exactly big, but it will do."

Runt hopped to the entrance of the burrow and looked inside. Like this stranger had said, this wasn't a big burrow. It had barely enough room to accommodate them all. Still, overcrowded burrow was better than any open space any day.

"This is the time when it's quite handy to be me size. I don't need much room," small buck said with slight smile. Then he noticed what their guide had in his right ear. Red-yellow feather. Fancy. Normally, Runt would ask about this thing or would make a snide comment, but now he was too tired for that. He just wanted to enter the burrow and rest. There was someone inside though. An injured doe.

"And what happened to her?" he asked the new rabbit.

Somewhere off in the distance, Sage could hear the question directed at her, but, if she had any way of controlling her vocalization, she had no idea how to go about doing so. Instead, she found it much simpler to lay still with her eyes shut tight, as though the world outside of her mind did not exist.

Cayenne approached Runt from behind, softly peering in as well. "That's probably where we were smelling the scent of blood. Either that, or something long gone." She looked away from a moment, reflecting on the injury and malice and--she looked to Rowan and that other doe as they came along close behind--and injustice that seemed to plague the world. Though it was clearly bothering her, she swallowed her hurt and looked around at the group she was still so unfamiliar with. "So which of you am I snuggling up to tonight?" she asked, making it clear that the person she wished it to be was quite obviously unavailable. Then she blushed at the brashness of her statement, and looked away from the rest of the bucks, struggling with her internal conflict.

"I don't know what happened to the doe," Arvens said matter-of-factly, "I found her in this shape, barely able to move or walk and brought her here. At least she's alive, as are all of you. Now I don't really care who snuggles up to whom, but we'll be plenty cold if we're so scared to be next to each other in a tight warren. I will rest with whichever one of you is nearest to the entrance as I will keep watch from time to time, even though we are plenty hidden here."

When Rowan heard that another rabbt had been injured, he thought this was a bad day for their kind. Perhaps, the Black Rabbit of Inle was running about, intent on claiming lifes of rabbits? Rowan prayed that Inle-rah will not call Fireweed or that other doe to this place where the dead go. They needed every rabbit, if they were going to start a new warren. Of course, there was always a chance of meeting new bucks and does, but it was wiser not to count only on that.

Rowan lay down on the ground by the entrance to the burrow, so Fireweed could get down softly. "Do you think you can enter this burrow by yourself, Fireweed?" he asked doe. There wasn't enough room for him to carry her inside.

Dash grinned at Cayenne's last question. "Me, if you don't mind, Cayenne. We need to keep each other warm. Like our new friend here had said, it can be quite cold at night, even in a burrow."

No longer feeling her fiery temper or irrationality for the moment, Cayenne surrendered, finally just letting herself feel nothing but exhaustion. "Unless you're all for putting a worthless doe on sentry duty," she began, letting slip her old warren's mindset before she could think about what she was saying. Her eyes widened vaguely at her own words, realizing that she could escape her old home all she liked, but there'd always be a sour part of that warren still in her. She cleared her throat, once again deciding not to worry about anything or anyone for the moment--to just let herself sit in emptiness--and picked her sentence back up. "I'm... Let's just all get some rest." She wanted to slam her head against the forest floor for being such a creature that she did not think she could stand--loud, brash, still boiled over with not being able to hate Fireweed just because she because she was injured, not being able to hate Rowan just because he was giving attention to where it was needed, but simply having to hate herself, for being what she'd always been at the home left behind: not good enough.

Fireweed, who's heart had sunk at the sight of the motionless doe in the cubby of a burrow, swallowed the curses on her tongue and nodded softly, slowly slipping off from Rowan's back. As the other doe, Cayenne, went quiet and turned away in some sort of shame that Fireweed did not quite care enough to look for a source of, she cleared her throat unsteadily and said, "I'd just like to thank you... All of you, for showing me such kindness... Especially you, Rowan," she looked at him with almost sincere gratitude, gently leaning in and pressing her nose to the side of his face. As she turned back, not looking for the large buck's response, she caught a short glimpse of the cold, suspicious eyes of that other, small one, who'd said close to nothing at all this whole time. Slipping into the darkness of the burrow--far away from the battered and bruised doe-- she cursed internally once more, wondering where that buck's suspicion should come from. What?, she joked somewhere deep in her twisted mind, amused by the impossible thought. Is he psychic?

*rereads Cayenne's paragraph*
Whoa. Cynicism. 0_o Sorry for the sudden burst of Cayenne feeling like "Whaa I hate myself." Lol, was kind of therapeutically transferring some of my emotions at the moment into her. :3 The story continues.

*Alright. We'll skip to the morning then, so we all have enough strenght to do something. Here is my question: do you prefer to build our warren where we are now or somewhere else?*

*If the brambles that surround the characters are surrounded by a clearing, then I could imagine that would be a nifty place for a warren.* :3

Arvens, as he stated, slept practically at the entrance to the burrow. He was not even close to another rabbit. Maybe the burrows were slightly bigger than he thought, or maybe they all managed to sleep on top of one another. Either way, Arvens hadn't minded the cold night much. They were safe, and being able to relax made sleep easier to come by.

Stretching and moving outside, he considered waking someone else, but thought better of it. He was in far better physical and mental shape than the companions he found. He peeked around the opposite side of the tree from which they had always entered....it was solidly surrounded by the bramble bushes, making any entrance or exit from the outside practically impossible. Coming back to the entrance, he thought some more. Could this place do for a warren? It would need some enlarging for sure, but the relative hidden safety of the place was impressive. With only one entrance, there's no chance any rabbit or elil could sneak up on them if they guarded the one passable entrance. On the other hand, should the worst happen, only one entrance presented an escape problem. Maybe a small exit out the other side would be necessary if they stayed here. Again, nobody would know they were here unless something saw the rabbits enter the bramble bushes. It was the best thing that they could have lucked upon. Arvens had no intention of leaving.

As the morning sunlight pooled in through the open burrow entrance, a little rabbit opened her eyes and saw a bruised pair of light brown paws stretched out before her. For a moment, she wondered about it, and how they might have become bruised. With an urge to lick strength back into them, she felt the need to stir and pull in on herself. That was when she realized she was surrounded.

The little thing held her tongue as she jolted from surprise, finding, first and foremost, that there was a rabbit about the size of herself who had the audacity to rest his head against her soft white exposed underbelly. Then she took note of the others, all piled against her as though they were old friends- but she hadn't the slightest idea who they were. Wait. She blinked her eyes and tried fervently to recall something familiar, whereupon realizing that she had no idea who she was, herself. Fear took a distinct hold on her as she tried to rack her brain for some sort of life that she must have lived, but it was not there. All she could find was opening her eyes and feeling Frith almighty sore...

Unable to suppress her horror at this point, she scrabbled uneasily and shrieked, knocking the rabbit resting upon her off violently, andpanicking instantly. She unsteadily made a scene of trying to get to her injured paws, only to stumble forward a few meters and collapse, again, falling on her face. She blinked, almost embarrassed by her incapability. Opening her mouth and searching for a swear word capable of summing up this situation, she found that there were no swear words present in her empty mind, and had to settle with a sound similar to "Aughrahkafgh!!"
