Runt was dreaming and in his dream he was laying down on grass with his head resting on smooth round stone. He was in some clearing or maybe on a hill? He wasn't sure. Everything was a bit blurry and at one moment this place looked almost like Greenweed Warren and at another like something else. There were other rabbits around Runt, but their faces were as unrecognizable as everything else here. Runt was in unknown land with complete strangers, so normally he should feel anxious like any regular rabbit in this situation, but he didn't. He didn't think those strangers were any threat to him, as they were minding their own buisness. Besides... It was so sunny, warm and comfortable here, that he didn't want to move. Even the rock he was resting his head on wasn't hard like normal stone, but was rather soft and furry and was moving... Wait, what? Before Runt could think more about this strange rock, it jumped up suddenly, knocking him off of it. Runt opened his eyes. Previous landscape had disappeared and had been replaced with dark burrow. Small buck looked around. He had been pushed back by little doe and now he was leaning against Dash, who (understandably) wasn't happy with being woken up in such manner. "What in Frith's name are you doing?!" Dash asked angrily. "I was about to ask the same thing," gray rabbit answered looking at the rabbit, who had caused all this commotion. |

[[Wasn't sure where to take story from here. I guess no one else was either. Something dramatic needs to happen, I believe, like a huge decision from Rowan or a death or... something. I'll formulate something, but is there any action that we can initiate?]] |

Arvens' ears pricked up at the sound of arguing and a skirmish down below. There was no way he'd get down there with all those rabbits down there. He responded the only way he thought he could--he poked his head in the opening and yelled "THAT'S ENOUGH!" The commotion settled, but he still could not get down and see what had happened. "I can't get down there, but someone better start talking about what started all that trouble. We're in no shape to be fighting each other, so you better find ways to get along very quickly," Arvens snuffed, rather indifferently of what others felt. "Those that are fit, with me, to get some flayrah for those who can't move. We'll talk on the way." Arvens backed away from the hole and awaited the healthy rabbits to emerge. |

The confused little rabbit curled in on herself as the demanding voice came hollering through, scaring from her whatever wits she had left. In complete panic and utter frustration, she felt a single tear trickle from her eye, followed by a few more. She knew how it must look- crying for the rest of the world to see, but her mind could not process any sort of coping mechanism. She felt as though she were a kitten, though she was sure that she wasn't. Cayenne jolted at the sound of Arven's voice ordering the lot, and instinctively buried her face into Dash's flank as though it would protect her from the suddenly oppressive world. After a moment, she pulled back, embarrassed, and looked away to this new stirring doe, the unconscious one from before, in tears for some unknown reason. Sympathetically, she pulled herself out from the rest of the group, almost tumbling right through, but catching herself. She approached the frightened doe and nuzzled her softly, knowing what it was like to sometimes just need a show of sympathy. The display of softness towards this small doe that she did not want to be confronted by was getting for Fireweed's military mind, and she very quickly stood up, showing a stony face. "I'll join," she said to Arvens. Thinking quick of an explanation to her walking with ease, she added nonchalantly, "I'm a very fast healer. I assume you'll find use for me, still mending as I am." |

Rowan's mouth twitched in slight smile at the way Arven had taken control of the situation. He recognized that the other buck was clearly used to giving orders. He had been in Owsla probably, maybe an officer. Rowan was sitting by the entrance to the burrow, so he hadn't been able to see what that commotion was all about. He hoped it wasn't anything serious, as they had enough problems without infightings. When Fireweed emerged from the burrow, Rowan was impressed by how quickly she recovered since yesterday. She is a tough one, he thought with endorsement. At this moment, Runt hopped out. He was clearly displeased for some reason, although he didn't voice his aggravation at first. He stretched his limbs and groomed his fur a bit. Rowan couldn't tell if he was doing it because of desire to be clean or because of desire to keep Arvens waiting. Either way, it took a few long seconds before small buck decided to say: "If you want to know what happened, then here is the short version: that little doe, what's-her-name, woke us all up in most unpleasant manner. I don't know why she did it, but next time I'm going to sleep it won't be anywhere near her. End of story." |

Noticing the admiring gaze that Rowan acquired from his corner as Fireweed stood, Cayenne felt her heart sink. She was nowhere near as jealous as she was just plain sad- for a short time she had had Rowan to herself, but had lost him without making any sort of ties to him. Her gaze drifted away in lost hopelessness, the mourning only being broken when Runt spoke out. The chestnut doe's innocent and unremembering eyes looked up at the mention of herself, and quickly felt a jab of pain in her gut. Obviously, if they didn't even know the name that she must once have had, they surely were not her friends- and hearing the story told as though she were the antagonist made her burn with indignity. With a look of anger, she shot back "Well, I suppose you ought to find yourself another rabbit to lay your head on from now on if my pelt wasn't suitable, piece of hraka. If it's not apparent to you... I'm in a situation, and I don't need the likes of you to further add to my dilemma." There was stillness a moment after the nameless doe had gone quiet, in silent surprise at the confidence of the creature. Finally, like a raindrop breaking the calmness of a puddle, Cayenne broke the silence by expressing amusement in a form equal to laughing, burying her head down and trying to suppress just how funny she thought it was that this doe had stood up for herself without hesitation in the presence of Runt, who obviously thought himself to be high and mighty. "It seems you're picking the wrong sort of fight, Runt." |

(Emily noticed the death of the roleplay, and, with her best judgment, administered CPR.) Fireweed was made terribly uncomfortable by the silence and curiosity surround this doe. She made her way over to Rowan and nudged him with her snout, as if to attract his attention so that he would follow in her restlessness to leave. Then she looked up to where Arvens was perched, hunched in his own stately way, and flashed him an earnest, flirtatious look. "Arvens, is it? Do you mean for us to leave now, or later?" |

Runt was quite surprised when the chestnut doe spoke up. So far she hadn't said anything, so till now he had been thinking that maybe she couldn't talk at all. Obviously she could and was more than willing to use that ability to let him know, what she thought of him. Even though he was still angry at her for knocking him awake, he couldn't help but feel some respect for her. He expressed it in his own way. "Piece of hraka, huh? Not bad an insult, although it's a bit too generic. You could do better than that," he said with hints of amusement "Next time try saying something relating to my behaviour. Like... 'With that attitude even your marli probably regretted bearing you'. Or something relating to my size like... 'You're so small that even a rat wouldn't consider you a fine meal'. Or ''you're so small that you wouldn't be able to satisfy any fem..'" "I think we've heard enough from you, Runt!" Rowan interrupted grey buck, shaking his head in disbelief. The morning barely started and this argument was getting worse and worse. Didn't they all realize they were in unknown area with nobody but themselves to help each other? Didn't they understand that only by working together they can survive here and build a decent warren? Instead they were at each other's throat already, speaking metaphorically of course. He sighed. Maybe it had always been this difficult at the beginning to make band of strangers work together? He was so lost it these thoughts, that he barely registered Fireweed's nudge. When he returned to reality, he turned to Cayenne: "Are you coming with us, Cayenne? We could use a company of someone who is level-headed." --- Sorry for not posting earlier, but... (insert any lame excuse here) |

Cayenne's ears pricked up suddenly as Rowan spoke her name. Completely surprised that he still knew that she existed, she was silent a moment, then nodded, barely containing her excitement. "I'd love to," she said enthusiastically, giving Rowan a smile. From behind the buck, she caught a glower that flashed across Fireweed's face. Well this will certainly be interesting, she thought with some amount of amusement, coming to her feet. The nameless doe stood there in some amount of disbelief, but mostly a sadistic amusement that blended well with her frustration. "What's your name. Runt? You know, perhaps I would try harder if it were necessary, but you seem to be doing a fine job of insulting yourself." Completely through with the scrawny buck, she turned to one of the rabbits beside her- the large one who was about to leave, despite her breakdown. "Just a tick you, uh- are you chief here?- Could you tell me where we are? I'm... uh..." she paused for a moment, thoughtful once more. How on earth was she supposed to explain that she had no memory of who she was? ---- Ah, yes, how coincidental. I was, uh.. doing the same thing... |

Arvens looked around at the rabbits who had joined him at the top of the run. "Well, I'm sure I'll get to know all of you in due time," he said pointedly, "for now, we need flayrah. Lots of it because not everyone is fit to travel. Keep your eyes open, ears up, and your wits about you. No clue what is out there, and a prepared rabbit is a safe one. Now out we go." Arvens led the group back through the brambles and thorns of the bushes that held the secret entrance to one very tiny hole in the ground. He peeked into the open cautiously before exposing himself to the open. Nothing. It was scary to hear nothing, not even a bird. No wind. Arvens hated the silence that he easily would welcome any noise simply to remind him this was not a dream and that he was out in the open. |

Rowan turned to small doe, who asked him a question. "No, I'm not a chief here. I don't think we've chosen any. As for your other question... I only know where we are in relation to my old warren, but other than that..." he trailed off. He had a feeling that he wasn't helping this nameless doe at all, but he didn't know what else to say. When he heard Arvens saying it was time to go, he smiled apologetically to doe, before hopping off after Arvens. "It's time to go, it seems. Are you coming with us, Runt?" Dash asked the small buck, who just shook his head in response. The brown rabbit was about to leave when Runt said: "Just be careful, Dash, and watch out for the dog. He might not be the brightest dog ever, but he is fast and dangerous." Dash looked at him with surprise at first, but then nodded in acknowledgement, "Thanks for the warning". Then he followed Arvens and Rowan to the opening in wall of bushes. |

Arvens looked at the two bucks who had followed him through the bushes out into the open. "Its awfully quiet out here," he remarked casually. "It'll make it easy to notice if anyone is sneaking up on us." Looking over their shoulders, Arvens didn't see any other rabbits following. "Well, just us I suppose. Lets get moving, flayrah won't bring itself to our door." With that, he hopped east rather quickly, not at all comfortable being in such a quiet forest. It was something he hoped didn't rub off onto the others. |

Fireweed had been so silently standing beside a bush with deep purple bush that Arvens did not see her. She the tiny wrinkles of a sadistic smile began to form as she thought how symbolic this almost was. She glanced to Cayenne, who had begun after the group as if hoping to pull up and secure the rear. Finally, Fireweed made the quick dash up as well, falling in behind the east bound group. She said not a word to correct Arvens, but simply came up in between Rowan and Dash and give them each a subtle, almost flirtatious smile, keeping their pace with ease. Left now with no one but this scrawny buck, the little chestnut doe furrowed her brow in frustration, shaking her head as she sat down, defeated. "What was all that about a dog, then?" she finally asked Runt, whom she took care to keep a safe distance away from. "You two brothers with some secret code or something?" She paused again and looked around. "And... where is the rest of your warren?" she added, sincerity creeping into the question. "This can't be all that there is, can it?" |

Once everybody left, except for the still nameless doe, Runt begun nibbling on some grass, trying as much to kill hunger as to kill time. He chuckled at idea of him and Dash being brothers. Wouldn't it be ironic, if a bucks like him and Dash were born from the same mother? "No, I was talking about an actual dog. Living, breathing, ugly, stinking dog," Runt answered her question matter-of-factly "And yes, that's all there is. We only got here yesterday." He looked at chestnut doe with curiosity. Didn't she remember they were all bunch of strangers, who barely had met a day before and didn't have their own warren or a time to build one? "What's your name then? You know mine, but I don't know yours" he asked. |
