Waterhawk was a bit taken aback. Watership Down was a story from her long, lost times as a mere kit. She idly remembered the name, but nothing more specific. One or two rabbits have commented on it ever since her journey began and her own comrade seemed to be very much interested in the subject and her connection to it, although she had never truly acknowledged any link to the hill or its warren. She shook her head slowly and lolloped after the buck, not scared, just slightly intimidated as she did not entirely know what to expect.
Suddenly, there was some commotion that attracted both the doe's and Arvens' attention. She froze in her place and fought against her instinct to bolt. When she came back to her senses, the voices of two rabbits, one she did not know at all, came from not so far away. Wary as she was, she took her time getting closer to the two, but figured that she would want to have company, rather than be caught off guard on her own. "Oh, dear." Was her first, natural reply at the sight of the ruffled buck.

"Nah, he has me to bother him." She replied bouncily. She refrained from asking whether or not he was all right, surely the matter had already been covered by the Owsla officer. "Will you be coming with us, too, then?" The doe wondered out loud. The buck did look like he could take care of himself, but safety did come in numbers - at least as far as rabbits go.

Arvens stood straight up as the buck did so, addressing who he was and if he was alone. The doe had appeared behind him quickly.

"Hardly alone," he replied, meekly. "If you haven't heard of Thornbrush, well then you have a choice--go on your way, or join it. We don't take too kindly to rabbits just hopping about within the boundaries of the warren--much too distracting. As I told Waterhawk here, if you join, you will be checked over by our chief health inspector because we can't have disease in our warren. You appear fine to me, but rules are rules."

Arvens returned beside the doe. "If you choose to go your own way, I guarantee you'll run into another Thornbrush officer sooner or later if you hang about these woods. They aren't all as nice as me," he added to give a sense of urgency to the buck's decision.

"Join a warren, now!?" echoed Yarrow in disbelief. "Well, aren't we a speedy bunch. Why, for all I know, you two may be soldiers of The General here to reel me in to his dark domain." Yarrow paused for a reaction, but, upon recieving none, he chuckled to himself, setting to pulling the stickers out of his fur as he continued to speak. "Don't you two look at me like that!--pfft!--Just an old--pfft!--doe's tale, I know.--pfft!-" he shook himself out.

"Now about these examinations. This chief health what-cha-ma-call-it... they don't include any sort of mental scan, now... do they? Because I've grown comfortable with the fact that I'm a bit too, ah... eccentric for some rabbits' tastes, but if I'm going to be advertised, I'd best decline. It's the very reason I hauled out of Rohyzen Warren." He paused, about to continue speaking, but stopping himself short for the sake of politeness. "You were saying, handsome?" he added, this time in a genuinely friendly way.

OOC: xD Might be over the top, but I'm thinking of Yarrow as some sort of a drag queen rabbit. Don't mind me an my... antics...

Dreamer was running. Very fast. In fact, he was running so fast that only wind could beat him, if they were racing. Somebody could think he was escaping some predator, but in this case it would be far from truth. Dreamer just liked to run for a fun of it, because he could. At times like this, he felt alive, happy, invincible. There were few things he enjoyed more.

Dreamer run past a few trees, then through a flowered meadow, then down onto dirt path, then past some rabbits... Wait, rabbits? He stopped in place or at least he was trying to, but with his speed and momentum he tripped and fell over on his back.

"Ouch!" Dreamer cried. The fall was somewhat painful, but luckily he didn't hurt himself seriously. The hare raised to his feet and shook his body to dust himself off. "That was a really bad way to end a run" he muttered quietly, before he turned around to see he was several long hops away from trio of rabbits. He approached them much more slowly than he did a moments before, hoping he hadn't scared them with all this running and falling.

"Hello!" he said to rabbits with a friendly smile.

Before Arvens really knew it, he was suddenly surrounded by many members of the lapine community, which now included a hare. Like the rest, he seemed amazingly friendly.

"Alright, alright, lets back up a moment here," said Arvens, hoping to have control of the situation at last. "If any of you care to join me to Thornbrush to stay, you are welcome to but you are to follow me and not talk to any Thornbrush rabbit. If you choose to go on your merry way, I'd go before other guards show up. We are generally not fond of strangers in our territory. Make up your minds fast. If you're going to join my warren, follow me now, as our presence has been detected. Cooperation with the officers gets you far in this place."

With that, Arvens make a quick left between two of the rabbits and started for the woods. He knew that the commotion would attract Thornbrush officers, and depending on how lucky he was, maybe it wouldn't be so bad for these newcomers if they chose to stay on. He'd have to get them into the right grouping. Lots of work, not much time.

Yarrow looked to the hare, and then the doe beside him, before shrugging at the two of them. "Did he just insist on ordering us what to do not moments after we met? Or perhaps you two know him better than I do, making me the total stranger. But my, how things rush in these parts." He looked to the two again. "And he seems so sure that we're going to accept his offer on the spot."

Yarrow turned after a moment as though he may leave the group, continuing his mindless journey, before pausing. "Though this is the first warren I've found accepting strangers for miles. What to do, what to do." This pause was much, much longer as he furrowed his brow in thought. "Well, what are you going to do, kitty-cat?" he earnestly asked the doe who seemed clear-headed enough. "I trust your judgment."

Dreamer's ears were twitching in excitement as he was lsitening to the rabbit with funny feather in his fur. He was going to see a warren! He heard about it from his dear old mom. It was a place where many rabbits lived in underground nests. Dreamer found this concept peculiar, but interesting. He had always wanted to see a warren and now he had a great opportunity to do so. He was a bit surprised, that this rabbit would lead him and others to his home without asking more questions. On second thought, since when were rabbits (or hares for that matter) each other's enemy?

Hare looked to other two rabbits then after the one with the feather (where did he got that one?) and then run to catch up with him. "Lead the way, old chap. I'm sure we will get along splendidly. My name's Dreamer. What's yours?" he paused for a moment, so the rabbit had a chance to answer, then he asked another question. "What's an 'officer'? I don't know the meaning of that word."

Skip hopped up the hill slowly pausing to nibble at any tasty grass he could find and the rare young cowslip. The beauty of nature was lost upon him as he sniffed around a sturdy tree at the top of the hill. He stopped and shrank to the ground raising his ears and swivelling them about trying to detect the sound of talking. Skip sat on his back legs and scanned the field below with narrowed eyes, he hopped closer and watched the group of four rabbits curiously 'What in the name of Frith.....' Skip stompped the root of the tree to get their attention and began to clamly paw his ears as he watched them with one eye at the bottom of the hill.

OOC: I wonder how many of old players are willing to return to this RP? Hawkbit? Speedwell? Felidae (she hasn't been active for months, so she probably won't come back)?

Elderberry sat in the grass, watching the commotion. His black ears twitched uncomfortably, he loathed too much noise as it disturbed him and was liable to turn him tharn at times. Recently, he noticed, watership down had been always noisy, full of a hum and bustle which irritated him.
"Probably some plan or other... or a group of newcomers' He muttered beneath his breath, fidgeting with his paws as he often did when he was apprehensive for some reason unknown to him. 'On second thoughts... I believe it is a newcomer... oh Frith... i suppose i will introduce myself later on... not now though... not now' The young rabbit crouched down, nibbling the grass with an air of one not quite at ease.
