...and it isn't good.

2 nights ago, my grandma got a stroke, about 1/4th of the left side of her brain.
There is a good chance that she'll die between now and friday and if she lives there's a good chance of her surviving.
The doctor claims he has seen this before, but it's a very slim chance of her surviving till friday.

Today I'm going to go visit her in the hospital, so if I'm not on then that's why.

I'm glad to hear that she didn't die.
I hope she will recover well.

You guys remember this thread?
Well it's time for a necro.

Today my Grandma died today.
She's been in the hospital for over half a year now...
It wasn't the stroke that killed her, but a disease called sepsis.
From what I have gathered, sepsis is when a bacteria or other germ enters the body through an infection and pretty much travels and multiplies through the blood stream.

"Sepsis is an illness in which the body has a severe response to bacteria or other germs" ~First result on google.
"Sepsis is a potentially deadly medical condition characterized by a whole-body inflammatory state (called a systemic inflammatory response syndrome or SIRS) that is triggered by an infection." ~Wikipedia

Don't throw a pity party.

Don't throw a pity party.
No pity party, but my deepest condolences to you and your family.

My mum died in hospital from septicaemia, though she was only there for three days before then.
