Players on the last year of their contract may be re-signed or delisted.

Each team will have a thread and in it I will post all of their out of contract players and the price they must pay to retain them.

The listed price will refer only for 2 year contracts. For each additional year a coach wants to add the price will increase 15k, and a 1 year contract will increase it by 20k. The maximum contract length is 4 years.

The players' prices will be the same as they were in the previous year except in certain circumstances, such as a player getting paid way too much/not enough or a young player who has improved.

Each side must delist at least 4 players at the end of the season, not including rookies.

De-listed players will go into a pre-season draft @ 75% of their original asking salary and will be on an automatic 2 year contract.

All De-Listings and Re-Signings to be posted in the thread of the same title. You may post speculation in your current thread but nothing is final until it goes into the thread titled "Final Delistings and Re-Signings". You must post all re-signed players, years and salary. De-Listed players, and separately non re-signed rookies and retirements in this thread.

If you delist a contracted player you must pay out 33% of their salary for that year. So a 300k player only frees up 200k salary cap.

That now sounds awesome. I actually get basically everthing about this game now!

Yeah well this is the kind of thing I wanted to do from the start but I wasn't able to figure out a good fair way to do it. However I think I have found the solution :)

Yes, but you have to pay them 50% of their salary for each year left on their contract. Basically you would only do it to free up list room because it won't relieve the salary cap much.

I think other clubs should be able to sign them (draft them) if they want for proper contracts

what do you think?

when Teams list their re signs for the year - they list them at 1year @ 0k
but if i wanted to draft them to a proper contract i could

not sure how it could work but you could work it out ct ;)

This is how it works in real life - i think

Yeah ok sounds good, a bidding system between any club who wants them but the club who owns them only has to pay 1 year @ 55k to match the highest bid

Why do they have to be drafted?

Actually I have a better idea any rookies who only get offered a spot back on the rookie list just go straight into the rookie draft, once again 1 year @ 0k.

If they are 23 then they will go into pre season draft

Yes you can but not as a rookie, has to be put on senior list or risk not getting him in rookie draft
