1- Conduct

1.1 All coaches, moderators, administrators & viewers of the Footy Fanatic League.
Must respect other people. Race, Ethnicity, Nationality, Sexual comment or any other abuse directed at a player’s Ethnic, cultural or religious background will not be tolerated and is punishable by warning, suspension or permanent suspension from the game depending upon severity.

1.2 A coach cannot be pressured to do anything. If that coach doesnt wish to trade a player then that is how it will stay. Any abuse of a coach should be directly told to the forum administrator

1.3 Any users who constantly post/make topic titles in capital letters will be suspended

2- Game

2.1 Each week coaches are asked to put in a team of they're best 22 players.
In their respected positions (Back,Center,Forward & Ruck).
The administrator will then simulate the games using the program
(FOOTY FANATIC FX).
The outcome of the game is depended on how good your players are and also
the computer.
The results will be posted up on the matchday forum after they are completed.

2.2 If for any reason the administrator cannot simulate the games,
then he will elect either a active coach or another senior moderator to do
simulate the games.

2.3 If a player is injured/reported it will be shown with the end match results.
That player must then not be used for the period shown.

2.4 The brownlow will be at the end of the season aswell as the FFL Rising Star Award (best young player), coaches award and All Australian. They will be judged by the administrator at the end of the home and away season. The coaches award will be voted on by the current coaches, based on performance, activity and helpfulness with the site.

2.5 Finals will be played according to the current AFL system

3 - Off Season

The draft order will be in the order you finished the season off..
16th = 1st pick
15th = 2nd pick
14th = 3rd pick ....

If a side wins less than 5 games for the year they will gain a pick at the start of the 2nd round.

If they win less than 5 games for 2 years in a row they will gain a pick at the start of the first round.

Retired players will be announced the week following the FFL Grand Final.
All list's will be updated after that with current players and how much room you have left to recruit players..

At anytime no team must go over the 44 player limit.

Salaries will also be included in this game. They will start off as the current Footy Fanatic Salaries ($6000k).

1.Retirees Announced

2.Trade Period

3.Re-Sign Players (This can be done throughout season but must be finalised before National Draft)

4.National Draft

5.Pre-Season Draft

6.Rookie Draft

7.Finalise Lists

Trade Period
Any combination of players and draft picks may be traded in the trade period. Keep in mind that out-of-contract players can be traded but will need to be re-signed or traded by the club they go to. Salary must be kept in mind when trading as if you are over the salary cap you will need to de-list highly paid players and pay out half of their salary to make room in the cap.

Re-Sign Players
Out-of-Contract players must be re-signed or delisted at this point. The salary will be announced in the re-signing thread and coaches can choose who to keep and who to sack. Keep in mind the salary cap, and also you must de-list minimum 3 players

National Draft
This is where you recruit the best 18 year olds in the country. There will be a draft nominee thread which will include age, position and overall, in which you will post each of your picks. There will be a time limit on each pick and if you exceed it you will have a pick taken automatically for you. Each side must make at least 3 picks in the draft. The order will be reverse ladder positions and there will be 80 nominees in total.

Priority Picks - If a club wins less than 5 games in a season, they get a priority pick at the start of the 2nd round. If they win under 5 games 2 years in a row, the 2nd year they get a priority pick at the start of the 1st round.

Pre-Season Draft
This is your last chance to sign up any delisted players, rookies or discarded draft nominees before the season starts. The players requested salary will be 75% of what it was at their previous club and they will go on automatic 2 year deals.

Rookie Draft
Here you can pick up any players who nominate for the rookie draft. They are free to the salary cap and you can have up to 6 rookies, depending on your senior list size. Altogether you can have a maximum of 44 players on your list.

Finalise List
If you are over the salary cap or have too many players you must delist them here. You must already have the minimum number of players on your list (38) coming into this stage.

4 - Out of Contract Players

4.1 Out of contract players must be re-signed or delisted before the start of the National Draft. The price they cost will be decided by the admin and will be put up in the appropriate thread.

4.2 The set price only goes for a 2 year contract. For each additional year the coach must add 15k to the salary, or add 20k for a 1 year contract. The maximum contract length is 4 years.

5 - Rookies

5.1 A club can have up to 6 rookies on their list per year, depending on the number of senior players.

5.2 Rookies are placed on no salary 1 year contracts

5.3 After the first season each club will only be allowed a maxium of 6 rookies depending on the amount of veterans on the list.

No veterans = 6 rookies
One veteran = 5 rookies
Two veterans = 4 rookies

5.4 The rookies that are not retained will then become the players for the first draft along with delisted players this will allow 2 seasons to be played without making up new players

6 - Player Improvement

6.1 All players 22 and under at the start of they year will go up 1 overall rating point for every 5 games they play. Then they will increase at the end of they year according to age:

18-4 points
19-4 points
20-4 points
21-4 points
22-4 point
23-4 point

6.2 Players will also lose ability with age. This will only happen at the end of each season according to the following ages at start of year:

28-3 points
29-3 points
30-3 points
31-4 points
32-4 points
33-4 points
34-5 points
35-5 points

6.3 Players under 21 will also improve 1 rating point per every 2 Pre-season/ challenge games

6.4 The national draft will also have an element of luck to it. This is how the overall of each group of players will be randomly changed:

1-10: 1 player -10, 1 player +7
11-20: 1 player +8, 1 player +6, 1 player -6, 1 player -8
21-40: 1 player +12, 1 player +10, 1 player +8, 1 player -8, 1 player -10, 1 player -12
41-60: 2 players +15, 2 players -15, 1 player + 25, 1 player -10
61-80: 1 player +25, 1 player +20, 1 player +15

7 Pre-Season Cup

7.1 Pre-Season will run prior to normal season consisting of 4 rounds once a team loses they go into challenge matches. all teams must participate

7.2 An incentive for the pre-season cup is that the winner of the final will be able to improve 3 players on there team

1 player by 4 rating points
1 player by 3 rating points
1 player by 2 rating points

the runner up will get to improve 2 players

1 player by 2 rating points
1 player by 1 rating point
