It took a while for S15 to get done, but I figure that the Invision I look after is better for it. As I say, we could've ended up shifting and getting it all again, so IMHO it was a bit of a no brainer really. One thing I did notice was that every time there was an attack and the server brought back online again, the severity of the attacks weren't as bad and they didn't last as long. The worst we seem to get now is a little lag occasionally, but it's not all that noticeable, even for the people using Internet Explorer, where they used to be the worst affected. I suggested to some members they use firefox too because that would work well while IE crashed, so maybe that's an idea here too, I figured at least I could access the forum and then the support forum from there, I didn't have the support forum bookmarked then, so it was handy still being able to get into the Invision forum ... I think you'll find now there's been a few of these attacks, they won't be as bad, or last for as long as they did when they first started, it's still a PITA when it happens though eh ... |

I hate IE. Firefox is the best browser. |
