This site is new in the most literal sense of the word, but it has potential.  The history's not done yet, but here's a brief overview:Set in the Fourth Age, in a world where the Dragon Reborn resealed the Dark One's prison before he was able to break free, making the Last Battle less of a battle and more of a single, triumphant act for the Light. That does not mean everything was smooth and easy, of course. The Dragon Reborn and the forces of the Light still had to fight the Forsaken and the armies of the Shadow. In this battle, the Dragon Reborn was killed by Moridin, but all the Forsaken were burned out and killed as well. This was 100-200 years ago (a final decision on time hasn't been reached yet). Darkfriends still exist, and are a major part of the workings of the world. Most people believe that the Mandarbi a'Rahien (Blades of Dawn) is the faction that grew up out of what was left over of the Children of the Light. In reality, this is a faction made up entirely of dedicated Darkfriends. Publicly, they hold to ideals very similar to those of the Children of the Light, so as to continue the belief that their faction is decended from the Children. The Towers there are set up in a way very similar to here. They have joined forces, and are equal to each other. At this point, the Black Tower doesn't have anything like an Ajah system, but I'm not sure whether that's in the works or not. Anyway, you should check it out, it looks like it'll be fun. An interesting balance of Light and Shadow that, while not uncommon, is not often done very well. I think this site has the potential to be a very interesting, fun balance. Well done, if they continue the way they're going ((Anyone remember Secrets and Shadows from a long time ago? The balance of Light and Shadow they had there is sort of the vibe I get from Fourth Age.)) The Fourth Age |
