Aes Sedai of the Green Ajah, Lost during the War
|
After two years as an Aes Sedai, Farina had finally given up wearing her green-fringed shawl on every occasion and did not feel exposed walking the corridors of the Black Tower without it. She did wear a dress of fine silk that almost shined in the purest hue of emerald green, disturbed only by some black embroidery on the sleeves and the hem imitating a spiked vine. A few black hair pins with small emeralds kept her hair in a bun. She liked looking her best, but she was not as flashy as some Greens. Mostly because she was too young an Aes Sedai to have collected such an impressive amount of jewellery that the older Greens often had. She did have a few chains and rings but she only wore one at a time with her Great Serpent ring. Indeed, she was a young Aes Sedai, still learning. She was not the newest sister anymore, but she was still the weakest. She was quite sure that she always would be, which was not a nice thought. At least she really was learning and the sisters were more often than not willing teachers. And now she had even begun a rather promising co-operation with a young Aman Val. Having that kind of connection to the Black Tower was something she was sure she would cherish during her career as an Aes Sedai. For a change, it was nothing romantic. Farina had a few constant admirers elsewhere and a good relationship with a young man who would become her Warder as soon as he finished his training. Farina was on her way to see her new Aman Val friend when a surprising sight stopped her in her tracks. |

Asha'man al'Dieb Cha, Lost during the War
|
A sheet of golden blonde hair swayed as Edeleas walked down the halls of the Black Tower, his handsome ageless face as blank and neutral as a piece of paper. His clothes were plain and austere robes of black, with bell sleeves decorated with golden dragons that twined and entwined with each other. His buttons were of the same gold, plain and undecorated. He had come from a journey from Rhuidean, but none were supposed to know that, at least. There were much plans in his mind, and for one, was of course the observation of this new M'Hael that had replaced Rialt. Not that it was an inconvenient move, really. Rialt was a very valuable asset. The most lethal bodyguard in the world, surpassing even a Gaidin. He had been minding his own business, walking, his thoughts set toward the Practice Yards, where he was being waited for by his Gaidar, Myara. There had been many spots of trouble regarding his Gaidar - for one, he didn't want her involved in most of his businesses, but sometimes the bloody woman insisted on accompanying him, and when he'd leave her she would send a great flare of annoyance through the Bond that would be enough to irk him for the rest of the day. His bad mood didn't go unwasted though - there were more than enough Fades to make sure he channeled his anger productively. A gaze. Edeleas automatically stopped walking and looked up, finding Farina Aileen standing not far from him, openly staring at him. She was Aes Sedai now, and as he'd expected, she was of the Green Ajah. He gave her an acknowledging but still neutral nod. After all, they had a son. |

Aes Sedai of the Green Ajah, Lost during the War
|
Long time, no see. Farina had not seen Edeleas in years now. They had barely said a word to each other after she had returned to the Tower from Cairhien. Now she was an Aes Sedai, their little... adventure all those years ago had lost its meaning. No one could do anything about it anymore had they found out. She could not be kicked out of the Tower even though she had been pregnant. Farina would have kept herself away from the man even if he had been around more because she wanted no one to realize that they had that connection of a child. But she could not say that she was totally indifferent. She was a bit curious where the Asha'man had been. No, she was curious whether or not he had seen their child. No, I don't want to know. It was still painful. She knew she would never be a mother to him. Edeleas stopped as well but said nothing, just nodded. Annoyed, Farina pursed her lips a bit. She was an Aes Sedai, she knew she should not be pouting, but she did not think that the serene mask was the best way to go all the time. This was an encounter of a personal nature and Farina would not be shy to let Edeleas know how she felt. "Not even a good day? Congratulations, maybe? Do you not wish to know how I am doing?" |

"Not even a good day? Congratulations, maybe? Do you not wish to know how I am doing?" That was surprising. Edeleas blinked one, twice, thrice at the young Aes Sedai before squaring his shoulders a bit more and spreading his hands open in a friendly gesture. His robe's hems swirled a bit by his boot heels, which were still gritty and muddy in a way. He would have to remember to clean them later. "If it is the trend now to pout, then all right, congratulations, good day, and how are you doing?" This was highly amusing, to say the least. Not that of course he was ignorant of what had happened mostly to this young woman as she climbed her ranks up the White Tower. |

Aes Sedai of the Green Ajah, Lost during the War

The man just blinked at her for a while. Farina had to fight back the urge to roll her eyes. She did sigh slightly when the Asha'man made an exaggerated gesture of friendliness. "If it is the trend now to pout, then all right, congratulations, good day, and how are you doing?" Farina did not appreciate his tone, but at least he asked. "Thank you, and good day to you too," she answered, her smile only slightly forced. "I am doing quite well. Being an Aes Sedai is remarkably more enjoyable than being an Accepted." She did not mention that she was still being pushed around because she was the weakest of the Greens, and forever would be. But otherwise Aes Sedai-hood was everything she had imagined. She did not point out that she had reached that rank in spite of their adventure. Yet. "I am happy to see my days filled with the perfect amount of important tasks and leisure." "How are you doing?" She wondered if Edeleas was capable of a civilized and respectful conversation. She half expected him to do anything but answer the question. |

"Thank you, and good day to you too," she answered, her smile only slightly forced. "I am doing quite well. Being an Aes Sedai is remarkably more enjoyable than being an Accepted. I am happy to see my days filled with the perfect amount of important tasks and leisure." And it also means that you have grown quite useful. No tool is dispensable in the Great Lord's cause, no matter how small - the only difference is that the tools of the Great Lord fight for rank and power, having minds of our own, but that is another story entirely because most of the tools get discarded in the vicious competition. She might have use for him nowadays, but he could not see that right now. Of course he relatively knew of her standing in her own Ajah - it was strange, but he did keep an eye on her, what eye or attention he could spare of course; she was still the mother of a son he never knew. Who knows, the boy might even find himself in the Black Tower one of these days. Edeleas would not even recognize or know him. "How are you doing?" He tilted his head to the right and eyed her in this particular manner that never failed to make a woman blink twice at him and maybe even make her heart skip a beat. Edeleas had been well-known in his youth for his looks, no matter how idiotic and stupid he had been - and the ages only intensified his charm, and his secrets fortified it. "Studying an angreal that a colleague created. But I don't think you will be interested in objects of the One Power. May I inquire as to what your purpose is here at our humble tower?" He said instead. |

Edeleas gave her a very... thorough look. This time Farina did keep her face totally immobile. It did remind her why exactly she had been so willing that night. Well, alcohol did do most of the work, but it wasn't all. "Studying an angreal that a colleague created." He can be civilized! "But I don't think you will be interested in objects of the One Power. May I inquire as to what your purpose is here at our humble tower?" A short answer, with a rather intruding question at the end, but an answer nonetheless. Truth be told, Farina was not too interested in all objects of the Power, true, but she was rather interested in anything that would help her wield more destruction. Her Talents helped little, as did her strength in the One Power. So she was very interested in angreal, actually. If she for some reason ever wanted to chat with Edeleas, she did have one topic that would interest them both. However, at the moment she could not think of a reason. "I am hoping to see a friend of mine here," she answered simply to his question. "We have some mutual business," she elaborated in a tone that discouraged further inquiries. It was business of her own and Edeleas had little right to butt in. "Will you be staying in the Tower now?" she asked. She couldn't think of anything better to say. |

"I am hoping to see a friend of mine here," she answered simply to his question. "We have some mutual business, Will you be staying in the Tower now?" A ghost of a smile flitted upon Edeleas' pale lips, but he did not comment. He had his hands on his hips, and the movement made his golden hair dance a moment. "A name would be helpful, or a Shen. I'm feeling generous today and are up for a walk." He started walking, knowing she would follow. He kept his steps slow, just taking his time, so they could talk more. A Soldier rounded the corner and spotted them; for a moment the hapless idiot paled and seemed to resemble a cornered rat before ducking into the nearest corridor he could reach. Edeleas grunted. He had long since dropped the office of Master of Soldiers, but still his fame preceded him; all newer members of the Black Tower knew to fear him. Remeian was not doing anything to correct that; he wondered what the bloody blazes was the man up to. "And yes." Edeleas said, delayed reply come at last. "I will be staying in the Tower. For now." |

"A name would be helpful, or a Shen." Farina remained silent. It was none of his business to even ask. "I'm feeling generous today and are up for a walk." Not even waiting for Farina's approval or nod, he just started walking. Farina pursed her lips again, but followed. Light, truth be told, Edeleas was still her senior and more respected in the Towers. Farina was all but obliged to do whatever he wanted. Not that she would. But at least in public she would have to show a meek attitude. In private, he should not get his hopes up. A soldier appeared and all but ran away as soon as he saw Edeleas. That brought a small smile to Farina's lips. The soldiers and Dedicated still remembered him. They did not seem to fear Remeian as such. Farina had kept an eye on the man because of his... friendship with Mirazhe and he had proven to be quite a gentleman. Unlike Edeleas. "And yes." Edeleas said, finally. "I will be staying in the Tower. For now." Well, since Edeleas was keen on prying, Farina did not feel hesitant to try the same approach. "Any particular reason for that?" |

"Any particular reason for that?" A younger Asha'aman, who had been walking the other way, gave a quick nod at Edeleas and hurried off. The treatment almost brought a low purr from the Dieb Cha's lips. It bloody helps, doesn't it? It bloody helps. He thought, more to himself. "Angreal." came the short but precise reply. (ooc - eek it's short, but i dunno what else to say D: ) |

A young Asha'man nearly escaped from the corridor when he saw Edeleas. Farina shook her head to herself. Well, it was not that uncommon. There were some older Aes Sedai that Farina all but ran away from even as an Aes Sedai. If they got their hands on you, you just knew they were up to something unpleasant. "Angreal," the man answered. And that was it. And I thought we were having a conversation. If Edeleas did not wish to elaborate, Farina would not pry. After all, she wasn't willing to answer some of his inquiries either. "Interesting. Have you met the new Master of Soldiers? Or the new M'hael?" Edeleas would surely have an opinion on the new lead of the Black Tower. Maybe he was even willing to share them. |
