It seemed like a very long time since Amore had found herself in the classrooms of the adjoined towers. Of course, they hadn't been here but a few years, the new classrooms being built between the two towers as a shared common area. Today Amore had logged out a private room with the Mistress of Novice's to teach in. She was doing a rather off of the common studies class today with a soldier from the Black Tower, and didn't care for spectators or listeners. They wouldn't make much headway without being able to speak freely. Walking through the hallways of the classrooms, Amore smiled as she saw group of young men and women on their way to or from studies. Men and women, as it should be, as it had been, as it was now together in the same space. The Age of Legends had faded in most people's minds, especially since the rediscovering of many lost weaves, however this Sister was old enough to remember when Traveling was but a fancy. Amore wore a form fitting deep blue dress with a simple V neck and wide cuffs. The hem of the dress flowed two feet behind her as she walked, her heeled slippers peeking from beneath her dress. When she had entered the Tower the heels were in hot fashion, they were now a common sight among higher levels of society. Amore found the room she sought, and on the outside of the door hung a slim blue chain around the door handle, to signal which room her pupil was to come. She wasn't sure how she would go about this, but she had accepted the task and wanted to help this young man find beauty in his new found gift. The classroom was large, designed for twenty plus students and a teacher with space to move. The furnaces that roared deep beneath the building heated all the rooms, and this one felt pleasant and not so unused. The windows were done in bright white curtains and allowed for much illumination from the mid day sun. Amore could recall a time when classrooms had to be cleaned with the Power and heated before use because there were so few Aes Sedai, but these days one had to book a classroom out two weeks in advance. Things really were better, so much so. Amore found herself in the room early with little to do, she pulled out her silk bag that she often carried around with her over one shoulder, and removed several large volume books. Dhai looked about his new room and sighed. It was bigger than his wagon had been in the troupe, but it was still too small for Zere. And her new cage was positively tiny. The Asha’man who had enrolled him in the Tower had assured him that arrangements would be made for the tiger, and Dhaimyn didn’t understand how a tiny cage that Zere could hardly take a step in counted as arrangements. At least he didn’t have to share the room with another soldier; the Asha’man had decided that would be unwise, considering the fact that Dhai refused to let Zere out of his sight. Dhai turned to Zere with a sigh, noticing the way she was already eyeing the cage with distrust. “I’m sorry, love.” He told her, stroking a hand down her orange and black forehead. “We’ll have to make do.” He didn’t like the idea of leaving her, but the Asha’man that had brought the cage and news of some sort of lesson had been adamant. Zere was to stay behind, lest her presence offend his new teacher’s sensibilities. Trying not to let that comment get to him, Dhai reached down and unlatched the cage. He motioned toward it with a quick hand signal, and could almost feel Zere’s stare on his face. He wanted her to go into that? He could feel her confusion and irritation starkly in the back of his mind, and tried not to sigh. “Zere.” He said firmly, and she stepped forward, careful not to tuch him while she slinked past and into the cage. “So you’re annoyed with me now?” Dhai bit his lip, and shut the door after her. “If it was my choice, Zere, you’d stay in the gardens.” The tiger was hardly suitable for life inside a tower, but no one seemed to believe him. All of the Asha’men treated Zere as if she was an overgrown housecat. He could understand that she was no threat to them, but that did not make her any less of a predator. Frankly, it made him angry. “See you soon.” He told her, speaking over his shoulder as he headed toward the door. Dhai didn’t want to leave Zere alone; he had seen some of the other soldiers watching her, and he knew what that meant. It happened often enough at the troupe; some customer would sneak over to the cages and torment the animals. They’d throw rocks at the monkeys, poke the wolf with sticks... Dhai didn’t want to see that happen to Zere, especially when soldiers likely had far worse methods of torment up their sleeves, but he had no choice. None of the Asha’men that had spoke to him insinuated any sort of punishment if he didn’t follow their directions, but Dhai didn’t trust them. He didn’t want Zere to die just because he dared take her along with him to some sort of lesson. Dhai stepped out into the hallway, closing the door behind him. It took him a while to find the right classroom, as he still wasn’t used to the layout of the place. The Towers seemed more complicated then they had to be, and Dhai found himself asking for directions twice. When he finally arrived at the door he hoped was the right classroom, Dhai paused a moment before reaching for the doorknob. Who had they decided should teach him? He hoped they weren’t trying to make him learn saidin; Dhai had no wish to hurt anyone, even the hated people of the Towers, and channeling would only do that. He didn’t like the marath damane, and liked the Asha’men considerably less. They should be leashed or dead, respectively. But Dhai should be dead too, and he didn’t quite know what to think anymore. He opened the door, and stepped into the classroom. Dhai stared at the ground while he shut it behind him, and steeled himself before he looked up. A woman in blue sat before him, and Dhai knew what she was. “Aes Sedai.” Edited by Dhaimyn Reovike, Jan 30 2009, 11:23 PM.

Amore was thumbing through the pages of one of the larger books, The Second Cleansing of Saidin, notes by Cadsuane Sedai. She was still amazed at the things that had happened in the world right as she had been born. So much turmoil, and yet somehow it had not touched her for some fifteen years later. Amore was thinking about the past now, something she did not particularly enjoy. It reminded her of the time clock on her life. Even had she lived twelve Aes Sedai lives, she doubted her thirst for life could ever be quenched. She loved every minute of the breathe god had given her, and she found in that her silent stone of strength. Amore was reading over the part about the use of two massive ter'angreal, one for saidar and the other for saidin. Never had she dreamed such a raw amount of power could be existent in this world without ripping apart the ones who wielded it. An attempted handle turning was the only warning that someone was about to enter the room. Amore looked up from one of the seats and desk she had claimed to see a young man walk into the room. His appearance was the first thing to startle her, to no visual avail. She noted in her mind his bloodline, Seanchan, and richly inherited their traits. The boy had an odd wildness about him Amore could not finger, but it wasn't an unnerving thing. "Aes Sedai" he breathed as he finally looked up from his downcast head to meet Amore's sparkling eyes. Amore looked into the pale green eyes, and smiled a warm, personal smile. "My name is Amore, and you may call me Amore Sedai, you are Dhaimyn Reovike, Soldier of the Black Tower, aren't titles fun?" Amore's smile was playful. "How are you finding your life in the Tower so far? Things must be difficult, adjusting and all." Amore closed the book before her as she spoke, giving the young man her undivided attention. She motioned for him to amke himself comfortable, noticing his feline like movements. She had been warned about this one. He had come to the Tower, bonded to a large cat. While Amore was very unsure of how such a thing worked, she kept this little detail on the back burner of her mind. She knew animals, and no matter how docile they appeared, they were wild at heart.
