Amore entered the large classroom, designed to give space to all occupants so that they could have room to use the hands to assist in training. There was an area in the front like a dais, raised stone two steps above the rest for the teacher to stand and give lessons from. The architecture carried the voice of the one on the stage, allowing even those children in the back the ability to hear, truly an inspired idea. The Tower had come a long way.

She was to teach her second class since she returned to the Tower, this one being more conventional than her previous interaction. Amore did not need books for this class, it was a subject she was well studied on and had many years of practice in.

Finding the Source was the beginning of a very long road to becoming an Aes Sedai, or at the least move on with one's life. Amore would not take this class for granted, she appreciated the fact that she would be the first to talk to this woman in a formal structured One Power class.

Channeling was out of everyday life experiences for most people, and until one became use to it, it was a different manner of being for them. It may have been many years since Amore's first channeling, but the feeling was still the same, one of few constants.

Today there would be just one student, and herself. It was usually better one on one with this class, and having a comfortable surrounding, such as this open well decorated room.

Placing a blanket on the ground the Aes Sedai pulled over some large pillows brought up by a serving man, to sit on. She smilled at the warm yellow and brown fabric with green, blue, and red tassels. The stitching alternated White, and Gray. Even here, all Ajah's found representation.

Amore took her seat pulling out a small pad, writing her thoughts.

Dalyiena forced herself to keep from breaking into a run. True, she was less capable of feeling emotions than your average woman -- she was probably colder inside than half the Aes Sedai in the Tower -- but she had thus far been unable to set the coolness reign on the butterflies in her stomach. She sighed, unable to think of anything in thw world that could possibly cause this kind of anxiety. But she refused to give into it. Honestly, it wasn't as though she was actually late. So what good would it do her to run around in a feet-stomping race? She would only achieve to get an Aes Sedai's attention, and very likely some switching. She was able to feel physical pain, after all.

She finally found the classroom where she was to meet her new teacher. She was unsure whether she had actually met the Aes Sedai or not -- Dayilena had been in the Tower for less than a week, and was nowhere near through meeting every woman and man who inhabited the place. She reached for the doorknob and stopped.

Dayilena had been sick for years. The Yellow Sister who had seen to her when she had first arived had explained to her that reason for her ailment was that she had been supressing her ability to channel. Apparently, she could have actually died from it. She did not want to die. She needed to get over her illness in order to live, and get over it she would. It would be harder than it sounded, though. The Yellow Aes Sedai had also informed Dayilena that she had a block. She was physically unable to channel normally, and would only achieve it under special circumstances.

Today was probably going to be the begining of finding those circumstances and making it that she was always able to channel, like normal people. She reveled on being different from the rest of the world, but not if it was going to kill her.

And so smoothing her brand new white dress, she closed her hand around the knob and opened the door.

Dalyiena's eyes went to the dais at the far end of the room, but no one was sitting atop it. She searched and finally found a woman sitting on the floor. The novice took in the unimportant details first -- the rest of the pillows, the colourful blanket -- and finally settled on her teacher's blonde mane, and finally on her lovely grey eyes. Dayilena started, realizing she was staring, and dropped into cursty, as she had seen the other novices do.

"Amore Sedai," she muttered, pleased at herself for remembering her name. "Good evening. Is this the right classroom?"

Amore had begun to grow bored, sitting alone writing, and after making a few notes for later study, she began to play a simple game of dots on the paper. She was about halfway through, when the door began to open. A young woman entered, a little more sure of herself than most novices. She did not balk or look starry eyed, she was herself, however brooding she appeared at moments.

Amore appreciated that, it was a gift of age, or having lived a rough life. Sometimes, as in most cases, it was some of both. The girl spoke an managed a legitimate bow.

Amore had requested this class, she had an interest in blocks, and had found the challenge to tempting to allow it to pass. She did not know the exact nature or cause of the Block, but by days end she was hoping to have things in working order. She was a woman of goals, and however impossible it seemed, she was ready to push herself, and the girl before her, to that point.

She smiled warmly at the girl, gesturing to the seating area she had arranged. "Welcome Dayilena, you have found your way here quite well. I hope things are going smoothly for you so far, I know what a change it is. The accommodations aren't the richest, but I do hope you find yourself in some comfort. You are welcome here, child. You are now a part of our family, my family, every Sister and Brother present; and it is my pleasure to be the one to welcome you into our heart today."

Amore meant every word. Today was the day Dayilena lost herself, Amore would break the girl down to framework if she had to, this block was coming down. And once it was down, she was on her way to becoming Aes Sedai, never again to be the young woman she had once been. The young woman who now stood before her It would only take once, and then it would be broken, but how long would it take? Some had taken minutes, others months. It was a boast though, none had been left blocked in her memory or those before her.

Odds were greatly in her favor in this.

Dayilena would have smiled if, first of all, she had felt like it and second of all, if the woman she was standing in front of had not been an Aes Sedai. No indeed, she would have said out loud but kept to herself. The accomodations are far from rich. But truth be told, I had lived in worse. And trully, Dayilena had no complains about her room. It had a bed. What was there to complain about? The only feature of her room which she was growing to abhor was that bloody hole on the wall. She could hear Novices gossiping all night long, and that was when they weren't crying. Thus far, she had never engaged in such meaningless exchanges, nor had she shed tears of her own.

"Thank you, Amore Sedai, for the sentiment. Everything has been going well indeed" she said half-truthfully. Amore Aes Sedai of the Blue Ajah may say that Dayilena was part of the White Tower family -- and such a big and happy family it apparently was -- but she was finding it hard enough to always remember to curtsy, to keep everyone's titles in order and most important of all, to keep friendly to all the Novices. So as not to call attention to herself of course.

Dayilena sat on the cushion opposite the Aes Sedai, crosslegged but trying her best to make her dress reach all the way over her knees. Then it hit Dayilena that she had not brought with her anything to take notes with. She suddenly felt unprepared and even more nervous then before, but she tried not to let any of that show on her face. She was unsure whether or not she succeeded at it. "I'm afraid I have no writing implements with me," she admitted, somehow managing to make it sound like she was ashamed, but not overly. "I was not sure if a class such as this included any...note-taking. "I have never taken a saidar class before, I don't know..." she started, and realized she was beginning the process of babbling, so she shut her mouth and waited to see what was to happen next.

Amore watched as the girl sat, her skirts not wide enough to accommodate her quite as well as Amore's own divided riding dress. She should have thought of that, but were the girl to sit on her heels it would be okay. She seemed bright enough, she would figure it out.

Amore smiled, it had been so long since she had started at the Tower that she forgot a little of what it must be like for the Novice. Handing the pad she had been playing on earlier over to the young woman with a quill and ink jar, sand bottle neatly attached to the side, Amore spoke warm words.

"I do not require notes, but if you feel they will help, then, by all means, write down anything you think will help you. I will let you know now, notes that you take will be burned at the time of your testing, by that time you should know all you need to without a card.

That is still a while away though, so no need worry about it now."

Amore was unsure how to bring up her next topic, but it had to be talked about.

"The Mistress of Novice's has told me a little about you, although it's not much. I know your name, I know you have Blocked yourself. I know that you are new, and quiet. Now, what I don't know is who you are, what you are about, where you've been.

It has been my privilege to serve the Tower and it is my wish to show you the life for which you are now headed. I want to get to know you, and I want you to feel free to talk to me, so to start off this thing, ask me a question, any question you have, and then I'll ask you one. We can do this as long as you like, my schedule is cleared for the foreseeable future. "
