Androus had a book tucked beneath one arm and his quarter staff in the other as he walked among the grounds of the combined Towers. He had been in the library, minding his own buisness catching up on some reading when he had noticed that Aes Sedai again. She seemed to have twins, had he not also seen her watching from a high balcony in the training yard this morning? The feel of it was almost spooky. Why would she be following him? Perhaps just coincidence? Maybe, except this wasn't the only encounter with the woman. For nearly the past sixth to eleven months he had seen her in varying degrees, although of late she was much more prominent. The feel of being stalked was not something this man was used to, and the age of the Sister whom he thought about was even more frightening in it's simple truth. She was a member of the Blue's, as sure as sunrise, he had seen her in other colors, but always Blue was the only of the seven Ajah colors to be present. While she was beautiful, and made his blood want to gush to his extremities, he found himself intimidated by her. His thoughts had taken half his sight away, and now as he rounded a curve in the walkway among the garden, he saw her standing there, beautiful in her simple yet finely cut sky blue dress. His breath was taken from him, as if punched in the diaphragm. He had no where to go unless he turned around and ran. Instead, he dropped a deep bow and spoke casually. "Good morning Aes Sedai, I hope the Light find you well today?" By the star's, it surely looked as if it had found her much more than well. Edited by Androus Mordin, Feb 9 2009, 01:05 PM.

War. It was on every tongue in the Tower, and Amore had no childish discolorations of honor and grandeur, war was murder, and murder was wrong. However, wrong it may be, it did not stop the fact that Amore may have to one day put her life in the way of danger, although that was true at any time for Aes Sedai, it was more so during war. She had been without a bond mate for nearly forty years, and Iyan's death had only five years ago stopped waking her in night terror. Her third warder, and one of the best men she had ever met. She had promised herself no more after him, but now it seemed time would have her go back on her word. She had been about this for nearly two years, searching the gaidin ranks for one who might be suitable. Most of the men were bright, but bright was not enough. Amore needed someone she could be on the same level field with, someone who would know what she wanted without having to say so. She needed someone who could be there own person, and at the same time still serve her. She had found a man those two years ago who met most of her criteria, even down to his thirst for knowledge. Since then she had been keeping a careful eyes out, only within the past eight months allowing him to catch sight of her. She wanted him to get used to her, and wonder at her reasoning. This way he'd be more inclined to talk to her, allow her to get the information she so wanted. So, here she was in the garden awaiting his arrival; she had seen him twice today, and he her. She had wanted him to see her, which was why she had not used a sight warding, as she had in the early months. She did not have long to wait before the man turned the corner before her. His eyes went wide but for a moment and then he dropped a bow. "Good morning to you Youngling. I am well enough, and you?" Amore smiled her voice pleasant. "Come let us talk, I do admit, I have been waiting for this." With that Amore made her way over to a near bench, motioning for the man to sit beside her. Edited by Amore, Feb 9 2009, 02:07 PM.

Androus was surprised by the Aes Sedai's words, and the warmth of her personality that was apparent in her tone and demeanor made him like the woman all the more. He felt something inside of himself loosening, allowing her through his primary defences. He followed her to the bench at a respectful distance, sitting only after she did. He could tell she was impressed by his manners, but at the same time she seemed as if she had only been right in her coming to him today. Suddenly he felt as if things were not in his control here. Something underlying the pleasant meeting had him tense across his back. She wanted something. "I am doing fairly well Sister. I cannot complain, this day is not unlike any other, except today I find myself in your lovely company. Tell me what may I be of assistance in this day?" He was more polite than necessary, but he was asking about her personal buisness, and he didn't want to offend. The day was beautiful. It was nearly 74 degrees by his estimation and the light breeze was refreshing rather than the usual chill that still clung close to the passing of winter. The sun shone bright on them in the opening of the canopy in the garden warming them with it's heat. The birds sang their peaceful tunes, and in them Androus found himself relaxed, and at peace inside and out. He took in the way the light played on her pale glowing mane of hair, and her delicate features swirling in that ageless face. Having spend much time among the Sister's he could tell a beautiful ageless face from a plane one, and the face he looked into was far from the latter of that scenario. The pale blue of her silk dress seemed to move without doing so in the breeze and sunlight. "May I inquire as to what your name might be, Aes Sedai?" Edited by Androus Mordin, Feb 9 2009, 02:25 PM.

Amore's voice was light, full of of her warm personality. She had forgotten the man had no clue as to her name. In all her watching she had never once introduces herself. It was an odd feeling for her, she felt she already knew him so well. "My name, Gaidin, is Amore Sedai, and as I am sure you are no fool, I have in truth been keeping an eyes on you. This day is so lovely and I decided in the feelings that I have adapted for the day, to approach you and if you will allow, tell you a bit about myself." Amore smiled warmly as Androus motioned for her to continue, after all he wouldn't tell a Sister he didn't care to listen, much less one who was so charming. "My name is Amore Le'fay and I am from Amadicia, although it has been a very long time since I called the place home. I was a trainee of the children and future High Seat of House Le'fay, and I have heard rumor you were once one of the Children? I am a Sister of the Blue Ajah and I have served the Tower for more years than your parents lived to see. Being of the Blue I have my cause, my true passion, and it is and always will be children. I have traveled far in my endeavors, and there are a many a well rounded person who to this day thanks me for the work my orphanages and schools have done. For you see, Androus, that is my purpose. I help those children who have nothing, no one, no where. My life's work is these children, and the Tower. I have had no children of my own, but I feel just as a mother. My actions have always been dictated for by my conscience. I am a woman who values the educated mind, and the good in people. I have come to see, that you are a good wise man. I have watched you for two years, and it is my conclusion Androus Gaidin, that I would very much like to learn more of you, and then I would like to offer to you myself, as a bond mate. I will be the bond holder, and you the Warder, as it should be and as you know it will be. I place my proposition before you, but first tell me your story, and then give me your answer." |

Androus was taken aback for a moment. She wanted to bond him? He was honored, much more so due to her beauty than her status. He was sure his face was read. "My name is Amore Le'fay and I am from Amadicia, although it has been a very long time since I called the place home. She was Aes Sedai she would not lie. The fact that this woman was who she was, had done as she had, lived for what she did was a completely admirable quality in the woman beside him. Her found himself seriously contemplating such a rash decision on his part. But would it be a mistake? Was he jumping into things? No, he did not believe so. In his heart he knew, this was the sort of woman he could spend his life getting to know. "I am Androus Mordin, I was once a trainee of the Children myself, before they became corrupted. I left my home and name to come to the Tower, to become Asha'man so that I may better protect the good in life. To my dismay I was informed I could not channel. After two years of work in the city, I applied to join the Tower. My work in the smithy paid off, my muscles being an advantage in my early years here. I have lived little of life, my mother is a seamstress, my father a Child. I have left everything for them, and soon they will be my enemy. My loyalty is to the Tower, I know the Children are wrong, but it does no make things any easier." Edited by Androus Mordin, Feb 9 2009, 06:22 PM.

Amore was touched by the man's story, and felt for him, what would it have been like to be forced to face her parents on the battlefield newly raised? She could not imagine it for someone who did not go through the rigorous training of Aes Sedai. The fact he remained was a testament to his inner strength. Although now she knew more than before, she still did not know the gaidin's answer. The War was coming, the Pattern was moving, and Amore could wait no longer, the time was now. "So what would you say to our bonding? I promise, your life will be everything you seek and more. My service is not so bad." With that she flashed him a full smile, halting his breath for a moment. |

Androus had bought some time to think, but still had very little in the way of an answer. He liked the woman so far, and if good looks could kill she would be a mass murderer. By many rights this was a chance he may never have again, and when she promised him an eventful life, he knew she was serious. "So what would you say to our bonding? I promise, your life will be everything you seek and more. My service is not so bad." With that she flashed him a full smile, halting his breath for a moment. "Amore Sedai, it would be my honor, but I think I would like a little time to get to know you. Since my studies are my own to decide I will take a break for a time so that we may work together, and see how it goes." Amore nodded at this and Androus found relief. She was not in such a hurry that she would take him now, but she obviously didn't want to wait forever, and for the matter, neither did Androus, after all this was what he had trained for. Suddenly life seemed full of open doors and new experiences, the woman before him like a savior from the hum drum life in the Tower. Androus was excited and nervous. How would this work? He could be polite most of the time, but when they were pressed, how would she react? How would she react to him? "I would also like to gain the consent of the Master of Arm's just to cover all of my bases. It isn't required, but I think it would be polite. Edited by Androus Mordin, Feb 9 2009, 07:02 PM.

Amore's smile was triumphant, she considered this answer as good as an acceptance. She was ecstatic, two years of planning were suddenly coming to fruition. She placed her hand on his, bringing him in in a private way. "Thank you very much Androus, your answer is acceptable, and all I could really ask for." Sitting for a time with her hand on his the two enjoyed the warm laziness of the day. The sun felt great, and the light breeze didn't allow it to be to warm. The birds among the garden mingled with the gardeners and passing student soon brought there private paradise to an end. A group of Accepted rounded the corner, and Amore's hand seemed to just teleport back to her own lap. Amore smiled at the group of girls, and then the group of men who followed them. All of them were going to training lessons by the looks of it. She sighed then, knowing it was time to go. "I am afraid I have things I must do, but feel free to come to my office at any time." Amore removed a note from her sash and handed it to him. He read the notes quickly, and Amore went over it again in her mind. Sister, The barer of this note, one Androus Mordin, is hear by allowed freedom to come to our halls and wait at my door as he wishes. He is a guest of honor of mine, and should be treated as such. Signed, Amore Sedai "I trust to be seeing you soon, the Light be with you sir. Oh, and there is a Ball coming up, for the Master of Arm's daughter, I would be honor if you would be my escort." With that Amore stood and glided away, back toward the higher reaches of the Tower and the duties that called to her. Edited by Amore, Feb 9 2009, 07:26 PM.
