Aes Sedai of the Yellow Ajah
![]()
|
Name: Nyere Sieten Age: 121 Nationality: Altaran Rank: Aes Sedai of Yellow Ajah Appearance Height: 5 ft 6 in, or around 1.65 m Weight: 60 kg Hair color/length: Black Eye color: Storm Grey Nyere Sieten is not really of considerable height, but she has a formidable presence even so. The force of her presence makes her seem much taller than normal people even though she is only around the same height, and quite a bit of the time shorter, than most people. With hair as black as the night, she is not easily discernable thus when the moon is wane and thin. Like all black things, it absorbs all light it touches, and it dims the surroundings with its shadowy touch. Wavy and light, it descends to her waist, and there is lies, smooth and silky, stirring at the touch of a breeze, and seeming to ripple even without any force to disturb it. She is considered to be a beauty, especially considering her hair and her oval face. Her face. It makes men fawn after her. Light seems to radiate out from it, and her expression is perpetually radiant and alight with joy, and even in moments of sadness, her beauty is still profound, and som still find her beautiful in sorrow. With pale skin that is nearly white, her body glows in contrast to the darkness of her hair, which makes her all the more outstanding. She has been compared to the beauty of Lanfear, though she hates to be mentioned in the same sentence as any reference to the Dark. And it is such that the storms in her eyes make men lose their wits completely for a time whenever they see her. When she is angry, which isn't often, clouds boil in her eyes, and they seem to darken from a time, while when she is joyful and gay, her eyes seem to reflect the blue light of the sky. Personality Compassionate in Healing, Nyere Sieten has helped in the orphanages and the soup kitchens that have sprung over the Westlands for the last 100 years or so that Amore Sedai of the Blue Ajah had set up. She sometimes moves out the White Tower and stays in one of the orphanages when there is a call for help whenever an outbreak of disease occurs, as is often in the packed cities of the world. With a bright smile for everyone around her, Nyere is liked by most people that she meets. She is known by those who know her, as the kindly Aes Sedai who ventures out into the real world, and understands their plights and their dreams. As they love her, she loves them, and she does what she can to help those who need her help. She does not seek their adoration though, but instead helps them from the kindness in her heart. In anger and wrath however, Nyere is not to be messed with, even with those above her power, for she is not afraid to confront those in power in anger if she feels righteous. She sometimes however, is quite excessive in her anger, and she has cowed many with the fear of her wrath and consuming anger. In such moods, she feels no fear, only righteousness and anger. One Power Score Current strength: 92 Base strength: 42 Age when started to channel: 17 Age when raised to Dedicated/Accepted: 5 Age when raised to Asha'man/Aes Sedai: 6 Current Age: 121 Flow Affinity Air: 8 Water: 8 Spirit: +10 Earth: 7 Fire: 7 Talents: AOL Healing History She was born a commoner in the streets of Ebou Dar, where the Queen had finally regained control of her far-flung noble states, and was now a very strong ruler, thanks to the aid of the Seanchan, who had used their armies in an attempt to bring the lands under control. However, the Seanchan rule had been overthrown due to the fact that their homeland was in turmoil, and the Westlands took advantage of that fact, rebelling and regaining control with stunning speed. Altara was one such nation. Nyere grew up in the Rahad, as dangerous city still, full of footpads and robbers, and she soon learnt to watch her step, and defend herself using hand to hand combat until help came against whoever was trying to attack her. But she was never allowed out of sight of her family until she had grown agile and quick enough, which meant that she was never alone for one minute of her life until she was over twelve years of age. By then, she had learnt enough martial arts to keep her attacker at bay. Trouble however, came when she was sweet sixteen, and growing and maturing rapidly. Men leered at her on the streets as she walked passed, dressed though she was in woolen clothing. One day, they tried assulting her on the streets, in broad daylight, when she was out of sight of her home. They were about to overwhelm her when something snapped in her, and suddenly they all were thrown back onto nearby walls. When they tried to get up, they found her standing, her face terrible to behold, and in her hand, holding a blazing ball of energy in her hand. They tried to flee, but were stopped as Nyere vented her anger at their attempted abuse of her. Winds dragged them back and tossed them around, dumping some of them in the highest floors of the levels as they shouted and yelled. Others she disposed of by using the ball of energy she held in her hand, stunning them with bolts of energy. By the time she was finished with them, there was no one remaining on the streets. Of course, after her first touch with Saidar, she became extremely tired, and had barely the energy to stagger back into her house and drop on the floor, having fainted. She was catonic for over a week, and by the time she woke up, Aes Sedai had been alerted. She woke up with an Aes Sedai stretched over her face, and she gasped and lashed out, thinking that she had been carried into a hovel of some sort. Fortunately for the Aes Sedai, the Aes Sedai had been told of her predicament and was sort of expecting this, so Nyere missed, and was wrapped in flows of Air before she knew what was happening. She was then told of her ability to channel, leaving her stunned and awed at her newfound talent. But after she was informed that she would have to leave her home, and perhaps never see her family again, Nyere hesitated, before her parents shooed her off to the White Tower, willing to sacrifice their love for the greater good of the World. Enrolled as a Novice, she learnt fast, soaking up knowledge like a dried-up sponge, like a person dying from thirst drinking up clean spring water that has been newly found. She revelled in the potential strength of her power, petted on and commented by the strength she had. Her potential ability was equal to, or greater than, the legends among Aes Sedai. Sapphira, the Amrylin, and Nephuria of the White Ajah. There were not many who could match her when she grew fully into her power, perhaps none. However, this also increased the expectation of Aes Sedai on her, and she felt an increased burden as a result. But she lived up to them, able to hold the Power at will within a month of her arrival, as she was a Wilder, but had no block because she was discovered within a short period of time from its manefestation. It was after 5 years of blazing through her studies, she took the test for Acceptance. The first arch is for what was. She was back at home, knowing that she had an ability to channel. Again she was assaulted by the men who had accosted her on that fateful day she began to channel. She immediately embraced the power and threw them off, but as she was about to teach them a very hard lesson, the arch appeared. Angry and disappointed, she ran through the arch. The second arch is for what is. She was the Healer of the Rahad, one of the Wise Women of the Kin, after she had rejected the test for Acceptance, much to the disappointment of the Aes Sedai of the Tower. She was one of the better Healers around, and she had already treated many in the city. However, there was a serious plague going about the city. Nyere was Aes Sedai, and by virtue of touching the Power, she was not able to contract the disease, even if she tried. But the plague was horribly virulent, and Nyere and the other Kin stationed around the city were rushing hitherto to prevent the plague from spreading any further. Already Nyere was suffering from seven straight days of using the power without any respite, despite coming back home every day, eating an enormous meal, and sleeping immediately after falling on her bed. Her mother contracted the disease in the middle of supper, just as the Arch appeared. Nyere had no choice but to leave, desperate and agitated as she was. The third arch is for what will be. She was Aes Sedai, one of the, if not the, most powerful sister in the White Tower. She now faced an army, led by a powerful renegrade channeler. This was to be the final battle, and she was ready for it. Then, the White Tower gates burst inwards, and Nyere spun around. The renegrade channeler stood there, incinerating troops with Fire and lightning. Nyere ran towards him, her dress swirling and dark hair flying in a wind that was not wind. Aes Sedai and Asha'man fell. She turned to her friend, Airaya, to link, but in her gaze, an arch was forming, over the bridge on the other side, away from the battle. She ran then, ran as hard as she could, tears pouring down her cheeks as she ran through the arch. Nyere was then welcomed once more as an Accepted of the White Tower, now eligible to wear the banded hem white dress, and wear the Great Serpent Ring. Talents she found in the area of Healing, for she was far stronger in Spirit than many, and skilled in the rest of the elements as well. Working hard, she learnt all she could about the Healing of the Power from the Yellow Ajah, and developed an affinity for the body and its ailments that showed her how to heal them. Already she showed much promise, with the Aes Sedai petting her on her immense potential, in both the power and as a Healer, akin to the likes of Sumeko and Nynaeve, the legends of the Healing in the Third Age. Life was more difficult and demanding as an Accepted as well, but she coped fairly well with the stresses, occasionally sent to the Mistress of Novices for cheeking Aes Sedai, when everything became too much, and the rare prank. Her taste for pranks were not malicious, but they showed a rare sense of humor that most Aes Sedai lacked. She made many friends, and few adverseries during her training days. She progressed faster than most, able to grasp the Power as she could during her days, weaving with a speed and skill that not many Accepted could duplicate. She was renoun, and the Novices knew her as the one who would help those in need, patient as always, having a new joke to share with them when it all got too much. It was thus that not too long after her raising to Accepted, about 6 years, she was summoned for the Test of the Shawl, and passed, earning the Shawl and choosing the Yellow Ajah. Nyere worked closely with Amore Le'fay of the Blue Ajah with the schools and orphanages that she opened, going around, offering her services as best she could, caring for the little ones as though they were the children that she never had. Nyere found solace and comfort, raising orphans to become confident adults, sure of their abilities and their talents. Some she discovered had the ability to channel, she sent them on their way to the Tower. The last few years have seen the world undergo turmoil and war, for darkfriends and dreadlords goaded the Golden Alliance into action, waging war against the Alliance of Four. Nyere was among the forefront of the Healers in the White Tower, where the injured were brought to her, and she Healed as many as she could, and sustained the rest by sheer force of will. However, battle raged in the Tower itself as the Wards on the Tower were broken, and fighting broke out as the Golden Alliance tried to bring down the Heart of the One Power itself. Lives were lost that day, but Aes Sedai, freed two centuries ago of the Oath not to kill, matched them, and the army of gold fled from their wrath and anger.
Nyere was a prominent figure that they, guarding the entrance to the infirmary, always on the ready and defensive, before attacking them outright with her blade that was no blade. But they were eventually driven out of the Towers, and Nyere was once more left in peace to Heal the wounded and the sick. Until that fateful day when Trav broke the gates of the City, Nyere worked together with Salima and Kemen to bring down the Forsaken. The battle was hard fought and long, and Nyere contributed only her strength in the power, rarely taking control, for she was not as adept as Salima in wielding the Power as a physical weapon, for Nyere's weapons were mental and easily avoided. Eventually, only they, Nephuria and Sarecer survived that titanic clash of forces between the Light and the Dark during that intense period. And it was as such, that the Yellow Ajah was not in the main forefront of the fighting, but they still suffered losses, not as heavy as other Ajahs like the Green, or the Red and Blue, but still, many sister were gone forever, to be spun out in other lives in the Wheel. Nyere was considered a candidate for become the First Weaver of the Yellow Ajah. But upon hearing that, she rejected the offer, for she prefered to dedicate her life to what she did best. Healing the wounded, the sick and caring for the orphans, and the lonely ones. And that is what she is doing. A year after the events. |

I assume that you have asked an Admin for permission to have AoL Healing as a Talent? I'm not sure about a Wilder not having a block because she was so soon discovered. I don't think that being discovered has anything to do with the formation of the block, since it is formed as soon as the person first touches the Source without guidance. But I could be wrong, others comment please. Do remember what I said about the channeling system in Salima's bio. Nyere will have to spend 19 years as a novice and Accepted, so if she spends only three years as a novice, she will have to be Accepted for 16 years. Otherwise I think it's a very good start and I can't wait to see what Nyere will become.

Do rectify those years and edit your One Power scores (she will have reached her full potential by now). And please edit the stuff about your Arches.
Other than that, I approve. |
