In case you are wondering what you should do next, you are looking at the right thread. We encourage you to look around and get a feel for the site and its purpose, take as much time as you feel necessary to look things over and determine whether Fusion is a suitable site for you! During your tour, check out a few of the RP threads to get a feel for our level. We are open to RPers of all ability levels, from beginners to experts, and work hard to create an environment in which writers of all levels can grow and expand. You may also want to look at our Main Page to see the rules and history, as well as an easily accessible memberlist and site news. Once you have decided that you want to be a member of Fusion, first and foremost, you need to register. As a guest you can only see a limited number of forums, but you can read the rules, history and IC info before you decide to join. Registering is simple and easy and your account will be created instantly. Just remember that we do have some joining requirements. You can find these in the Rules. Remember to read the rules thoroughly before joining! You must register with your characters name, which should be original and something you can imagine being used in the world of the Wheel of Time. Once you have registered, you will be able to post in the Introductions and Announcements forums. First post in this thread and an Admin will set your permissions as soon as possible. You can post your own introduction thread where you tell a little about yourself and get to know the other members. You can also upload an avatar and create a signature for yourself. Remember to add a link to your biography and your Talents to your signature later. Once your permissions are set, it is time to write a biography. Read the Biography Rules thoroughly and note that exotic nationalities and some Talents require Admin approval before you submit your biography. Please make sure that you have the required permissions before you write your biography; the Administrators have full authority to either permit or deny your request. If your character is a channeler, read the Fusion Channeling System carefully and don't be afraid to ask questions! The next step for you is signing up with the Junior Member leader of your path. If you are a novice, post in the Novice Sign Up thread, if you are a soldier, post in the Soldier Sign Up thread. You can also request for a mentor in those threads. A mentor is not mandatory, but he or she is a Senior Member who will follow your progress on this site more closely and who you can always turn to with your problems. If you are a recruit, contact Robert Laurel, who will also be your mentor. When you sign up and create your character, consider that the Shadow is one option for your character here on Fusion. In order to join the Shadow, you simply have to click on "Preferences" at the top right hand corner of your screen, and in the right hand column, click "Joinable Groups." Click the "Request Approval" link, and a message will be sent to the Leader of the Shadow, and you should be approved shortly. In addition to this, we also have available three general NPC darkfriend accounts. There is one account for each major character faction, Aes Sedai, Asha'man, and Gaidin. These are open to anyone who needs a Darkfriend in their plot, regardless of whether or not any of their handles are in the Shadow group. The Gaidin account includes recruits, Younglings, and Gaidin, the Asha'man includes soldiers, Dedicated, and Asha'man, and the Aes Sedai account includes novices, Accepted, and Aes Sedai. These accounts are open to everyone, but please do not abuse the privilage of having them. You can use them whenever you need them, and they will be around indefinitely. The username for each is the path you need (Aes Sedai, Asha'man or Gaidin) Shadowsworn (ie. if I wanted to use the Aes Sedai, the login name would be Aes Sedai Shadowsworn). The password for all three is "darkfriend" remember, the password is case sensitive. Darkfriend characters are not to be used lightly. Before using one of these accounts, you should concider the consequences of your actions. If the use of these accounts is abused, they will be deleted, and the member using the account will be warned. As long as these characters are used responsibly, the accounts will remain. Admins may delete any thread that has consequences too dire or great to the Towers, if you want to create such a thread, you need the permission of at least two admins. If permission is given, please put in the thread description the names of the admins who approved it (ie. Approved by Mother and Sapphira Sedai). There will also be a few Forsaken floating around, mainly played by one person (specific to each account), but if you need to use one of these characters, PM me with why you need it. I will determine whether you will or will not be able to use the character, and if I choose to allow you, I will send you the password for that character. Do not use the Forsaken without permission, just because you can use one of them in one plot, does not mean you automatically have permission for another one. In order to set up your permissions, we need five simple things from you: Your character's name Character's Gender Path (Aes Sedai, Asha'man, Gaidin, Noble, etc.) Alliance (Shadow/Light) Where did you hear about Fusion?
