The sun beaming down upon the denizens of Tar Valon was not hot enough to make someone work up a sweat just by being out and about but it was warm enough so as to make people prefer the indoors rather than being outside, but alas that is not how the world works and it was shown as people walked quickly from one place to another on their own personal errands or on those of others. Tyrael stood before the large and imposing world famous White Tower, right hand on hilt of right sword left hand on left. The sunny and nearly cloudless day that he had chosen as the day he would attempt to succeed in his mission was enveloped in the noise rising from all around the city for everyone was busy today going about the usual routine they carried out almost everyday, at least that is what it looked like to him. He began pacing back and forth in front of the stairs attempting to work up the courage to follow through with his plans, and after a few moments he finally did it walking briskly up the stairs and in through the large front doors that stood open to admit those who came to the tower seeking help or advice. It was rare that Myara was simply out and about without any real goal, but this was one of those days. She had already been out in the training yards, watching the new recruits as they went through morning drills, giving a tip here and there before heading off. She then paced through the quarters that were once her own home, laughing inside a bit as she watched the recruits and Younglings hurry about to make it look as if they weren't doing exactly what she had been doing years ago - making trouble or being idle. Yes, those were the days when she didn't have reports piling up, and responsibilities that really meant the difference between success and failure. These days, if she played about as she had in the past, there would be many people affected by her decision to do so, and that thought alone made her wonder if perhaps she should have already been back in her office. Instead, she found herself walking through the White Tower, and towards that spot where she had once stood, wondering if her journey to Tar Valon had been worth it, after what she had suffered along the way. Gestures were passed between herself and the various inhabitants of the Tower, though Myara did her best to keep from looking directly at anyone. The once proud woman had taken to keeping out of the public eye these days, having somehow found herself a bit out of sort and distanced from the general population of the Tower and her grounds. Her thoughts had been strangely quiet for so long that she had begun to feel as if she were very much alone, even as people passed on both sides of her near the entrance. The thought crossed her mind that she would just head out into the city for a bit, maybe to one of the Inns or some such, pass the day away the same as she had as a recruit, but in a much better atmosphere. Whereas in her younger days she would have looked a bit more like a ruffian heading out into the city, she was now wrapped in a rich blue tunic woven of a nice soft fabric, black pants and boots that had been recently crafted just for her. Yes, she'd done rather well for herself, considering that she was once little more than a runaway of sorts, and now she was a Gaidar of the White Tower. It was one of those odd moments when she wondered what they would think of her back home if they could see her right now. She pushed her thoughts aside as she caught sight of a young man who seemed to be right where she was years ago. "Excuse me," she spoke up, blue eyes already considering his potential by sight. "Is there something you're looking for?" |

Tyrael Ardinsol a name that if things went well would be known throuought the lands as someone who was great and couragous but for now he was a boy who had come to train with the Gaiden of Tar Valon and as the woman stood before him his eyes opened wide to be greeted so as he felt severely out of place in the majestic tower that was the pinnaccle of power for Tar Valon. Even though he was of the minor nobility very minor indeed actually Tyrael was at a loss for words as he was not one who could find the right words to say things so he just went with what he thought sounded good. "I am..actually I am looking for someone that could show me to where I might become a student of the sword under a teacher, you don't happen to know of anyone who could do this?" he looked at the woman pleadingly he didn't feel like he belonged here whatsoever and the sooner he could get to where he needed to be the better. |

It was only that practiced calm that kept Myara from giving a bit of laughter at the slight surprise detected in the young man before her. Yes, he seemed as if he had definitely spent his time conjuring up the courage to step up to the Tower in order to follow his dream, and perhaps he hadn't exactly expected to go all the way through with it. Instead of the laughter, her lips curled into a slight, yet welcoming smile. "Actually, you've found me. My name is Myara Ahnri, Gaidar of the Tower." She offered him the slight tilt of her head, not as she would a superior, but rather as a welcoming gesture. "If you wish to train as a recruit, please, follow me." She turned on her heels, away from the sunny day that had tempted her to go out and get away from her responsibilities for a bit, instead starting down one of the hallways towards the offices of the garrison. "How about you tell me a bit about yourself while we walk? Where have you come from, and what makes you want to train amongst my Brothers and Sisters?" While the time had long since past, Myara could remember having been in his shoes once before. She had once been the young girl who had approached the daunting White Tower with high hopes of one day being right where she was now. How the times had changed, as she was now the one doing the leading. |

Instead of launching into a long winded and excited explanation of what he was doing here who he was and all kinds of other details that could be both interesting and boring as well as pointlessly annoying Tyrael chose a different path. He retreated into deep thought and carefully chose the best explanation, a short and concise one of who he was and what he was doing here, as well as the most important question, why? "My name is Tyrael Ardinsol I am from Arafel. I came here to learn the sword because this is the most renouned center of learning and I wished to learn. It was not a child hood dream and it was nothing special to me I cam here because I wanted to learn and for no other reason." He thought he might have over done it a little with his adamant wording about only being here to learn and he hoped he had not come off as rude or obnoxious but he didn't want anyone finding out about his friends until he was ready to reveal them. Tyrael continued following Myara Anri the woman who would hopefully teach him the things he wanted to learn, his braid swaying as he walked he retreated back into deep thought trying to order his thoughts but making sure to remain listening so as not to miss any information. |
