I've been re-reading the books in preparation for the new one coming out next week. Right now I have to say the funniest segments both concern Siuan Sanche. The first is in Murandy, when she gets a very rude introduction to life outside the White Tower (she gets propositioned on the streets of Lugard, and runs away in panic when she tries to get a job singing and does not want to show a bit of leg) and the romance between her and Gareth Byrne. It's interesting how quickly Siuan falls back into a subordinate role after Egwene is elected Amyrlin. |
