Sapphira was a bit surprised when the girl stood and curtsied, and asked permission to sit again. Apparently she was taking this harder than Sapphira had intended her, well, at least the message had gotten across. "Of course, child," she said with a slight wave, her voice no longer as hard as it had been. "Now, when you channeled, what emotions were you feeling?" she asked directly, hoping for a key to the girl's block. Some people cried for many reasons, Sapphira had known women who cried when they were happy, sad, angry, scared or frustrated, just to name a few reasons. If it had to do with Inwe's emotions, hopefully she would not be one of those girls. She waited for the girl's reply, and began formulating a few ideas as to how this block might be broken. She wondered how long this one would take, she had known blocks that had been broken in only a few days, and others that had put a young woman's raising to Aes Sedai back several years. Aes Sedai cannot have a block, they would never make it through the test if they did, and what would people think of an Aes Sedai who could only channel when there was a handsome man around? The thought was rather amusing, but it would surely not cause good publicity for the Towers.

Sapphira had never had to break a block before, even as Accepted- the girls who got many such jobs -she had never been assigned it. She credited that to her being Red, even before her raising to the Ring, she had known she would be Red, even if she could not begin training with Zekieal until after the Arches. As it was, after her raising she was so busy working for the Red, and training with Zekieal on top of her normal Accepted training, she had very little of the spare time that most of the Accepted had. So, now after more than a hundred years in the Tower, it was finally time for Sapphira to break a block. It was almost laughable, but now that she was finally faced with it, Sapphira was concentrating more on what to do than trying to find the humor in her inexperience. There were some disadvantages to having been Red, and Sapphira could say with complete honesty that this was one of the very least of those. But, she had long since ceased thinking of herself as Red, now she was the Amyrlin, nothing more and nothing less. She turned her attention back to the novice sitting across from her, and waited for the girl's reply, wondering what her answer would be.

(( So so so so so sorry for my lack of posting.. Still grounded.. >Sigh< ))

"Of course, child," Sapphire said as Inwe sat, "Now, when you channeled, what emotions were you feeling?" The novice shifted uncomfortably for a moment, trying not to remember the extreme sadness and pain. Her grey eyes rested on the floor, hands folded neatly in her lap and her voice was a whisper that almost wasn't audible. "S-sadness.. and pain.." Inwe hoped her mentor would not ask for details or try to prod into her past, like Aes Sedai did, and make her bring up those memmories again. Once was enough. The girl sniffled a bit and scrubbed at her eyes with the back of her hands, avoiding her mentor's face at all costs. What will I be like when I'm Aes Sedai? Inwe suddenly thought to herself. This woman before her may have once been a sniveling novice, playing tricks on people and getting switched by the Mistress of Novices. No matter who she was then, she was the Amyrlin Seat now. Not only the Amyrlin Seat, but a cold, cruel woman. Inwe thought to herself bitterly. People would always change, and their experiences and feelings usualy determined which paths they took. The girl sighed, wondering if coming to the White Tower was a right choice, then remembered that the Aes Sedai would have hunted her down and dragged her here eventualy, wether she wanted to come or not. Any girl with the slightest bit of ability in the One Power had to be brought, so they were not a danger to others. The thought of being bound and gagged to be brought to the Tower made Inwe wonder what it was like.. Did those girls try to run away? Did they ever make past novicehood? What kind of Aes Sedai did they turn into? The younge girl's mind raced, and trying to focus on her mentor was hard, but she was succesful.. Hopefully the woman had not said anything, because Inwe surely had missed it.
