The sun had yet to rise in the east as Cayana got up. She had decided to take the day off and spend it with Radgar in the City. The line outside her office tomorrow morning would surly be long, even with the rules that did not apply to the Accepted and Novices during a free day. Some Aes Sedai did use their 'free time' to make life worse for the children after all, Cayana had never understood why.

The evening before Cayana had taken a long bath and had made sure to wash herself thoroughly, more so then usual. Radgar was supposed to come to her rooms as soon as he had finished his chores. She felt her body tingling at the thought about it. The way that man makes me act, he's not all to good for me. Cayana confessed to herself, but she knew, just as every time before that she had done the same, it didn't matter 'cause she didn't care. Unless the man was lying about his intentions to stay she was planning on bonding him at some point. She could wait though. If he just went though the arches and come out safely, she'd know that he would stay and she would be assured that he would be hers once he finished his 'education'.
Radgar truly had little to learn when it concerned the soldier level of his saidin training. The thing was, she suspected, that he had a lot more to learn on the Dedicated level, both when it came to the One Power and the theory classes. On top of that he had to find a reason to be Asha'man. She hoped he wouldn't suddenly have second thoughts at that point and join the Reds. That would feel worse then him leaving. She had no problems with declaring war on the shadow, light she had done that, just as long as he didn't specify it on the Darkfriends that where after him.

As Cayana changed her undergarments she thought back on the last time the two of them had been in the city. The attack they had dared to do in the middle of Tar Valon. We'll just have to stay in public places. Crowded streets. Eat at the Winespring Inn. The Winespring Inn was an inn Cayana had often visited as Accepted, but after becoming Aes Sedai she hadn't been there very often. Mostly because it was an Inn visited often by Accepted and the purpose of her visits in the city hadn't been to lecture children on proper conduct. Ranks in the Towers were strict, and for a reason.
As she slipped into the deep green silk dress of the Arad Doman fashion Cayana's thoughts returned to Radgar once more. She watched herself in the mirror. The way he looked at her and her body features was something she liked. This dress brought out those features quite well. I wonder if I can make him dance with me...? The Winespring Inn almost always had a gleeman around and if not there was some on the staff that could play music of a less standard but still well enough to dance to. I wonder if he has ever seen the sa'sara... Came as an after thought as she started going at her hair. There was no way she was going to dance that in public... again...

A few hours later Cayana was sitting in front of the open fireplace. She had had breakfast and was now reading some essays from a few novices.

Quote:

...and that is why the Red Shen is so important. For where would the World be without the Towers working side by side?

Cayana sighed and put the pargement aside on the table. They all ended the same, some started the same as well, with kissing up as much as possible so that they wouldn't get more punishment for writing down their own thoughts. Then they all would get teased by their fellow novices for having done just that. Cayana wouldn't punish them for kissing up in their essays. The assignment had never been to write down their own thoughts after all.

Her eyes were fixed on the fire. She was bored with all these novice and Accepted stuff. Where was Radgar?

Radgar woke up with a smile on his face, knowing that he would spend the day with Cayana had put him in a good mood from the start. He looked around at everyone else in the room, they were all up but seemed to be in a bad mood due to that fact. He washed himself quickly not missing a thing. He didn’t not have the time for a bath as much as that would feel good right now. He rummaged through his clothing and picked out a freshly pressed uniform. Puting on the pants and shirt then the coat he looked at himself in the mirror. Lifting his hand he moved his hair out of his face, "it would be better if I didn't have to wear this blasted uniform." he said as he turned from the mirror.

"Where are you going Radgar?" One of the newer boys asked him as he headed towards the door. Usually Radgar bite anyone that asked him what he was doing unless they were of a higher rank of course. But this time was different, Radgar was in a good mood, so he didn't bite the boy he only told him that he was going into the city. He left it at that the simple truth and nothing more. He quickly made his way from the Black Tower and over to the White. He followed the hallways until he reached the green Halls. He looked around at the few Aes Sedai in the halls that smiled knowingly at him. He arched an eye brown and almost laughed. She had been right when she said people have been talking Just as he thought it he watched two Aes Sedai walk together and start talking, they tried to avoid being seen to look at him while they talked but he noticed it. Shaking his head he walked to Cayana's door. Pushing it open after he knocked he walked in. She was sitting in front of the fire place, he looked at the papers laying beside her and figured she must have been doing a little bit of catch up. Walking up behind he he leaned down and kissed her cheek.

"How are you?" he said slowly and quietly, "Are you ready to go?"

((OOC: don't worry about it sweetie. I hope you don't mind the description of the day as it is in this post. I thought it would get a little more interesting at the Inn then the constant walking around ;) ))

As she sat there staring into the fire she suddenly felt a pair of lips against her cheek and heard the sound of a voice she had been longing to hear. Her breath caught and she turned her head quickly to look at him. On her lips where a bright smile and her eyes twinkled with the joy of seeing him. "Radgar." She said, stood up and gave him a hug and kiss. She was so ready to go. The cloak hung over the back of the chair she had been sitting in and she wrapped it around her shoulders as she told him she was fine and inquired to how he was. They then walked out of the room and started their walk together to the city. She had completely forgotten about wanting him to see her in that dress, but the opportunity for that would come, later.

The weather was fine today, not at all that cold, which was good since Cayana had other things on her mind then to ignore the cold today. The streets where brizzling with people of the city and the Towers. Two novices in a stand they walked by that were eyeing some broaches were a couple of new ones Cayana had added to the books just the day before. Cayana only noticed them before continuing on down the streets. The day was great and Cayana definitely enjoyed the company, quite differently then that first time she had dragged him around the city. He seemed to think the same.

The hours flew by as they walked, talked and looked in the shops and stands along the main streets. Eventually Cayana was getting hungry. They had just stopped by a stand were a fellow was selling knifes and Cayana slipped up close to Radgar to get his attention. "I'm getting hungry, what do you think about grabbing a bite at the Winespring Inn perhaps?" If Radgar was talking much with his fellow soldiers he would probably have heard of the Winespring Inns reputation. How many Accepted hadn't been sent to the White Tower ordered to explain her behavior to the Mistress of Novices, or dedicated for that matter. Novices and soldiers had a tendency to 'drop by' during free days as well. Cayana didn't much care that they all would get a bit annoyed with her showing up, she wasn't going to let Radgar get attacked again any time soon.

They walked off to the Inn, it took a little while as they had walked off in the opposite direction then that Inn laid. Eventually they reached it though and inside they could hear a nice dance tune being played on a flute and along with it the stomping of feet and clapping of hands. It seemed that the Winespring Inn did have a gleeman today. She walked through the door ahead of Radgar and gave the Innkeeper, a short skinny man, a friendly nod in greeting before walking into the common room. The man had looked nervous for a moment before he saw that Cayana was headed to the common room. He did know Cayana on sight but he also knew that Aes Sedai usually preferred a private dining room. There were those at the Inn but they where all busy already.
As Cayana entered the room she had to step aside as a few novices stumbled out. They were giggling about something inside until they suddenly noticed who they had almost run over. They stopped giggling in an instant and curtsied. Cayana only gestured to the door and they hurried out, but Cayana didn't follow them she only continued inside.
The novices had left a table empty and Cayana made her way to it before it got crowded up by the people already there. It was really not a place for private conversation, but she wasn't planning on conversing a lot while here anyway. "What would you like to eat?" A maid asked as they sat down. She was doing her best to keep away from those men trying to pinch her bottom as she walked by. Cayana ordered for them both, some chicken and water and then turned to Radgar. He probably would have liked wine, but the rules of the Tower and the company made that choice excluded. "It's a bit crowded here, but I hope you don't mind?" She said to Radgar in a loud voice to be heard over the music.

The music suddenly died down and people sat down to have a drink and rest as the gleeman did the same. Cayana noticed that it wasn't just a gleeman, it was a man and a woman, the woman had been the one just playing. She looked far younger then the man and so Cayana suspected she was an apprentice. "It gets a little less noisy when the gleemen aren't playing." She added in a more normal tone and smiled at him.

"Radgar" she said to him, her voice making him smile. She stood up quickly and gave him a hug and kiss which he returned. As she stood back he took her in, looking at her in that dress is going to drive me nuts all day. he thought, but didn't mind at all. She told him she was good and asked him the same. He paused a moment as he continued to look at her then he answered. "I am great now." As she put her cloak on he walked over to the fire place and looked into the flames. Todays going to be good. he thought turning around seeing that she was ready. He opened the door for her and walked out after her closing it behind him. They slowly made their way to the city not in any big rush.

Inside the city they made slow progress working from one store to another. The streets were full of people doing there normal business as well as novices, soldiers, recruits and a lot of other tower initiates. It made the busy city even busier. He noticed Cayana looking off to the side and turned his head to see what she was looking at. He saw two novices eyeing broaches he watched them a moment before turning his attention to Cayana. She had looked away soon after he did. He followed her from shop to shop discussing things as they went. He was enjoying himself to much to really care where they went. The hours had flew by and soon Cayana said she was hungry. Feeling hungry himself they turned and started walking towards the Winespring Inn. He had heard about it listening to a few of the soldiers talk a few days before the free day. They had talked about some novices they had been talking to and were excited at the chance of getting out of eye shot of the towers to pursue them. He had to laugh at how they would react to an Aes Sedai being there with them and guessed that he would have to deal with a few angry soldiers or recruits when he got back. But he didn't care he was with Cayana after all and it was her idea to go to the inn. probably to check up on novices. he thought with a smile as he looked down at Cayana.

As they neared the inn he could hear a flute being played inside, he looked at Cayana and hoped she wouldn't want to dance, it had bee far to long since he had done so. They walked inside and he almost laughed at the expressions on two novice's faces as they nearly bulldozed into Cayana. Shaking his head he followed her to the table the novices had left empty. Chicken and water was what they were having, he didn't mind, though wine would have been better. Looking around the dinning room he looked at the young woman playing the flute an apprentice he thought as he found the gleeman off to the side a little bit. "It's a bit crowded here, but I hope you don't mind?" She yelled at him the place being so loud as to make it almost impossible to carry one a conversation.

"No..." he yelled just as the music died down, everyone in the room turned to look at him and he glared at them, "No, I don't mind at all." He said in a quieter voice. She found it amusing and was quietly laughing at him. He stared into her eyes but could only keep his face serious for a moment before breaking into laughter himself. It was only with her, he found, that he could laugh like he was doing. She told him that it usually got quiet after the gleeman stopped playing and he could only smile at her stupidly. "That light green silk we were looking at earlier would look nice on you." He said to her as they waited for their meal to come. "As well as the darker coloured ones." He continued.

Just as the music died down Radgar answered her question with yelling a high 'No'. The entire room turned to look at them and Radgar glared back at them, probably embarrassed but it looked rather like he was angry that they even cared that he had said anything. Cayana couldn't help herself though, she laughed quietly. Radgar turned to her with the same expression, but didn't hold on long. He started laughing as well and the little knot that had formed in her tummy went away. She didn't want to anger him after all.

"That light green silk we were looking at earlier would look nice on you. As well as the darker coloured ones." He started saying, restarting the conversation between them. She smiled at him. "You seem to like me in dark colors. The only color you haven't really mentioned today is black." Her voice was filled with the amusement and happiness she felt. "If you could choose, what would you dress in?" Soldiers never had a choice, just as novices. They where supposed to be in their uniforms at all times, never changing, always the same. A lot of Aes Sedai kept away from white for that very reason. Even when they had gotten older. Cayana did avoid it, but she could dress in white without feeling odd about it, as long as she wasn't dealing with novices in her office...

"I would probably choose the lighter colours myself." He said with a smile and she returned it. "What style then?" She added as she was curious to how he would dress once he got through his education. He had grown up in Andor, sure, but many in the Towers didn't dress according to where they where born once they got to chose for their own. "I like the one you are wearing," He said with a wink, "though I must admit it is fairly distracting." Cayana started laughing again, but reached under the table to take his hand and give it a light squeeze. He had interpreted the question in a way she hadn't intended. "I wasn't quite referring to that sweetie." She said, but then turned her eyes to the approaching maid as she came with their food. She let go of his hand and took a sip of her water as the maid left them with a curtsy. Once she had left once more Cayana continued. "I was wondering how you would truly dress if you didn't have to wear that uniform." His reaction showed he hadn't been kidding around with her but actually had misinterpreted the question. "Oh! I'm not to sure. Probably something Andoran." Cayana only nodded and took a bite of her food.

The music started up again, playing a slow song. The girl started to sing suddenly along with it and Cayana shot a glance her way. She had heard the song before. It was fairly new, but usually gleemen who would sing it wouldn't sing it in a place where Tower people where, especially not Aes Sedai since it in a way mocked Aes Sedai. Most gleemen wouldn't sing it inside Tar Valon, since they feared the Aes Sedai. The song was quite nice and the tune stuck on your brain. But Cayana, as Aes Sedai, could read the underlying message as well as any other Aes Sedai. As the girl eventually noticed Cayana looking at her she started to grow nervous. She kept on though as the people around the room was listening. But towards the end of the song her voice got more and more shaky. Eventually the girl stopped and ran off. She was afraid and Cayana had meant for her to be. The girl knew what she was singing or she wouldn't have reacted the least. The other gleeman just continued to play the end and then picked up an other dancing tune. Mostly so that the crowd in the room would take their mind off of the girl.

Once the girl ran out Cayana turned her attention back to her food and Radgar. Her mood was a bit different though, more annoyed.

She started speaking to him about darker colours. He hadn't realized that he had been leaning towards the darker ones until she pointed it out. "If you could choose, what would you dress in?" she asked him. He looked at her a moment before answering. “I would probably choose the lighter colours myself" He thought over it a moment before being interrupted by her, though he didn't mind, she asked him what style. He looked at her and smiled as he answered. "I like the one you are wearing," he said winking at her, "though i must admit it is fairly distracting." She started laughing at his answer and he raised an eyebrow. Does she think i'm not serious? he asked himself. She reached under the table and squeezed his hand, he looked into her eyes as he squeezed back lightly. "I wasn't quite referring to that sweetie." He nodded but turned his attention to the maid. He watched her walk up to the table leaving the plates and water and curtsying to Cayana before leaving.

"I was wondering how you would truly dress if you didn't have to wear that uniform." she said looking at him. He looked back and felt a little stupid as he did. Of course that is not what she ment, he almost laughed at himself. "Oh! I'm not to sure, probably something Andoran." He had never really considered what he would wear after leaving the towers. He had worn quite a lot in his life, mostly choosing to wear what ever style was popular were he was living. He took a bite of his food, it was surprisingly good. When the music started playing again he looked up at girl who was singing. He had never heard the song before but from the lyrics it was one that should never have been played anywhere near the towers. Cayana turned and glared at the girl as she sang. Radgar almost laughed, it was so cute, he would never say so in front of her, and probably wouldn't think so if he was on the end of that glare. Soon the girl started looking more and more scared until finally she ran away. Radgar turned his attention back to Cayana. She seemed very agitated so he lifted his hand and held hers.

"Some people these days." He said sarcastically trying to lighten the mood, "I would not have liked to have been her just then." he laughed and she laughed with him although hers was more half hearted. "At least she knew what she was doing, I have seen those who haven't..." Radgar nodded needing no farther explanation. Concentrating on his food they sat in silence for a little bit. "So," he paused, "What would you like to do after lunch? I hear the Ogier grove looks nice this time of year." He had never been to it but he had heard a couple of the Dedicated talking about it. "Or we could visit the city some more, or both."

Radgar took her hand to calm her and said sarcastically. "Some people these days." Even in the way he said it it felt good to hear it. "I would not have liked to have been her just then." Cayana laughed a sudden, half hearted laugh, then she shrugged. "At least she knew what she was doing, I have seen those who haven't..." She didn't add what had acutally happened with them. She didn't need to.

Silence fell between them and Cayana tried her best to eat. She didn't have much of an appetite anymore though. Eventually Radgar broke the silence. "So, what would you like to do after lunch? I hear the Ogier grove looks nice time of year. Or we could visit the city some more, or both." Cayana gave him a small smile. His attempts made her feel a little better. "You haven't been to the Ogier Grove, have you?" She knew he hadn't, the way he said it told he hadn't. The Ogier Grove was always nice, even in the most awful of storms it was still nice. "No, not this one." He told her and she nodded. "Well, I wouldn't mind a nice walk there. I haven't been there for a long time." Cayana thought back to the last time, she had been newly raised to Aes Sedai and felt a need to flee the towers for a while, but the streets in the city had made her feel stressed so she had gone to the grove. It wasn't the first time Cayana had gone off there to flee the stress and such of the towers. The first time she had done that was when she had newly been raised to Accepted. People had felt imposing, and just walking through Tar Valon had constantly made her think of her Arches. Once in the Grove though she had bumped into a Brown sitting in the grass in front of a large wall with very skillful carvings of leaves and other natural motives. It blended so well into the landscape that Cayana couldn't help but to stop and admire it. Naturally the brown had noticed Cayana standing there. While helping the Brown with a few things Cayana got to hear the story about the ways for the first time in a less fragmented way then novices got it. She wondered a little if Radgar knew about the ways.

Once they had finished their meal they walked they way over to the Grove. As they entered it felt like stepping into the depths of a forrest long away. It was silent here, except for the occasional bird song, and it felt as private as it did to travel in a large forrest. Sure there where people around, but after walking through the busy streets of Tar Valon this felt almost deserted. Cayana let her hand slip into Radgars as they started walking along the path. "I was wondering, have you ever heard of the ways?" Due to what Cayana was studying it was a good thing for him to know about them, and tel'aran'rhiod and any other world she might get herself into studying. It was a dangerous work after all, and she was going to bond him eventually. "I've heard of them, lots of stories, never used them so don't know if any of the stories are true or not" She smiled as he told her. "Do you know how they where first created?" Cayana knew she would never be able to tell it the way that brown had. All that knowledge the woman had was more then Cayana knew, even after studying the Ways for along time herself. She hadn't been into them herself either. Just seen the entrance. "Not really no," Radgar said and paused, "though like I said I've heard the odd story" he laughed quietly and smiled at her. She smiled back. "Would you like me to tell you about them?" He agreed saying "Sure," he smiled, "I was once told that the more you learn the stronger you would become. Don't know how true that is though." he winked at her. She laughed softly and she started to explain it all.

"Along time ago, when the Dark One tainted saidin, it took a while before the male channelers realized what the result of it was. But once they did they tried to avoid to be exposed to the taint as much as possible. They resorted to the Ogiers steddings. The ogiers had gotten split up during this time, and traveling across the lands where dangerous to them as they are very linked to their steddings. In exchange for the protection the Ogiers gave them the Aes Sedai created the ways. A parallel world, meant for travel." He had probably only heard about the way the ways had become after the had started to fall apart, wittier to pieces. So she started to explain how it had once been, describing the place as light, living and quite beautiful. "The Aes Sedai could eventually not stay in the steddings as they where growing to longing of the feeling of the One Power. So they left, but before they could leave they gave the ogiers a ter'angreal that could make more gates and ways in the ways." She smiled at the thought of how it had once been, so beautiful and nice. Now people didn't use them all to much though. "Then some argue that the taint started destroying the ways, as they had been created with saidin." She shook her head and looked around. They weren't all to far from the gate. "Do you want to see a gateway?" She asked him and took a step in that direction. "Sure. That would be nice." He said and they started walking towards it.

They soon came near the gateway and Cayana stopped and listened. There where voices in the clearing. She gave Radgar a look before slowly and softly walking closer to look into the clearing. As she looked out from behind a tree she saw two men standing talking to each other as an other came walking through. The two engaged in conversation where dressed as normal people but the last one was Asha'man. Cayana hadn't thought less of it until the Asha'man was ordered back inside. She raised an eyebrow. What in the light.... The Asha'man walked back through the silvery gateway and came back, this time carrying something wrapped in a piece of cloth. Cayana eyes it trying to estimate what it was, but she couldn't it was far to general in size and form so it could be anything.

Radgar watched Cayana waiting for the answer to his question. He didn’t really mind what they did that day as long as it was with her. She answered him casually asking if he had ever been to the Ogier Grove. He had not been and he answered her accordingly. Radgar nodded to her when she said she wouldn’t mind a walk there. He wondered what it would be like, he heard rumors that an Ogier grove was among the most beautiful things in this world. He wasn’t sure he believed it but he would soon see for himself, he guessed. As they walked into the grove Radgars eyes went wide as he looked around. So the stories are true he thought to himself almost laughing. He felt her hand reach his and hold onto it as they walked, he gave it a little squeeze and grinned at her.

As they walked she asked him about the ways and they soon had a conversation going. He had never really seen one close up, though Isha had plenty of stories about them. She asked him if he knew how they were made, the answer was simply no and she offered to explain it to him. It was interesting, he had never really considered them being so old. He wondered how the taint must have felt and shuddered at the thought. He wondered if it felt anything like he did when ever he was confronted by his past and service to the darkone. It was as if the vile lord of darkness had tainted his soul in a way. After a time she asked if he would like to see the gateway. He said he would and soon they were off in the direction of the gate.

Lucky enough it wasn’t to far off, though he wouldn’t have minded the walk as he was with Cayana. As they approached the gate he could hear people talking. Wondering who they were he made sure to step silently as they got closer. Peering into the small clearing he watched to men talking silently and almost cursed when an Asha’man walked out. bloody Asha’man have to be everywhere He thought watching the scene before him. He almost cursed again, though this time in surprise, as the Asha’man was ordered back inside. He went and came out again a few minutes later holding something wrapped in a cloth. He looked at Cayana briefly and wondered what she would do. He didn't like the situation and wouldn’t mind being far from here at that moment in time. But knowing Cayana she would probably want to stick around and see what was going on. Shaking his head he wondered if the men before him were more darkfriends. This is starting to get on my nurves he thought as the thought of getting attacked again flew across his mind. What will she do?

Radgar silently cursed behind her when the Asha'man walked out the first time. She couldn't understand why at the time, but as soon as she heard the men she did find it very appropriate. She stood there silently herself though, watching the men without even a second thought. She wanted to know what was going on and she would watch them as long as she had to. Those 'peasants' might be Asha'man... She thought to herself, remembering once when Rialt had visited her wearing an outfit much the same as the one's these were wearing. Two novices had thought he was a peasant and Cayana had given them quite a scolding for speaking to him like they had. The two had stepped lightly around any one higher ranked for two months and not made a rule break that they had gotten caught for for an other tree. Probably because their punishment had lasted that long, but anyway.

The Asha'man handed the thing he was carrying to the man that had ordered him to get it, then a sound could be heard and two of the men cursed. The sound was one Cayana knew about, but hadn't ever heard herself. It sent shivers down her spine that icy whispering voice, drawing closer. "Flesh so fine, so fine to tear, to gash the skin; skin to strip, to plait, so nice to plait the strips, so nice, so red drops that fall; blood so red, so red so sweet; sweet screams, pretty screams, singing screams, scream your song, sing your screams...." Cayana shook due to the icy feeling inside. "Machin Shin..." She whispered so Radgar could hear her. He had probably heard of this if he had heard of anything about the ways. An arm of darkness was reaching out through the shimmering gateway as the Asha'man was trying to close it. The other two was trying to keep as far away as possible. The Asha'man eventually got the leaf in place, but seconds later the arm touched him. The man screamed loudly and the other two started look around, screams always caught attention and they clearly didn't want any. When the Gate closed, Machin Shin had pulled back his arm, but the Asha'man was sitting next to the closed gate staring lifelessly in front of himself. He was alive, but without a soul now. He wouldn't ever be cured from this.

The other two men went to check on him, one cursed but the other said. "We have to move on, it has to be placed or the mission will fail. You heard what our Master said." Master? Cayana knew little of darkfriend terminology. These men where strange, so strange. The other man was discouraged, but he nodded and started to walk after the other man. Cayana did not like this one bit and watched them as they walked out of the clearing and into the forrest, they weren't sneaking though, which was strange, they made as much noise as any city folk would do in a forrest. As it seemed safe Cayana started after them. She was going to find out what this was all about, what that thing they carried was.

Radgar watched as the silvery wall that marked the entrance to the gate turn black. He shuddered at the thought of what might have caused that, he then wished that was all that happened. "Flesh so fine, so fine to tear, to gash the skin; skin to strip, to plait, so nice to plait the strips, so nice, so red drops that fall; blood so red, so red so sweet; sweet screams, pretty screams, singing screams, scream your song, sing your screams...." He heard coming from the door and shivered slightly. Watching the Asha’man rush was almost amusing if it hadnt been for the black arm reaching towards him. Finally getting the leaf in place the doors started to close. But it was to late for the Asha’man the black arm touched him. He screamed loudly, hoped it would stop the screams were starting to hurt his ears. Hearing a man loose his soul was definitely not something he wished to hear. The man slumped to the ground leaning against the gate and looking off into the nothingness he would see for the rest of his life. The other two men quickly checked him over and spoke quietly amongst themselves. “Master” one of them said and immediately Radgar thought darkfriends. He looked over at Cayana and hoped she would not follow, which she did. Grabbing her arm to stop her she turned and gave him a look that would freeze any ones bones. He let her go and quickly followed. “Bloody woman” he spoke under his breath as he walked quickly and silently beside her.

Cayana and Radgar followed at a safe distance, keeping quiet. They didn’t talk so much but Radgar did curse once or twice as they made their way to the city. He either cursed the men or how Cayana wanted to follow them. He would probably get an earful from her about it later. They made there way into the city it was just as crowded as it had been before they arrived in the Grove. They managed to follow them for a short time before he and Cayana got split up. Cursing wildly he started walking quicker, looking for her or the men. He wished right then that they were bonded, it would make his searching 100% more effective than it was. He followed in the same direction that they had been going towards the tower. He searched for her for what must have been a half an hour until he finally found her. It was basically a stroke of luck that had caused it. The noise of the city drowned out any screams, but he could feel a woman channeling very close. He looked everywhere checking the allies first. He was frightened and angry, he suspected trouble but hoped for the best. When he did find her he cursed loudly. It took him a little bit but when he did check the right ally he witnessed Cayana trying to finish off one attacker while another snuck up behind her. He looked off a little in front of her and noticed another four men standing with blades bare. “Bloody trolloc guts” He screamed fuming his rage. He tried to grasp a hold of Saidin but it wouldn’t work. Every time he grabbed it was like he squeezed it to hard and it flowed through his fingers. Giving up for now he charged forward in an almost blind rage aiming for the back stabbing weasel that was creeping up behind Cayana.

Naturally Radgar tired to stop her. She gave him a determined look and then just kept on. He followed her, letting her do as she wished, but he had expressed his dislike for it already.
As they followed the men through the crowded streets and passed through narrow alleyways she heard Radgar curse a few times. Then eventually they got split up by the crowds. Cayana didn't have much of a choice though. The men where more important then to keep Radgar with her. He could find his way, and it was a freeday so he wouldn't get in trouble for being in the city alone. She walked into an other ally and yet an other. She was gaining on the two men who hurried towards the Towers.

Suddenly, as they had rounded an other corner four men came the other way. Cayana stopped in her tracks and the men pulled their blades at her. Only two wore swords, but it was enough of a threat for her to understand that they weren't kidding. She heard steps behind her and understood that there were even more of them. Embracing saidar she formed a few weaves as the men tried to push her back the way she had come. She pulled the knife out of the hand of one and he snarled at her. "Do you really want to do this?" She asked them but was only met with halfhearted grins that made them look quite evil in their minds.

Cayana let a fireball off towards an other one of them and used the time to look behind her, two more. One lashed out with a short knife trying to make her face him rather then the others. His strike was misdirected though as Cayana quickly moved to the side. She hit him with air and he fell on the ground loosing his blade. She turned to him, trying to knock him unconscious. But then she suddenly heard a familiar voice behind her. “Bloody trolloc guts” Radgar... She thought as she turned her head to see what was going on behind her. Radgar was physically attacking the man who was just about to put a blade in her back. She took a step aside but it wasn't enough. The man tried his best to lash out at her and hit her across her arm and side. She groaned but then Radgar was already there, they tumbled to the ground and Cayana just barely got out of tumbling with them. She turned to make sure the others wouldn't hurt Radgar and put up a wall to keep them out of the fight. One tried to run in and strike Radgar with his blade but ran straight into the wall. He gave off a sound of loosing his breath, but the others weren't exactly slow to dart off around the corner. They were probably about to go around the house to get into the ally the other way. As they left Cayana let go of the wall and hit the man she had previously tried to knock on conscious. The blow in itself didn't do it, but when he hit the wall behind him he sank down and seemed to have passed out. The other guy had just gotten his breath back. He grabbed his sword once more.

Radgar charged forward rage filling him, he watched in horror as the man he was charging struck out and sliced Cayanas arm. He sighed somewhat in relief at that, if she had not turned she would probably have died. When he finally reached the man he grabbed onto his arms and tumbled to the ground. Wrestling for a bit the rolled until finally Radgar found himself on top. Looking into the mans eyes Radgar could sense his fear. Lifting his hand quickly he grabbed the mans greasy hair and pulled his head upwards. “You die now!” He said slowly, the mans mouth opened to protest but it was to late. Radgar leaned forward and slammed all his body weight onto the mans head and thus into the ground. The sound that echoed through the narrow ally was one not much unlike a melon crashing to the ground. Blood splattered everywhere, on Radgars sleeves and on his chest, even on his face. Lifting his hand from the mans hair he wiped his face down hoping to get all the blood off of it. When he finally got enough sense into him to look around he noticed one man slumped against the wall and another stumbling to his feet and reaching for his sword.

Running forward Radgar ment to grab the stumbling man. He wanted to know who they were before he killed them all. As he ran forward his toe struck an upturned brick and he tripped. Falling to his knees hard he looked up at the man in front of him. He still seemed a little shaky, but who wouldn’t be, standing in front of two channelers that had already gotten two of your friends. Radgar got to his feet quickly and again started charging forward. The man had just enough time to bring up his sword, Radgar twirled, trying to avoid the blade. It didn’t work as well as he hoped, the blade struck him on the side cutting him slightly. Throwing his hand forward Radgar grabbed onto the mans neck and started squeezing. The mans eyes popped out a little and his face turned blue. He suddenly felt a hand on his shoulder and looked back quickly to see Cayana looking at him worry painted on her face. Letting the man drop to the ground he turned fully around. Looking into her eyes he hugged her tightly. “I thought I lost you” he spoke quietly and let her go, “There’s more of them?” He asked quietly as he watched three more men with knives bared run out from the other end of the building.

Cayana had been to busy to notice what Radgar had done to the man who had tried to kill her. Now as the man holding the sword was collecting his courage to strike again she noticed it. She felt a bit queasy, but not at all like the last time. Radgar didn't hesitate to attack the man with the sword, but he stumbled over an up turned rock and fell on his knees. Cayana felt worry well up inside but tried her best to hold onto the source. She would need it. Radgar got up, charged against the man with the blade with out second thought. Cayana though did have those second thoughts. Radgar was going to plunge straight into the mans sword so she lashed out, as Radgar turned she grabbed the blade and pulled it to the side to make sure it wouldn't go straight through him. She did manage to se to that it didn't kill him but Radgar still got injured.

In a moment Radgar held the sword carrying man in a grip he wouldn't let go of. The man was choking to death and couldn't do a thing as Cayana had pulled the sword out of his hand. She walked up to Radgar as the man was clearly dead and put a hand on Radgars shoulder. He let the man go, turned around and hugged her tightly. “I thought I lost you” He said. Cayana hadn't been al to aware of her own injuries until Radgar hugged her. She lost her hold on the source in a heart beat and held her breath so that she wouldn't groan due to the pain shocking through her. “There’s more of them?” He asked her, but she didn't have to respond as the three came into the ally from the way Radgar and Cayana had entered. Before Radgar had a chance to engage them in battle she grabbed his arm. "We leave. Now!" She wouldn't be able to help him now, and without that he would surly die since he hadn't used the one power once during this entire thing. Radgar took a step forward but was stopped by her arm. He listened to her and nodded his head slowly. They started to run out of the ally but Radgar looked back at the men and yelled: "If I find you again you will die, I know your faces now"

Cayana did her best to ignore the pain in her side. It drained any knowing of the injury to her arm. Still she didn't say a thing. They ran quite a bit before their attackers gave up the pursuit. Cayana then stopped running, but continued to walk. It was starting to get hard to ignore the pain now, and she was getting tired. "If this'll keep up I'll have to make sure to practice more when it comes to battle..." She said as a joke to Radgar. She looked up at him wondering how hurt he was. She hoped it wasn't all to bad, but never the less they would both be heading to the infirmary the first thing they did. Light I hate Darkfriends! She thought to herself as they passed by the Winespring Inn. It wasn't far to the Towers anymore but it was enough to cause questions being raised. Two persons walking through Tar Valon partly covered in blood. Sure it barely showed on Radgars black uniform. But her wound was still open and she was bleeding. It could explain most of it but for the actual reason to her wounds. The deep green dress was really not a dress to hide the clear red color of blood.

Radgar Held Cayana against him and watched his question answer it self. He took a step toward the three remaining attackers. He was ready to hurt them for wanting to hurt his Cayana. As he took his step though she grabbed his arm and spoke softly “We leave. now!” Radgar nodded his head slowly and decided it best to leave. He started to move with Cayana, but they got far he turned his head and yelled. "If I find you again you will die, I know your faces now." He would do it to, he did not care what their motives were, they attacked Cayana. They will die eventually by my hand or another's he thought to himself as he ran beside Cayana. As they ran he kept looking down at her, he was worried about her she was a little more hurt than he was. Though the wound in his side was deeper than he first thought and was starting to get at him. He wasn’t sure what was with his luck, if he wasn’t sure worried about her he might have laughed. Every time he’d been to the city he would get attacked. He thought about not coming back to the city for a while. It was just to dangerous not only for himself but for Cayana also. He would just have to find a way to keep her in the tower. They had long since out ran the men and they slowed down to a walk. When they did though the pain in Radgars side caught up with him and he groaned softly. When she started to speak Radgar looked down at her and smiled. “if this'll keep up I'll have to make sure to practice more when it comes to battle..." He winked at her but wasn’t sure if she noticed. That gave him the perfect idea to keep her in the tower with.

“That is a good idea...” He said looking down at her smiling. They were quite the scene he guessed, two people covered in blood, let alone one being an Aes Sedai. “You know...” he paused, “every time I come into the city, I end up with a flesh wound.” He said jokingly as he toyed with the cut in his side, grimacing when his finger poked a little to deep. He guessed the blood helped but as they walked they seemed to get a bit of a birth. Walking to the Towers didn’t take as long as he had suspected it would have. When they reached the towers though they got quite a few odd looks and were quickly rushed to the infirmary by an odd looking yellow. When they got there he took a quick look around and noticed the emptiness. Guess the soldiers, recruits and the like are to busy to get hurt today. The Aes Sedai seemed to start fiddling with his cut and he looked down at her. “What are you doing?” He asked a little annoyed. She looked up at him with an eyebrow raised questioningly. “Heal her first,” he almost demanded, “I can wait.”

He winked at her as a response, then added. “That is a good idea... You know... every time I come into the city, I end up with a flesh wound.” Cayana would have laughed, but she was stopped by the pain in her side. "Perhaps you shouldn't be in the city as often then," She told him back and gave him a look that told him her thoughts of him sneaking out like he had done before. It wasn't only dangerous, it was also stupid. He would only be kept a soldier longer the more he did that.

Eventually they reached the towers. Kuana Sedai saw them and hurriedly rushed them off to the infirmary. She had noticed Cayanas wound but would need help with that. Cayana sat down at one of the bed and pressed a piece of cloth against it to keep the bleeding down while Kuana, who wasn't all to fond of Cayana, started to deal with Radgars wound. “What are you doing?” He said annoyed, “Heal her first, I can wait.” The demand, and fear in his voice was clear. "Be quiet boy and let me deal with matters." Kuana told him cooly. Cayana was watching them but kept quiet, Kuana would not want her to sooth Radgar. If the boy didn't follow orders he would be punished, and Kuana knew how to punish people. Radgar stared at her with an angry expression, or at least to Cayana it was angry. He probably tried to hide it, but it was clear to her what he felt.

The door opened an two other yellows peeked in. Kuana gestured to Cayana and they looked at the Green waiting for her to come along. Slowly the Green rose and started walking towards the door. She had started to get a bit pale but she kept on walking. As she walked by Radgar Cayana looked over at him, she smiled a weak smile before the yellow sank her weaves into him and he got the all to familiar convulsions that healing caused between sexes.
Outside the yellows eyed Cayana as they walked towards an other room. It was just the same as the last one but more private. They told Cayana to lie down and she did. They investigated her health before they started linking and healing her.

Once Radgar wound was closed Kuana let go of the weaves and saidar. "Make sure to eat and drink properly and to get proper sleep for the next few days." She told him as she turned around and went to wash her hands. "As you wish Aes Sedai." Radgar said before turning and leaving the room. The hall outside was empty, most doors were open but a door a little further down was closed. The knock on the door didn't disturb the Aes Sedai healing Cayana, they didn't even care. But as he opened it the one only used in the link turned and gave him an icy stare. "Leave." She said, but Radgar didn't obey as Cayana was clearly visible in the bed. She was pretty out of it by now. "Do you want her to die boy? Now leave and stop disturbing us." The Aes Sedai told him to stop him from going further. Radgar did stop this time and stood by the door quiet. The Aes Sedai was getting annoyed, but the one actually performing the healing said something that made her just give the soldier an icy glare before turning back to Cayana.

It took quite a while but Cayana was eventually healed. Afterwards the Aes Sedai just let go and turned to leave, they couldn't do anything else. Cayana was to exhausted to do anything else but sleep and she needed it anyway. Questions would be asked in the morning, and it wouldn't be asked by the Yellows. These matters would be handled inside her Ajah as soon as word reached them. The two Aes Sedai who had healed her left the room but the one who had been healing Cayana stopped to speak to him. "Well, she's sleeping boy. You can stay, but make sure not to wake her. She needs her sleep." The other Aes Sedai sniffed but turned and left. If she had been the stronger one present Radgar would probably not have been allowed inside. She would probably have chased him out of the infirmary rather then let him disturb any of the patients. But it wasn't up to her and so the two left, leaving Radgar to do as he pleased.
