Radgar walked slowly away from his room. It had been a long day and he was glad to finally get some time to himself. He would have liked to have visited with Cayana but she was busy working with a novice or two. Deciding to take a walk in the Tower Grounds he remembered back to the first time he had visited and the scared novice he met. He remembered pinky swearing, he still found that odd but amusing. Shaking his head he wondered how she was doing. He had only seen her that once before he left. With thoughts of how she was doing he entered into the grounds. Walking along the paths he looked from face to face, bowing slightly to Asha'man and a little deeper for Aes Sedai. He ignored Soldiers and Dedicated, and walked a little wide around Novices or Accepted. He only noticed one recruit walking along the paths, he bowed his head to him. He respected them most of all of those at the Towers, honorable men and women he thought to himself as he turned down a path. It had been so long since he had been in the Tower Grounds, only having been here once before, that he lost himself in the winding pathways. Stopping by a pond he moved slowly over to it and sat down close to the water. "As good a place as any" He thought laying back and looking up into the sky. Thoughts of Cayana filled his head as he looked up at the sky. He was only half awake when he heard foot steps approaching, it took him a second to register what they were. "Light" he said jumping to his feet and twirling around, half hoping for Cayana, half expecting to be struck down. When he noticed it was a novice he sighed in relief, before looking for a way around her. He was so sure that his fear of women had left him when he met Cayana, but he was wrong. bloody women! He thought as he looked at her again. |

with a book tucked neatly under one arm and another arm wrapped around a couple of papers and her writing set, Mika made her way trough the tower grounds, obviously off to go study somewhere in the exceptionally warm winterweather. Somehow she found it strange that about a week ago she'd been walking trough kneehight snow, and now the sun burned down upon her as if it was a perfect summerday... a day perfect for studying outside, and thus Mika wasn't surprised to see quite a bit of people outside. Duetifully the novice curtsied to everyone that needed to be shown proper respect. and that was just about everyone. untill finally she managed to find a calm moment where no-one was obviously closeby and she hurried off the path into the garden itself, pulling herself from the view as she left a couple of trees and bushes behind her and started making her way to the secret bit of garden where she and her brother often sat together, chattering while Elia would be channeling secretively. As she let her feet guide her to the small pond, Mika's mind raced; like it always had eversince her brother had been 'lost'. Something with Mika had changed... or a lot of things rather. Suddenly, before she even had known it she'd reached the pond and noticed the black figure partially lying there, enjoying the warmth obviously; a quick, instinctive, glance at his collar taught her that he was a soldier. "it seems my little escapingspot has been taken already" she said softly jokingly as the other guy -who turned out to be more of a man already- turned around. Recognition dawned on her face as the shape of an Icerose flew before her eyes at seeing his face. "that has been a while" Mika said with a soft smile as memories of almost five years ago flooded back to her. "glad to see you're still around" |

Radgar continued to look at her, he noticed the books and papers she was carrying and wondered what she was studying. "it seems my little escaping spot has been taken already" She said to him her voice seemed familiar. He wondered if he had met her before. He thought about taking that as a invitation to leave but she opened her mouth before he could excuse himself. "that has been a while. glad to see you're still around" She spoke to him with a soft smile. It then registered that she was the girl he had been thinking about. How stupid he must've seemed just then. "It has been a while." He said remembering the scared little girl. "You have changed quite a bit." He said, No wonder I didn't recognize her he thought as he looked at her more closely. She seemed a lot calmer than before. He took a deep breath and closed his eyes for a moment. Opening them he looked into her hazel eyes and smiled as warmly as he could. "So..." he said slowly, "How have you been these last few years?" Sitting back down he patted the ground beside him inviting her to take a seat. I wonder if she still has that ice rose? he thought to himself as he watched her. |

For a moment Radgar seemed as if he did not recognise her, but then again she could imagine looking somewhat different then five years ago. "It has been a while." the soldier said finally "You have changed quite a bit." Mika showed a flash of teeth as she laughed at how she apparently had been right. in the meanwhile he closed his eyes for a moment and then looked upon her gently, smiling warmly He seems to be pre-occupied she briefly thought as she observed him trough her smile. I wonder what is going on in his life... or why I haven't seen him in so long. "So..." he said slowly, "How have you been these last few years?" Mika sat down besides him as he patted the grass next to him; striking her skirts smooth as she sat, she shrugged softly. "well... I suppose like any novice " she said laughing softly "the usual chores, classes, punishment. ..... a lot of that last" she added with a grin. "but recently I've finally started getting channeling classes; which is good." For a moment she looked around, making sure there was no-one around them "that's actually the reason why I came here... no-one ever comes here. wel almost never at least; it gives me a chance to train a bit with Saidar unnoticed." she thought for a moment "are you here for the same reason?" she asked as she looked at him sideways. |

Radgar watched as she walked over to him and sat down. She spread and smoothed her skirts out and started speaking "well... I suppose like any novice. The usual chores, classes, punishment. ..... a lot of that last" she added with a grin. "but recently I've finally started getting channeling classes; which is good." Radgar smiled at her trying to remember back when he first learned to channel. Though those were dark days in his life it was something still somewhat worth remembering. She looked around a moment before carrying on, mischief plane in her eyes. He just grinned at her, he remembered the first time they met, grinning was so hard. Now after smiling so much around Cayana it was a little easier, though he noticed that few could make him truly smile, faking it was somewhat easy. "that's actually the reason why I came here... no-one ever comes here. well almost never at least; it gives me a chance to train a bit with Saidar unnoticed." she paused "Are you here for the same reason?" Radgar looked at her a little surprised, but then remembered how he was when he first learned to channel. Shuddering he remembered how Isha beat him when he caught him doing exactly what Mika was doing. "No, no I'm not here for that," He laughed quietly, "I'm just relaxing with a few hours off from studying and chores. Totally stumbled onto the pond, though seeing you again was worth the stubbed toe" he said jokingly. "What can you do?" he said curiously, though he knew he shouldn't encourage the girl. |

"No, no I'm not here for that," He laughed quietly. There defenately was something on his mind, something that made him be a bit gloomy. but then again... maybe he always had been like that, after all she had been still so young and silly when she'd first met him. Light I even made the guy pinkyswear she thought amused. "I'm just relaxing with a few hours off from studying and chores. Totally stumbled onto the pond, though seeing you again was worth the stubbed toe" he said jokingly. "What can you do?" Even though she should have expected that question -after all, whe'd brought it on herself- Mika was taken aback a bit with it and started blushing a bit. "Well ehm..." she looked to the little pond. "Actually I only broke my block about a month ago..." while she was talking she was already putting the picture of the field of daisys in her mind. Saidar still came awfully slowly to her, but it would reach her in the end... at least 9 out of ten times. "So I'm still with the basics" She added the sounds and the smell and the soft breeze of the wind in the picture, in the meanwhile focussing on the pond that she saw instead of on him for she knew she'd lose her concentration that way. "and I'm no-where near as good as to be able to make an icerose like yours" she then said, as she became one of the daisys and let the suns warm rays open her petals one by one. "Oh... so you still remember that" Radgar said softly as she turned her head to him, now filled with Saidar. "off course" she smiled gently "I still have it in my room" she then strained herself into deep concentration and wove a small thread above the water, making a bit of water for a small pilar of water above the pond. "that's about it for me" she said with a blush as she pointed to the pond. Actually she'd used water, which was one of her strongest elements and it had still caused her so much effort. she'd never assumed channeling was so difficult. |

Radgar watched her blush and smiled a little. His eyes sparkled as he remembered that night with Cayana and how he had made her blush then. As he thought about it he realized where he was and stomped them down. Those are not good thoughts to be thinking right now! he berated himself and blushed slightly hoping that she wouldn’t notice. "Well ehm... Actually I only broke my block about a month ago... So I'm still with the basics" she explained to him. Radgar nodded his head in understanding. He was lucky enough not to have a block, but he had known a few who had. Back in when he was moderately trained under Isha he had helped him brake a few men. He shuddered at how they had done that, it was not something the Black Tower would do. Or so he hoped. His thoughts where interrupted when she began to speak again. "and I'm no-where near as good as to be able to make an icerose like yours" Radgars eyes opened a little wider with surprise. She remembers? his thoughts echoing his next words “Oh! So you remember?” he said quietly. He felt his skin goose bump and a chill ran though him as she held on to Saidar. He smiled at her as he waited for her to speak. "off course" she smiled gently "I still have it in my room" He was surprised at that. He was sure she would have lost in in the years since he had given it to her. His smiled had broadened a little and he almost laughed. He heard a noise by the pond and looked just in time to see a small pillar or water rising from it. "that's about it for me" She said with a slight blush. Continuing to look at the water he slowly moved his eyes from it to her. “Well that’s pretty good.” He said with a encouraging smile, “It’ll come to you as you go. Practice makes perfect.” He paused a moment, “So!” He laughed, “from what you tell me you’ve become quite the trouble maker, no?” |

with a halo almost appearing above her head, Mika deftly shook her head in a n'far-too-innocent' way "troublemaker, me? neeeever" she said at a sweet tone and then bust out in laughter along with him. "I just have my ways to escape the dull life we're put into... and apparently I'm not the only one" she nodded to him "have you been gone a while or have we somehow just managed not to see eachother in so long a period of time?" For a moment Mika was baffled with the familiarity she spoke to the man, but something within him; and how he'd soothed her all those years ago, had just given him a spot in her heart; making her trust him and act naturally with her. After all; he had pinkysworn that he'd never hurt her; and however silly it might have sounded, to Mika it still left her to be trusting with him. As she waited for him to answer her question, Mika just lay down upon the grass, hoping there wouldn't be any stains on her dress lateron, and she looked up to the sky, watching the clouds. |

"troublemaker, me? neeeever. I just have my ways to escape the dull life we're put into... and apparently I'm not the only one" she said the first bit with a voice so innocent that it almost made him laugh, as she continued she nodded to him "have you been gone a while or have we somehow just managed not to see each other in so long a period of time?" Radgar looked at her and smiled. “Sometimes the dull life is a little safer.” he said remembering his last few incursions into the city, “Well as to what I’ve been up to.” He paused, “Well I’ve been gone for the last few years, went to Shienar.” Trying to figure out what to tell her about why he left he decided to just come up with it if she asked, “I decided to come back though, the people are to nice.” He said winking at her and laughing softly. He watched her out of the corner of his eye. He was glad that she had relaxed around people, when he had first met her she was scared of everything even her own shadow. He grinned softly and laid down beside her and looked up into the sky. |

She listened to his words, and even though her mind immediately was thrown onto the fact that he'd been gone and had come back -thus needing dirre punishment and very strict supervision... at least that was the novice way- she was still minding his behavior though; there was something else on his mind... something darker; or something missing... she culdn't tell. "Oh... so you enjoy the punishment you'll be given, or have been given already then?" she asked laughingly, not letting her emotions and feelings shine trough. "or is the Black tower different at that point from the white... I always thought they'd be stricter there though" just to leave for a few years and act like there's nothing wrong...; maybe it's that that has been worrying him... maybe it's the punishment. but honestly I doubt it.... he doesn't seem to be the type that gets too worried over a punishment.. it's something deeper. and why has he gone there in te firs place? why has he left here? was he like this before? she just lay on her back, staring at the clouds who slowly crept by in the blue sky. "Sometimes I wish I could do that too... you know; just leave this place for a moment... especiallly now that Elia isn't here anymore..." she caught a glimpse of a curious look on Radgars face "My brother, I believe you've met him one while I was there... he got.... lost in his arches...." it was weird that Mika managed to say it in such a flat tone; it still hurt greatly within her, but the fact that she lay down so peacefully had a calming effect on her... "Sometimes I wish I could just go somewhere.... see something else then this white and black tower... wear something else then novicewhite... but then again.... " she sighed. |
