Faeal walked through the halls of the Black Tower with the stride of a man who knew what he was doing. He had recieved word from the counsel that his target should be eliminated. He had been silently shadowing a certain Aes Sedai and he was finally given word to strike. Faeal had no clue as to why this specific Aes Sedai was to be killed, but he had learned over a centery ago not to question his orders. with a wince he recalled how he had earned the scar that was just barely hidden by the collar of his shirt and coat. He broke himself out of the memory before it took hold of him. Now was not the time to let one's guard down.

Faeal passed many soldiers and dedicated, but none stoped him. He continued on his path, heading to the one place where he knew his prey would be, the grounds. His prey always wandered the grounds at this time of day, a form of release from the stresses of the day he guessed. He left the Tower without incident and without atracting notice. Once he was free from the prying eyes of the Tower he allowed his hand to rest on the hilt of the sword at his hip.

He noted with detachment the trainquil peace of the grounds, that would soon change. He traced over thepaths that his prey frequented with speed. He finally located her in a small area of the grounds containing a small thicket of trees and a well groomed lawn. She was standing to one side of the path, staring absently at the sky above the trees. Faeal aproached her and spoke, as his instructions dictated, "good afternoon, Nania Sedai."

Nanaia Sangre
Unregistered

Nanaia had a break, a rarity given the nature of her Shen, and the fact that, since it held both genders, there were more members. She was not about to waste this rare chance, but she knew that, unfortunately, she could not go far. She had to stay in or near the Towers, and for today chose to stay in, a day in the city did not appeal to her just then. Nanaia walked the halls of the Red Shen for a little while, but no one approached her. It seemed that everyone else had things to do, and Nanaia did not want to get in their way. She stepped out into the public halls, and made her way down to the grounds. Spring had finally set in, though the day was not warm, at least it was not snowy. She walked through the gardens, not thinking about any one thing in particular. She wondered what her Shen was doing today, whether any of them would find something, and perhaps deal with one of those Light-forsaken Darkfriends. The thought of the Shadow made Nanaia slightly angry, in all the years she had been in the Tower, she had never lost the sting of finding out that her father was a Darkfriend, nor the pure hatered that she harbored against all of his kind. For a long while she had felt guilty that her own father was one of those terrible people, and it had been part of what spurred her to join the Red Shen. She tried to shove those thoughts aside, today was a free day for her, she did not need to dwell on the darker side of the human race.

She continued to walk slowly, eventually stopping and looking at the sky. It was rather overcast, as if it would begin to rain before the day was out. Nanaia did not notice that she never started moving again, her mind wandered on to something else, and she forgot about her walk. She continued to stare absently at the sky, no longer thinking about the prospect of rain. She could not suppress a small start when someone spoke to her. She looked around to see who it was, it was an Asha'man she did not recognize. Why is he speaking to me? she wondered, it was common knowledge that few Reds made friends outside of their Shen, and Nanaia was no exception to that rule. She took a small breath before replying, perhaps the man had a legitimate reason, after all. "Hello," she said politely, she did not know the man's name to address him, so left it at that. She waited for the Asha'man to say something else, he had approached her after all, he should be the one to initiate whatever conversation he had come for, Nanaia certainly had nothing to tell this strange man.
