Sapphira waited while the weave dissipated, though the girl did not let go of saidar, and watched the girl nearly fall as she was standing. She was surprised to see the girl quickly catch herself on a wall of Air, and right herself. The girl curtsied deeply, and Sapphira could tell exactly when she recognized her as the Amyrlin. She stammered for a few moments for an excuse before falling silent, still holding the Power. Sapphira drew more on the Source, and quickly wove a shield that she slid between the child and the Source. It was not as easy as she had hoped, Sapphira was not Talented in Shielding, and the girl had been holding quite a bit of the Power, but she had managed it. She watched the expression on the novice's face as she was cut off from the Power for probably the first time in her life. Being shielded was never pleasant, but being shielded when one was already holding the Power was sometimes unpleasant to the point of pain. "Child," she said, her voice hard, "novices are not permitted to channel without the supervision of an Aes Sedai or one of the Accepted. I ask you again, just what do you think you were doing out here, channeling by yourself?" She waited for the girl to answer, her expression fixed into one of great displeasure. She was no White, who never found emotion strong enough for an expression, and she had found that sometimes a facial personification of an emotion helped to convey the message to whomever she was speaking to. Sapphira held the shield in place, she could not remember the first time she had been shielded, but she was sure she had not enjoyed it. She waited for the girl to respond, hoping that this time she would be more eloquent. She did not want the girl stammering and terrified, she simply wanted the girl afraid of her. Sapphira did not often like getting off on this foot with novices, but when necessary, she was not afraid to. She did not need to have everyone like her, and one novice certainly would not cause her to lose any sleep tonight. There were far more important people who disliked her, she knew. She looked over the residues of the girl's weave, recognizing it as a slightly simpler form of Illusion. Something most untrained girls would not know, unless possessed as one of their Talents. She wondered, and made a note to inform whoever the girl's mentor was of what she had seen. She stood patiently, she was willing to give the girl a few minutes to collect her thoughts if it meant she would get a decent, coherent answer out of her. Sapphira knew that whatever the girl's excuse, it could not be good enough to get her out of trouble. Still, she was interested in hearing what was important enough to break several Tower laws in one go. |

(( Ooooh boy! I'm in for it this time.. >Cackles evily.< ))Naishee still stood in horror, and realized at the Amyrlin Seat had hold on the Power, which made her realize she was holding it to. Her eyes widdened more, even though it didn't seem possible, and her mouth fell open as she tried to explain. She saw the woman make a weave, one the novice did not recognize, and quickly followed every single flow of the Power and stored it away. Naishee had no idea what it was, but she was interested in learning anything she could, when suddenly the flow was directed at her. She nearly screamed as a barrier was slammed in between her and saidar, and a bit of pain with it, but it was ignored. "Child," the Amyrlin Seat said, "novices are not permitted to channel without the supervision of an Aes Sedai or one of the Accepted. I ask you again, just what do you think you were doing out here, channeling by yourself?" Naishee looked at the woman again, glaring with her fists clenched at her side to keep from punching her right in the face. I can't believe it! The Power shone just on the other side of the barrier, and Naishee, furious, slammed with everything she could at the shield. It wavered a bit, and she slammed into it just a bit harder, and it snapped. Apparently the Amyrlin hadn't expected her to attempt to break it, and the woman looked shocked as the Power sprang back into Naishee, more than she had ever dared handling, but not enough to send her to the point of burning sweetness. Naishee continued glaring, then without thinking wove air and fire and was surprized to see a fireball shoot from her hands. Grinning, she drew more of the Power, this time to the point of burning sweetness, and wove air and fire together the best she could and shot them as fast as she could, not even looking at the Amyrlin Seat to see if it hit her or not. |

Sapphira waited for the girl to answer, and was shocked to feel the shield she held shudder under an attempt to break it. What sort of girl would break a shield by the Amrylin? Sapphira had not been holding the shield tightly, she had not thought that a novice would try, nor be able, to break it. Before she had the chance to strengthen it, the girl tried again, and succeeded in breaking it. Sapphira's eyes narrowed as the Power flowed into the girl, and she began weaving quickly. Sapphira blinked as a fireball shot from the girl's hand, followed by several more. Sapphira sliced the weaves on a few of them, but realized that the girl was too experienced, and had the advantage of surprise. Sapphira finally wove a wall of Air to deflect the flaming balls. Safe behind the wall, she stood, waiting for the girl to tire herself out, or burn herself out. Sapphira waited for a few moments, but she had never been called a patient woman. Finally, she took ahold of quite a bit more of the Power, and quickly wove another Air weave, tying it around the novice's arms, neck and ankles. It would not cause her any pain, but if the girl needed her hands to weave, she would find it much more difficult now, and she could not move from where she stood. Sapphira waited for the girl to stop throwing fireballs, her anger growing stronger as each moment passed. This girl was far too strong to be wasted burning herself out, Sapphira was not sure when she had seen a novice with as much strength. Even so, she knew that any girl who behaved in this manner for more than a few days would not enjoy her stay in the Tower. Sapphria was sure that the novice would not enjoy the trip to Cayana she earned from this. Channeling without permission in itself was not too bad, but failing to answer an Aes Sedai's question, and then attacking the Amyrlin were sure to put the girl on the edge of being thrown out. Sapphira wondered if that was the point to this, perhaps she did not want to be here to the point that she was willing to attack the Amyrlin Seat herself to get thrown out. However, Sapphira also knew that the Tower did not give up easily, certainly this was a most grevious offense, but if Cayana wanted to throw the girl out, she would have to have Sapphira's okay, which she would not give. She very much disliked this girl- and with reason, she thought -but she did not want to lose her for the Tower. If they could manage to make her grow up, and behave properly, she held the makings of a very powerful Aes Sedai. Sapphira could not help but pity whoever her mentor would be, the woman would certainly have a rough way to go, and hoped that whoever it was, she was a strong, stubborn woman. It would be necessary to deal with this child. |

Naishee was agrivated when the Amyrlin seemingly sliced her weaves, then after a moment wove a shield that deflected her fireballs. She memorized the slicing and the shield, thinking it might come in handy, when the Amyrlin wove something else, pure air. Seconds later Naishee felt something around her arms, neck, and ankles. It did not hurt, but it only infuriated her more. "You Light forsaken witch!" She screamed. Remembering what she had seen the Amyrlin do, she sliced the weaves of air tightly binding her, then the woman's shield and wove air and fire once again. Fireballs sprang from her hands, but then Naishee quickly switched to weaving one of her most advanced skills, the Talent she had possesed for many years. The weave was very advanced, and most could lose theirselves before she got even halfway through, since the novice had had many years to improve her flows. She wove more, the most complicated form of Compulsion she had ever done, then when the last thread was in place she sent it at the Amyrlin Seat. Naishee waited, hoping that her weave would connect so she could find some way out of her punishment. She might even be able to set the Amyrlin up for sending her out of the White Tower, what a joy that would be. But if she ever finds out.. I'm as good as dead. Naishee realized. Well then, she'll just never have to find out. I'll have to include this when it works. If it works. The possibility of her weave not working made Naishee want to cringe. If the Amyrlin realized she had tried to use Compulsion, the novice WAS as good as dead, and probably ten times over. Just as all of Naishee's fears were about to become real, her weave connected to the Amyrlin and the woman fell to Compulsion. The novice stood there, stunned, wondering if her mind was just playing some trick, or if the Amyrlin was pretending. Aes Sedai are tricksters.. Maybe.. Stopping that line of thought completely, Naishee smiled triumphantly and decided that the Amyrlin was not pretending, so she gave out her orders. "You will forget all of this, only remember coming out and seeing a novice by the pond looking at her reflection, and you will think nothing more of it. You will never recall what happened here, and if you do you will deny it and simply call it a dream. You will release me from the White Tower and send me home with plenty of coin to live on for awhile.. Hmm, what else?" Naishee looked around, wondering if it was to risky to tell the Amyrlin Seat to bow to the Great Lord of the Dark. Deciding it was, she continued, "You will not allow Aes Sedai to bring me back or search for me, and if one does you will simply allow me passage back to Cairhien. All of this you will do, do you understand me?" She waited calmly for the Amyrlin Seat to nod and assure her that she understood and it would be as she commanded, as long as it made Naishee happy. |

((OOC: Well, I came up with a way to get her out of it, hope you don't hate it, if you do, I'll think of something else :))) Sapphira swore again when the girl sliced the weaves holding her, and Sapphira's shield of Air. Sapphira watched as the girl wove a complex weave she did not recognize, though it did not look like something intended to be kind. Sapphira felt the weave connect with her, and suddenly felt as if she was hearing and seeing the things around her as through a long tunnel. Her senses were still enhanced by saidar, but she still did not know what the girl was doing to her. She felt the need to do what the girl said, though, and waited for her to speak. The novice started talking, telling Sapphira what to do, when she paused, Sapphira blinked, what was going on? No novice could do this, she realized what it was now. She kept the same dreamy expression on her face, but struggled to take control of her mind again. When the girl finished, Sapphira knew what she would be expecting, and so nodded dumbly, with a smile to match. When the girl removed the weave, Sapphira snapped back to conciousness, wondering just how to deal with this girl. Finally, she spoke. "Child," she said kindly, "let go of saidar and come with me." She started off in the direction of Cayana's office, hoping that the girl thought that Sapphira was acting under Compulsion. She wondered, as she let go of the Power, where the girl had learned such a complex form of the forbidden weave. Certainly no few girls learned simple forms of the weave outside of the Tower- and the girl was obviously a Wilder -but few knew a form that complex. Sapphira made her way to the Mistress of Novices' office, she had thought about simply sending the girl, but certainly that would be an unwise decision. Likely, the girl would strike out with the Power again, and then not go to see Cayana at all. Hopefully the girl did not suspect that Sapphira's willpower had won out against her Compulsion. Sapphira was very unsure of how she had come out on top of that battle. The weave was very complex, and Sapphira could not help but feel a slight swelling of pride in the fact that she was strong enough to beat the weave. She stamped it down, though, there was no time for that now. She led the way through the grounds, nodding at the sisters she met, she certainly did not want them to think anything was out of the ordinary. It was not every day that the Amyrlin was seen leading a novice through the grounds, but neither was it so very rare that it should cause any conversation. |

Naishee looked pleased when the Amyrlin nodded dumbly and smiled, then waited for her to comply to the orders that had been given. "Child," the Amyrlin said, "let go of saidar and come with me." The novice blinked, wondering if her weave had worked, and remembered that 'child' was how the Amyrlin or any Aes Sedai adressed those of a lower ranking, so it was to be expected. Nodding, Naishee released saidar after the Amyrlin did, and followed her down the hall, looking as innocent as a novice should. There was certainly no need to draw attention, else someone might discover the Amyrlin had been placed under Compulsion by a novice. Then they might discover her secret. Surely few knew such a complex form of the weave she had placed on the older woman, and it would cause alarm and question amoung the inhabitants of the White Tower. No, that would not be pleasant. I may be 'strong' as the Aes Sedai that brought me here said, but I am sure the hanging of a Darkfriend would be thought much better. Naishee pondered other possibilities as the Amyrlin continued to lead her down the hall. Brain washing would seem logical, but if word got out and rumors started, that would surely not happen. A Darkfriend not being put to death would be another bad record people would keep of the Tower, and the Aes Sedai would surely not want more reason for kings and queens of powerful nations to doubt them. It was also quite possible that such an act would cause rebellion amoung the nations and cities surrounding Tar Valon. Naishee noted the Amyrlin acting like one of her ranking should, which once again made her wonder if the Compulsion had worked. She payed no heed to novices, but nodded to Accepted and Aes Sedai. The Amyrlin always did that. Would her normal conduct be dispelled by the effects of the weave, or would it stay since no words about it were spoken? Continueing to ponder, Naishee followed the woman before her with only half a mind on where she was going. |
