Name: Aloria Age: 16 Nationality: Tar Valon Appearance: Green eyes with flecks of silver and gold, White hair that goes to her thighs with very soft curls, she is average height and slim. Height: 5’6” Weight: 115 Lbs. Personality: She is a happy girl, that delights in the small things of life. She works hard, and is ambitious. Path: Aes Sedai… Rank: Novice Alliance: Light Strengths: Cheerful, smart, determined and hard working Weaknesses: Over eager, Flighty, often day dreams Talents: M. Spinning Earth fire m. Weaves Strength in the One Power: Average Element Strength: Air-average Fire-Strong Earth-Average Water-average Spirit-Strong History: Aloria was born the daughter of a kitchen maid of the White Tower. She never knew who her father was; that never bothered her though she had never taken the time to ask who he was or even ask his name and she was quite content with it just being her mother and her. It was all that she had ever known and there fore she did not notice what she was missing, even though her friends had fathers. For as long as she could remember they had lived on the tower grounds, yet she was quite sure that before they had lived in a small house in the city before coming to the Tower, but her mother never talked of those times and Aloria never questioned it. Her mother tended to call it the dark times; Aloria assumed that meant the time she had spent with her father, but she never knew for certain. While Aloria had never asked questions of their past she knew the way that her mother worked and knew that getting answers from her would be like pulling teeth. Her mother was a kind woman, who worked hard to keep bread on the table. She understood her responsibilities to her daughter and herself. Aloria helped her mother in anyway that she could think, wither it was cleaning or cooking, no task was too large. She even tried to help around the Tower, but made sure that she stayed out of everyone’s way, there was no use in getting her mother in trouble. Yet, she was still a child and getting into trouble can as part of the package. She would stumble across the path of some Aes Sedai or another, but they would always smile at her in a way that she did not understand then they would move on. Many nights, after all the chores were done her mother taught her daughter to read and write, a gift she had be given when she was a child, and often told Aloria stories of the great Aes Sedai and all of the wonderful things that they did as a treat once their lessons were over; although she never had to make her daughter do her studies. The little girl fell in love with the idea of being an Aes Sedai, spending as much time as she could ever hope for reading books and learning new things and meeting different people. At night she would dream of the great Tower. One of her fondest memories was when she would go out during the day and seeing the Aes Sedai of the green Ajah, they were always so friendly to her and they hung around the men seeming to have a wonderful time. Many of the other Aes Sedai were kind, but none of them took the time to really speak to her, not that she ever expected them too, they were very important. The little girl grew into to a lovely young woman that had many friends. As she had gotten older, she spent less time reading and studying and more time playing with the other children. A smile was never far from her lips and that combined with her pleasant nature made her popular with the other children. Most of her friends were silly girls that had also grown up in the tower, they often laughed at silly things and boys. She would spend her days playing little games with the other girls, and tease the boys mercilessly, a task that she enjoyed very much. One day while playing some game or another she ran to fast and wasn’t looking at where she was going than tripped over her very own feet. She cursed herself and her stupid feet, because she had run over another person. She had always been a little on the clumsy side, and this was nothing new for her, nor was running over another person. Once she stood and dusted herself off, she could not believe her eyes. It was an Aes Sedai, in the flesh. One of the women that she adored, and she had run over her. Curse her bloody feet, again. She apologized profusely and curtsied, she had never been more humiliated. What came as a shock to her was that the Aes Sedai merely smiled at her and touched her cheek. "You have a gift child," her sweet voice floated through Aloria’s head. "Come," Without another word she was taken to the Tower. Her inner most dream being fulfilled, she would be an Aes Sedai. The minute that she stepped over the threshold and signed the Book of Novices she was filled with an overwhelming joy. |

That's a good story, Aloria, but the Bio is rather short - I know you can do more

Well, here's a few ideas, hopefully they'll get you on your way.
Aloria was a Tower maid's daughter, did she grow up in the Tower, or in the city of Tar Valon? If she grew up in the Tower, what was that like? If not, then what was it like to grow up in the city and help her mother with work in the Tower so much? If Aloria grew up in the Tower, then the Aes Sedai would have known from the time she was a child that Aloria would one day channel, perhaps they wouldn't tell her right away, but they would know. What sort of friends did Aloria have? You say she loved to study, and also that she had many friends, did she have a hard time sometimes choosing between books and other people, or did people always come first? Growing up around the Towers so much, Aloria probably would know something about the Ajahs, perhaps she developed a special interest in one or two of them during her daydreams of being Aes Sedai (of course, she can always change her mind about what to do, just because she dreams of one Ajah does not mean that's what she has to be ;)). Add more details about her childhood, you say that she helped her mother, and then you jump right to one instance in her teenage years. Does that help? By the way, her name isn't Aloria Sedai yet.

If you would like to have the Aes Sedai know of her ability, don't be afraid of PMing me, cause if that's so I wouldn't be surpriced if Cayana was the one to go get her when she thought the girl was ready and such ;) |

I have added a little more... Not much I know. I am sorry that I haven't been at all active...Any other pointers on what I should do would be greatly appericated... I will be far more active once I get this bio done, I don't feel right RPing if I have not been approved, and Writting the Bio is always the hardest part for me...I will sit down and revise this now that I have a little more experiance...Thanks, and again I am sorry. |
